Huub, I’m so grateful for this information & video. I’m an older guy (74) and also have a 30’ sailboat. It’s very likely I will be sailing solo as well. Comfort is a big factor for me. I can’t thank you enough for this video! R/Jim Grigsby Virginia Beach
I have never sailed before and new at learning and your videos are very helpful. I am a slow learner but usually get better than most at what ever I do.
This is the most informative and comprehensive overview of the locations and processes that I have ever seen on all of the channels I follow! I may not need this data this year, but certainly next. I’m bookmarking this video.
What a wonderful tool for new sailors of the East Caribbean. You are so warm and friendly! Very informative and well done, Huub! Enjoyable to watch even if you're not planning to sail the East Caribbean.
You are so good at showing us couch potatoes the way to be a full time sailor ... you are a get it done kind of guy ... thank you for teaching us ... ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊
Lots of very useful information to help with not only sailing the Caribbean but sailing in general. The graphics were well done and your on screen delivery was quite good. Thanks for sharing.
Huub, this was the best, THE BEST, all inclusive video I have seen on sailing!!! You sure have been through it. I like the little details. I have forwarded this video to a young friend that is acquiring his 1st boat in a Month. He knows less than you did. But hopefully this will help him. THANK YOU SO MUCH! 🙏❤🇺🇸⛵👣🤗
Oh, one question. He wants to get started in UA-cam and is basically using his phone right now. What editing software would you recommend? Thanks so much.

Hell yeah broo 🤙🏾 thank you so much for it!! I plan next year to buy my sailboat in the caribbean and cruise around! Gives me an idea where to start! Someone reccomend to buy a boat im martiniqe?
Hi Huub, would the topic for a video of what is absolutely necessary for cruising and sailing on a sailboat be of interest to you? Some kind of a minimalist list for want to be sailors on a budget and what is needed for it, for navigation and survival.
@@HuubVlogs Also some sort of monthly expenses lets say for a typical month of you cruising how much it costs to cruise. Not sure if you would be comfortable of disclosing your own expenses or just a video of general expenses monthly cruising were you are would be highly appreciated. All the best.
What do you think about the usefulness of local cruiser networks as a resource (places to visit on a new island, or not; best places for groceries, fuel, other services, etc; weather window discussions; possible buddy-boating arrangements for next passages; social get-togethers, etc). I've heard there's an active cruisers-net in Grenada - I'm guessing other islands have them too? How to you find them? - via VHF upon arriving? local Facebook pages?
Hi! There are local cruiser nets in every "big" anchorage. You'll meet a lot of other cruisers already on your way to check-in. If I want to listen to the cruiser net, I ask one of the other cruisers in the anchorage what it is. Most people will know it! Once you are "doing it", all that information will arrive quickly after you arrive at a new place... :)
You really should censor your personal information on your RYA Certificate including dob and all reference numbers. Congrats on passing it. Must you do Coastal first or can skip? Great channel. A lot of work put in for all the directions and animations
@@HuubVlogs That's a pity, because with all the places that you visit, your contribution would be very useful to other cruisers eg some of the small fresh produce markets, beach bars, snack huts, walking trails etc
Okay, so your you're great and this video is terrific BUT I think you missed a big opportunity. 1:48hr is too long. You could have broken it into 4 parts. I'll have to pause it and come back again later.
I think you should be more specific regarding January 6 when it comes to voter fraud. Republicans need to know you do admit about voter fraud,as Donald Trump would have won. ❤
My fukn man👍 I bought a boat in St Croix and 😮I’m completely freaking out, You have calmed my expectations down, thank you 🙏 soooo much!!❤
Also looking at boats that are in the Virgin Islands! Our plan is Summer of 2026, best of luck to you.
