That was neat! Thank you for showing us. The weirdest part is my parents have that exact same horse painting. I think I bought it at an auction ages ago. So weird and a bit sad to see it on top of all that junk.

I just get the feeling that there was so much sadness in that house.
I got the same feeling, makes me wonder if they died alone and they had nobody in their life to clean up after they passed or nobody cared, or they shut everyone out of their life. Maybe the hording was a result of them being alone and compensating their loneliness with accumulating things...So many questions that will never be answered.

The vandals have been through there several times trashing it more each time.
I've been watching your videos and I am surprised that there aren't a lot of wild animals living inside these places that you see running around when you enter them. I have to give you kudos for stepping through all that brush in the beginning of the video on the way inside the house, I was born in Goldsboro NC and my grandmother is still alive and when I was a kid I remember a lot of spider webs when I would explore the trees behind her house, even now when I visit Kings Mountain NC where she lives I always seem to see a huge spider or centepeid
I believe I know where this house is.. Clay county is very close to where I live! Glad you explored this one because, I have always wondered what the inside was like!

here is what is sad this house was lived in like this. I know because I work cable and I see this daily.
It looks like that place belonged to an elder person . Maybe they developed dementia or had mental problems , for the house to be in that condition . That barnyard / farm scene picture looks like it could be valuable , like something from Antiques roadshow!

I feel you are right on that. Hopefully who ever didn't die there succumbed to the mess and its hazards. A good example of Why we need to look after our elders!

If there is so much mess, it is likely the house was burgled, furnitures all turned upside down, drawers pulled out. Thieves would make this much mess when they search for money and valuables.
I hope it was trashed after they moved out. Very sad.

Bob S, I agree with you. You can pick up anything from those places. Lice and scabies are notorious to get rid of.

I think it was mostly trashed after they left...most likely someone elderly that no longer could keep up maintenance...and no one helped or cared to manage things for them...

Gotta say, I find it funny that in most of these homes we see hoards in, we also see gaudy religious décor as well. These types people cared enough to be hanging giant pictures of Jesus up, yet didn't have enough pride in their home or respect for it to keep it clean.
Because you KNOW foe a fact this place wasn't in top shape even when people were loving here.
Very sad.
