the reason they disappear is because if you are playing a ladder match and a table breaks in the middle of the ring you can’t place a ladder there, it will glitch out and either freak out and go flying or the player won’t be able to place it there
OK the tables disappearing is an improvement. In 2k15 I always had problems with tables breaking in certain areas and then not being able to place ladders there and win the match so I had to restart.

Tbh only 5 and 8 are downgrades. Removing features =/ downgrades, they don't affect gameplay at all. (Except for the two i mentioned). In fact, making tables disappear is an upgrade, i remember those table bits getting stuck and being unable to place tables/ladders near them. Also, referees are always removing stuff from the ring so it makes sense.
I don't find a good reason to buy it if you don't have it already. Backstage, 8 Man Matches, and better graphics are what you're really paying for. I regret buying it.
It's a case of "making a game too realistic that it gets boring fast".... *games are played to escape reality* or *do things that aren't possibly in reality* or *thing's you wouldn't typically see* ,so if they were able to make an *arcady* (not too arcady) *game with dope graphics* it could turn out great,by allowing the player to have more fun. Some examples: SYM,HCTP,SvR 2007,SvR 2011,WWE 2k14
Except alot of those problems were ones 17 also had... Seems like a big waste of time and a bit of lie because the title suggests that there are new downgrades when that isn't the case

The graphics literally haven't changed since 2k14 you degenerate. There's still a fuckton of bugs and glitches with no improvements to the core gameplay and anything that has been added is either minute or should have already been in 15.
The game is alright, it's just the main issue I have is the fact that 2K have turned the difficulty way too high like Easy is now Normal, Normal is now Hard, Hard is now Legend and Legend is now ??? as well as the season mode, it is way too short and way too difficult at times (like with the specific stipulations that you HAVE to literally do otherwise you have to redo the match again and again until you get the thing done, especially with the MITB match in MyCareer), MyPlayer being stupidly rediculous, like having to get loot crates to unlock stuff in MyCareer as well as HAVING to go online all the time to unlock the stuff and get loot crates as well as VC and Upgrade points.

I’m okay with the game restricting placement of tables and ladders. Properly placing them for things was always somewhat tedious. Especially when I’m just trying to superplex my friend before he recovers. Also placing a ladder and climbing it just to have your guy unable to get the briefcase cause it’s a couple inches to the left was annoying.
Can you create Divas in 2K15? What about having a replay and video editor? Does the game have that? How many slots to make your own wrestler? Who trains you in Career Mode? Bill DeMott you say? Who does commentary? JBL? What custom options were there to create and modify wrestlers? How well was importing face scans and logos implemented? What was the DLC like on PC? How many could be in a match at once? Did it have backstage brawls?
I love that 2K gets rid of all the fun, over the top content from the old WWE games so they can have more "realism", and then in new games there's a huge amount of glitches, tables don't break, and instead of putting someone through the Hell in a Cell you just teleport to a different part of it.
They could add ONE thing back and I personally wouldn't care what else they downgrade or remove....custom soundtracks. Being a Create-A-Wrestler junkie, it kills me when my original awesome divas and/or guys have to walk to the ring using a WWE reject instrumental or even worse one of the superstars tracks.
Overall this is a great list. Every year these games see things removed, for no apparent reason. However, I disagree on numbers 4 and 6. Wrestlers never run while holding a ladder or table in real life, so removing that feature is actually an improvement. Having a preset position for ladder placement makes ladder matches far better, as setting them up in the exact spot was very frustrating in previous games.

The game have improved considerably just because the old games with less detailed graphics were able to keep more things in the background (tables not disappearing etc) doesn't mean they were better because they only did that with less graphical challenge because at the time and age graphics didn't really matter like it does today.

Also wish the weapon wheel was available for fca,last man standing matches,triple threat and fatal four ways etc. Match creation disappointed me this year can't even make a extreme rules last man standing. Pretty simple match type I should be able to make right?

