Revenge of the mummy and escape from gringott's are amazing dark ride/coaster hybrids. The first time I went on the mummy, I had no idea it had coaster sections. I thought it was going to be a traditional dark ride. The coaster sections really took me by surprise.
You’re still killing it with the vlogs man. And the wooden warrior girl rip ride rocket post ride review was cool to see her personality shine through. Keep it up. You’re one of my fav coaster accounts cause you have genuine reactions that don’t gate keep and have positive outlooks.
I've been going to Universal with my 3 cousins a few times last year (our favorite rides were E.T., MIB, Escape from Gringotts, and Revenge of The Mummy. ) It really is a great park. This is my first time on this channel but I'm glad to see you guys had a good time!
Perfect thing to do is do Islands for a day. Then do this park for half a day and catch the hogwarts express back to islands again for night rides on Veloci and Hagrids!
Why does Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit exist? *Because B&M was busy.* Universal Orlando was inspired to do a music themed coaster after the success of Hollywood Dream at Universal Japan, a B&M mini hyper that had on board audio music you pick. However, B&M had a full construction backlog that was several years deep. Instead of waiting, they went with an offer from Maurer. They found out why Maurer didn't have a backlog of orders. Imagine if they would have waited, and got a B&M hyper/giga that danced throughout USF.
Hollywood Rip Ride Rock It is an underrated coaster, but I got the front row so I understand why some don't like it as much. The Mummy was my favourite ride in the park
HRRR still has a secret song menu you can look up online. It’s very hit and miss that it will work though. I got it to work on one car and then didn’t the next.
This was the most anticipated vlog of this trip for me since neither of you guys have gone here in forever and it DELIVERED. I had so many great memories and laughs at this park the 2 times I went. And have to commend you on picking Darude’s Sandstorm😎🎧👏🏻I was bummed when they took away Harder Better Faster Stronger and even my mom enjoyed her ride with Cypress Hill’s Insane in the Brain. But at least there’s plenty more Daft Punk on Tron Lightcycle🤖
Had to do a double take at the title. For a sec i was like "Marc, youve already been to Universal on this trip" but then i rememebred that was Islands of Adventurr and not the main park
I'm curious what your favorite shooter dark rides are. Men In Black is definitely my favorite followed by Flooded Mine and then there's a huge drop off. I find shooter dark rides to be underwhelming unless they can stand on their own without the shooting effect and Men In Black definitely can.
Universal said that Gringotss is a combination of Vekoma, Intamin and Dynamic attractions combined. There was also a 4th company involved which I forgot.
If you ever were able to ride Curse of DarKastle, Escape from Gringotts feels like a cross between DarKastle and DarKoaster but with a Universal budget. DarKastle would pause you in front of a screen (like Adventures of Spider-Man) but then you'd move through the dark atmosphere and feel like your ride vehicle is falling down or tipping over. So just add in the lighting effects, dark atmosphere and launches of DarKoaster and a Harry Potter theme and you've got Gringotts.
This is probably the weirdest park in central Florida, mostly because it has such a bizarre identity crisis. It really doesn't know what it's supposed to be about. That said, I think it's handling its identity crisis better than Hollywood Studios or EPCOT because those parks have completely lost their way. I wish Hollywood still had ET. It used to be there when I was a kid. The two USH rides I'll never get over losing are ET and Back to the Future. I'm glad ET is still available at USF.
@costerdash I went to the Bourne show on 1/25 and the same thing happened in the middle of the show, they said that there was a malfunction and they were working on it and they started telling how the show works, I think it’s like a break for the actors to get ready for the next scene.
Glad you liked this park! I was pleasantly surprised with it when I visited last year. With all the crap it gets in the community, I was honestly expecting worse. Still far inferior to Islands of Adventure, and I agree that it should be the next candidate for investment once Epic Universe is out the door. But it's still a fun time as is!
Transformers has grown off me like crazy. It’s the equivalent of a Disney live-action remake of Spider-Man for me. Fortunately, that ride being overrated is countered by The Simpsons Ride being mad underrated.
Bro I’m going here in April this vlog will help me so much, thank you also I backed out on their x-car rip ride rockit 💀💀 can’t blame me as I was 9 at the time Also fun fact! Ones of my mom’s friends husband actually made that dragon effect on the gringotts bank for universal!
I never understood why the Gringotts elevator takes you to the basement but then you have to walk up two flights of stairs to the coaster, better to just stop two floors earlier 😂
The elevator doesn't actually go anywhere. It's all on the same floor as where you walked in at. You have to walk up the stairs cause the coaster doesn't have a lift hill in it.
Was disappointed in gringotts personally. Thought it was one of the most meh rides in the entire resort. Anything with 3D glasses basically is a middle finger to 1/3 of the population. Mummy slaps though!
Revenge of the Mummy and Escape from Gringotts are the best rides there. Rip Ride Rocket is fun but not great. Transformers is fun but Spider-Man is better. I actually don't care for MIB. Everything else is forgettable. I noticed you didn't do Fast and the Furious which is the worst ride Universal has ever made. They just haven't invested a lot in this park lately. It really needs more.
It’s legitimately one of the worst large scale coasters I’ve ever ridden. It’s just absolutely terribly designed. Nothing besides the non inverting loop (which also sucks) is even a real element. Just pointless meandering. Has zero forces whatsoever besides jackhammering
Universal doesn't own Universal Music, it was spun off in 2004. Like Universal Music Japan has a thing with Disney Music Group. The company is formerly based in the Netherlands apparently: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Music_Group

