  • I shot Cinestill 800t film with my XPan (Fuji tx-1) and 45mm f4 lens in Seoul, South Korea. This was the first time I tried using Cinestill800t during the daytime, and was quite pleased with the results. Also shared some Portra shots at the end. I'm not usually this positive in my own analysis, but this was one of those rare days that I actually liked what I came up with - I hope you will, too.
    Cinestill 800t is a tungsten light balanced film, giving it a colder color cast. It usually is meant for night or, you know, tungsten light environmnets, but I find it also works great during gloomy days, in daylight.

    What do you mean there's no bright lit gas stations to find in Seoul, none of them were open at night? HA...ha...ha Nice dig, all in good fun. BTW... Your videos are just way too beautiful, I get so inspired watching your angels, your colour pallette, and the amazing quality of the rain. I loved it, cheers.

    Did you edited the colours on these? Cause usually cinestill 800t has strong green tones and in your images dominant colour is blue

    I think if it had been a sunny day the colours would have been bad but with the cloud it changed the colour of the light making the colour temperature differential between Day Sunlight & the subdued Cloudy Sunlight more fitting for the 800T.

    Wonderful shots. Did you make any adjustments? Shot my first roll of 800T this summer (yes, gas stations). I took notes as I bracketed the shots and the images I liked the best were the ones a couple of stops over exposed.

      Thanks. Slight adjustments here and there. This film likes overexposure but depends on the subject of course.

    Did you use some external light meter? Or just the in camera one?

    I want to see you shoot with a fujifilm camera! If thats possible! And no edits, just film simulations.

    • @teemu.mp4
      @teemu.mp4  2 роки тому

      I'd love to try a fuji but dont understand the "no editing" thing. It's literally the same as committing to a lightroom preset and then refusing to change it.

    I think the photos are so good, but a film 400 would be better for what you were looking for . Anyway great job. Greetings from Mexico City Mexico 🇲🇽