Also the "you can't place tables wherever you want" thing is not new in 2K18, that was in 2K17 as well. Also #8 is not really a thing. There's still lots of rope interactions you can do. There's a facebuster that can glitch them out of the ring if performed in the right spot. And #9 is just a complaint where they got rid of some of the old moves. They will probably be replaced soon. So I'd say now there's only 6 downgrades not 10, and 2K18 is still a much better game than 2K15.

half of these I either done really notice nor care about, showcase mode, limited tables, less tables to use, limited places to place tables, cant run with ladder or tables. I honestly never understood why they had to regulate the use of weapons, 2k15’s weapon physics were the best on the new generation. They should keep the table match table meter thing and the new ladder match minigame though Edit: By Regulating weapons I meant you can only put Tables and ladders in certain places and only use them and other weapons in certain ways. IGN put it best. The series take one step forwards and 2 back with each game.
I don´t really miss the showcase mode. The career mode could be better though since older games like SVR 2008 had a great season mode that was way more fun to play.
number 2 and 8 are actually good, they broke the damn game, the rest too are actually the lesser of two evils, the tables were just taking too much space and made the game harder to control, same with their random placements, the ladder shenanigans tho is sad, although understandable as it follows the same logic as the restrictions imposed on tables.
This is the first 2k game I've ever bought. It's also the last.. The only thing i find fun about this game is making the teletubbies square off against Freddy, Jason, Michael, and Chucky.
Im having a recurring problem in universe mode... sometimes when the match is loading its make the "errrrrrrr" sound then completely kicks me out of the game back to the home menu... then i go back in and try to load the same match and it does it again... so i just skip ahead a few matches amd it go backs to normal
Let's be honest here: 2k18 is not that much of a game. Career mode is a pain. It's just bad. They really should do the same thing as NBA 2k18 did and even FIFA did. Create a character and go for a predetermined (and long) storyline. You can even start in bingo halls or other made-up indies and slowly work your way to a try-out at the Performance Center. Gives us cutscenes, backstory. They were boasting about giving the player the chance to walk freely but that mode is just bad and a waste of time...
Idk about you guys, but the physics engine in 2k15 was my favorite thing. The amount of hilarious/brutal moments I had with that are too many to count!

Let them hate us so long as they fear us. Brood forever. I am a veteran of the SvR series as the WWE series use to be called Smackdown vs Raw. I started back in SvR 2007 and the last year i played was 2013. Between people running around with hacks & DDOS attacking people offline the game felt broken. And that was on top of the glitches that were never fixed each year that the community exploited. Now i am not saying my clan did not exploit these as Brood was public enemy # 1 on the SvR/WWE games. But that was the way it was back then you either used what exploits you could or you would lose to the majority of the community who did use these exploits. SvR was a great and very competitive series at one time but between the growing number of hackers the growing number of glitches & everyone booting each other offline then with 2ks horrible match making system. Hell in 2k15 you could hardily connect to a match to even play anyone let alone stay connected because in years passed with each new game you would often just get disconnected from the lobbies more and more each passing year. This was once a super super addictive super competitive fun gaming community that was at its peak in 07 08 09 10 and 11 but by 10 the issues were really stacking up and by 13 the franchise was badly suffering. Yes most people loved 13 BUT the competitive side of 13 was toast due to game breaking hacks clitches & DDOS attacks. Shortly after the game fell apart due to 2k not being able to keep matches connected then eventually it sounds like they had given up on lobbies from what i hear because i was gone by the start of 13. The Brood clan lives for competition and when the competition left the SvR/WWE series so did The Brood. Brood Bloodbath here and if the lobbies, leaderboards, & competitive gaming ever returns to the WWE games The Brood will too. You can count on it.

