  • Selina is a young girl in excruciating pain stemming from a thumb injury. The pain traveled all the way up her arm. She was confined to her room and her arm felt like "it was being cut through with a chainsaw."
She was diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) and sent to a pain management clinic in her hometown of Hamilton, Canada. Doctors there kept trying to medicate her but the medication didn't work and her pain only increased.
Her mom Ivetta searched online and found Dr. Tim Tollestrup, a pain-focused peripheral nerve surgeon, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Watch how Dr. Tollestrup gave Selina her life back.

I had it for 27 years in one leg and was disabled. I walked the day after surgery with Dr.Tollestrup. You will not find anyone better.

See the video I made for him."CRPS Pain Gone After 27 years". Not a cent.

@@sundaysommers1476 In fairness, I can't find anyone else with CRPS who has had the results with Dr Tollestrup you have had.
I have found people with botched surgeries, where Dr Tollestrup has vanished afterward.
      Poof.
I am glad you got your life back. I know what it is like to want to never wake up.
He is performing very difficult surgeries, every day.
I need more proof, not just one person.

Oh dear, years of suffering for a child, that is heartbreaking. I am so happy to hear you found a way for your daughter to get this surgery and end her suffering. I wish her the best. Hopefully this video will be the beginning for others in Canada to get this remarkable surgery. No child should have to go through years of pain. Good work Mom!

I have CRPS along the ulnar nerve (the pinkie finger). I took eight pain pills a day. Sometimes it worked, most of the time not. Now I am withholding most pain meds and it is not easy. I took Lyrica, Palexis, Zaldiar and Adorlan Forte. Soon I will take Lyrica as the pain keeps me in bed.

How much did this cost though

The costs vary but if you have not lived with the pain of CRPS then you would not understand that the cost for a top notch doctor is not an issue. My partner is now pain free after twelve years of hellish suffering and the belittling conduct of other establishment doctors, lawyers and insurers in Minnesota. Our own nerve doctor quietly told us to continue with doctor Tollestrup after he saw the results of Dr. T's most recent repairs to what our doctor had done years before. When we saw our nerve doctor last this fall he was retiring and did not hold back on his contempt for the Medical Insurance/Medical Industrial Complex that he was now leaving. For all the years prior working with him he had been silent about the dysfunction of the American medical systems. America needs a serious chance in how we treat people medically and in general. There is not much respect at present in the USA for the common citizen.

Is there anybody in Canada who can do the surgery?

There are a very small amount of surgeons across the world that are educated and capable of performing peripheral nerve surgery. It’s a fairly new concept, and many physicians do not understand it as it is not taught in medical schools. Dr Tollestrup is a miracle man!

He is one of maybe three in the US with the number growing but the established monied interests don't like mavericks, do they. Dr. Tollestrup treated my spouse and after twelve years of suffering she is almost 100 percent better. No thanks to all those that fought us along the way including doctors, lawyers, insurers and workers comp that still don't want to repay for the cost of the surgery that has saved her life. I believe he is Canadian by the way but studied and works in the U.S.
