There's actually a way to train your monster 4 times a month without rest. It would need alot of money but its doable if done right. There are some guides out there but its been so long so i cant provide a link. It basically involves feeding tablet every month and alternating nuts oil & mint leaf in-between each drills. I had a Gaboo that had 950 life 950 power 600 skill 700 speed 900 def using this method. Thats without combining and state loading to get perfect results from drills.
Definitely. Monsters can get pretty strong when they aren't burnt out to their elder life stage by age 2 and a half. Though money was constantly a problem during Jerma's playthrough. Raising a monster on the cheap, like no errantry, feeding only Fish/Jelly whichever one they liked, light training x3 with mint and rest on the fourth week is enough to make a moneymaker that can camp out at C/B rank tournaments (except official tourneys) and reliably rake in the prize money and sellable junk to fund a real champion.
1:40, I had the same thing happen to me, but instead of jerma it was a TF2 video and I just had the class selection screen stuck on heavy burnt on. It went away after a couple of hours.