Even though theres some less stuff. 2k18 is one of the best wwe games in a long time.
I honestly never understood why they had to regulate the use of weapons, 2k15’s weapon physics were the best on the new generation. They should keep the table match table meter thing and the new ladder match minigame though
Edit: By Regulating weapons I meant you can only put Tables and ladders in certain places and only use them and other weapons in certain ways. IGN put it best. The series take one step forwards and 2 back with each game.

I don´t really miss the showcase mode. The career mode could be better though since older games like SVR 2008 had a great season mode that was way more fun to play.
Practically everything on this list had to do with tables and ladders, and most of this stuff like 2k showcase hasn’t been here for a few years
number 2 and 8 are actually good, they broke the damn game, the rest too are actually the lesser of two evils, the tables were just taking too much space and made the game harder to control, same with their random placements, the ladder shenanigans tho is sad, although understandable as it follows the same logic as the restrictions imposed on tables.
Havent played any wwe Game since 2010, but 2k15 looks dope. Must have been a nice multiplayer experience

2k15 is worse but the physics look better compared to 2k18.
This is the first 2k game I've ever bought. It's also the last.. The only thing i find fun about this game is making the teletubbies square off against Freddy, Jason, Michael, and Chucky.

The ONLY thing that bothers me about 18 is the crowd lighting. It's not as bright as 17
Im having a recurring problem in universe mode... sometimes when the match is loading its make the "errrrrrrr" sound then completely kicks me out of the game back to the home menu... then i go back in and try to load the same match and it does it again... so i just skip ahead a few matches amd it go backs to normal
Let's be honest here: 2k18 is not that much of a game. Career mode is a pain. It's just bad. They really should do the same thing as NBA 2k18 did and even FIFA did. Create a character and go for a predetermined (and long) storyline. You can even start in bingo halls or other made-up indies and slowly work your way to a try-out at the Performance Center. Gives us cutscenes, backstory. They were boasting about giving the player the chance to walk freely but that mode is just bad and a waste of time...
Idk about you guys, but the physics engine in 2k15 was my favorite thing. The amount of hilarious/brutal moments I had with that are too many to count!
I think it will come back, but I don't know when.

Everything did downgrade but the running with tables or ladders is understandable because no one runs with them unless if they are going to him them with it

REDX 203 im still playing WWE 2K15 but im gonna buy WWE 2K18 cause it have a great roster, many match types, better grapchics and GREAT character creation. WWE 2K15 might have better ladders and tables but thats it :D

Some of the things you say are right, but do you remember how hard it was put someone through a table in Wwe2k15? And what about the fact that it featured the smallest roster ever in a Wwe game?
Let them hate us so long as they fear us. Brood forever. I am a veteran of the SvR series as the WWE series use to be called Smackdown vs Raw. I started back in SvR 2007 and the last year i played was 2013. Between people running around with hacks & DDOS attacking people offline the game felt broken. And that was on top of the glitches that were never fixed each year that the community exploited. Now i am not saying my clan did not exploit these as Brood was public enemy # 1 on the SvR/WWE games. But that was the way it was back then you either used what exploits you could or you would lose to the majority of the community who did use these exploits. SvR was a great and very competitive series at one time but between the growing number of hackers the growing number of glitches & everyone booting each other offline then with 2ks horrible match making system. Hell in 2k15 you could hardily connect to a match to even play anyone let alone stay connected because in years passed with each new game you would often just get disconnected from the lobbies more and more each passing year. This was once a super super addictive super competitive fun gaming community that was at its peak in 07 08 09 10 and 11 but by 10 the issues were really stacking up and by 13 the franchise was badly suffering. Yes most people loved 13 BUT the competitive side of 13 was toast due to game breaking hacks clitches & DDOS attacks. Shortly after the game fell apart due to 2k not being able to keep matches connected then eventually it sounds like they had given up on lobbies from what i hear because i was gone by the start of 13. The Brood clan lives for competition and when the competition left the SvR/WWE series so did The Brood. Brood Bloodbath here and if the lobbies, leaderboards, & competitive gaming ever returns to the WWE games The Brood will too. You can count on it.