So glad you all enjoyed yourself. IOA is the g.o.a.t. but Studios is the OG where it all started
It definitely holds its own

Thank you! I appreciate the compliments. Sam can be a little camera-shy, but she’s been getting better.
Bourne Stuntacular its awesome, one of the best shows, for me top 3 jaw dropping show or ride that you have to see.
Bro you the best explainer of rollercoster, usually I get bored but you make it sound interesting
HRR used to have at least 20 songs and a secret menu. Glad it was open for you guys.
Great video! Those rides looked really good! Great to see you and your friend Samantha had a good time!
Thanks Michael!
@@CoasterDash You're very welcome!

we need more Sam on the channel best coaster dash duo
Nah bro I feel like they datin idk....That tho

That would’ve been awesome if we had a park hopper!
I come here for three things: mummy, HHN, and the diagon alley ice cream

If that’s true, i’m disappointed they didn’t wait for B&M to do their thing.
Hollywood Rip Ride Rock It is an underrated coaster, but I got the front row so I understand why some don't like it as much. The Mummy was my favourite ride in the park
I remember going on Gringotts and having no idea it was a rollercoaster of any kind. That tilt track caught me off guard so much!
Love this park but it needs a lot of love.
Absolutely Outstanding
We need more coasters with onboard coaster dash intro music
HRRR still has a secret song menu you can look up online. It’s very hit and miss that it will work though. I got it to work on one car and then didn’t the next.
Universal baby!

That’s what i’m saying 😂
@@CoasterDash they need to add it!

I finally get to ride Revenge of the Mummy for the first time in 13 years
The world would be a safer and more beautiful place if ET was the American President today 😿
Bless you ET
🥰

Transformers has grown off me like crazy. It’s the equivalent of a Disney live-action remake of Spider-Man for me. Fortunately, that ride being overrated is countered by The Simpsons Ride being mad underrated.
Simpsons ride makes me sick as heck. I was ok as a kid though when it was back to the future.
The Simpsons ride is so chaotic😂😂I couldn’t help, but laugh since so many things happen and Bart’s, “You soiled your pants for the last time!”
What camera are you using to film this?
Are you guys going to Islands of Adventure as well?
They have a vlog up already
Our Islands of Adventure video is already up on the channel. Go check it out!

I never understood why the Gringotts elevator takes you to the basement but then you have to walk up two flights of stairs to the coaster, better to just stop two floors earlier 😂
Huh, I didn’t think about that. Very strange 😆
The layout is probably similar to Haunted Mansion, where you go 'underground' to get to the show building behind the mansion facade.
The elevator doesn't actually go anywhere. It's all on the same floor as where you walked in at. You have to walk up the stairs cause the coaster doesn't have a lift hill in it.
i MIGHT be eating a Stanley cup rn. 😼
You need to watch MIB!

Yeah, I had no desire to ride Fast and Furious after everything i’ve heard about it. Would love to see some major investments in this park!
🤣🤣🤣🤣

Unpopular opinion: rip ride rockit is top 50 in the country, better than hulk
It’s legitimately one of the worst large scale coasters I’ve ever ridden. It’s just absolutely terribly designed. Nothing besides the non inverting loop (which also sucks) is even a real element. Just pointless meandering. Has zero forces whatsoever besides jackhammering
Don’t know about top 50, but agree that it’s better and more fun than Hulk.
It's not top 50, but I do love the airtime so I do actually like it better than Hulk!
I don’t agree that it’s top 50 in the country or better than hulk but I will say it’s definitely an overhated ride and it’s pure fun
Agreed
You always put that damn camera on her face....
