i have an 07 250r i change my oil about every 4-6 hours transmission every 5-8 hours oil filter every oil change and allways check oil levels before every major trip keep the engine clean around any bolts/caps you remove soo you know if their is a leak and keeps objects like dirt out of engine

kick the bike when the drail bolts are out a few times, but remember to do this steady and hold the kill switch in.

All internal combustion engines need lubricating oil in them. 4stroke has the oil in the engine while 2stroke needs it mixed with the fuel.
So we learnt how to relieve the motor of its engine oil, but not how to fill it up? Hey at least the gearbox has oil...

Ya i have a 06 completly rebuilt, id say the top end is more difficult, i had the vavles done at a shop
dont have to have 80/85 for transmission. you can have the same oil for both. cheaper also

+ReFz crypto The manual states to use 10W-30 or 10W-40 (depending on temperature) in the transmission. Check for yourself.
