I totally have to disagree with you, I think second sight is an awesome song! But then again, I love fast/energetic music and appreciate Lush sprinkling a bit of the punk sound to this song.
Thanks very much for posting this! I have a bunch of Lush live videos but I've never seen this one before. The picture quality is very good (for an audience-recorded Lush live video). The first song is Second Sight, the second one is Thoughtforms.
Is it me, or did Lush sound better LIVE! when they were young? And the below poster is right: this deserves more than five stars. It reminds us of the youthful moments of our lives, and that alone is worth five stars.
saw them on a US tour in Cincinnati when they used on a lot of MIDI sequenced effects, love seeing this earlier style and sound - they seemed to very at home with that crowd even with the crowd surfer guy crawling onto the stage ...so wish they could reunite
The bleach blonde (attempted) crowd surfer is me. The band were quite used to seeing me by that point, I think. Very strange to see this after all this time. Security grabbed me just as I jumped, and I can remember just sort of hanging over the crowd and pleading with him to let me go. He shoved me off to the side, and I bounced my way back in to the mosh. What a ridiculous way to behave. But I loved it and them so much.
You're wrong. At that time (May 1990) they already had a single produced by Guthrie : the "Mad Love" E.P., recorded in December 1989. Robin also produced their cover of "Hey Hey Helen" and the second version of "Scarlet" between February and April 1990. He used to give them tips about effects and amps.

Was the next song "Bitter"?
It seems that Miki said something after the first song that made the audience get angry, but I can't hear it...
Yes, it was.
