    That was a good review. Another mention you made was about the Rock Tamers and Stone stomper. We tow with a 200 series and always like access to the rear of the car when on the road accessing the 12 volt oven etc. We extended the rear mud flaps and have found the van does not get hit by anything and as you mentioned it is extra weight and work to set the other two up which for us at 350 kg ball weight we don't want more weight.. Thanks again.

    Great review, Adam and Megan! I can definitely agree it's a fantastic van. As you mentioned with the solar , I've added an additional solar panel to give 400w and also added a 250w solar blanket into the mix aswell.
    Offroad ability, kitchen, layout, storage and overall finish are awesome! A nice solid little van!
    Electrics are user friendly and the heater/hot water system is an absolute great bit of gear.
    For the price of the van with the what comes as standard kit, personally, i think it's a cut above the rest...and yes, i did look at other brands.

      Thanks for watching, the extra solar
      You added will make a difference and combined with the portable you mention will be enough to keep you off grid
      Permanently. They are a great allround package that’s for sure.

    Insightful review guys. Really love the look of the angles that go around the whole side wall. Any chance I could get some measurements of the short and wider fold? Possibly the degrees of the wider fold? Thanks Champions! 🤙

    Awesome review, I agree with the electrical system you mentioned. We’re looking a buying in 12 months so hopefully some of these thing you mentioned will be sorted. Will be good to see it on a long trip like the Anne beadell highway but understand it’s not always possible. Keep up the good work.

    Great review guys. I must look up what there options would be without the bunks.
    I like your honesty about the stone stomper, we are still trying to come up with a solution to protect the back of the car without the stone stomper, which makes access to getting things out of the back of your 4WD difficult.
    Keep rolling, love your content. 😊
    Cheers Marg

    Hey Adam and Megan.
    Just started watching your channel and I am really enjoying it. Very informative from two down to earth people with a beautiful family. Just catching up on all of your back catalogue at the moment as my partner and I are looking to travel around Aus in two years or so once my daughter finishes school.
    At the moment we have a camper trailer which works well but I think we would like to upgrade to a hybrid camper. Something capable off-road but reasonably comfortable. How do you rate the current van you have? Would it be too big for two people?
    Cheers
    Shane

      @SmartTouringSystems  Рік тому

      Hi Shane, thanks for watching. The UEV has been great so far and they are bringing in new models similar. In particular there will be a model very similar in size to the UEV-14 but without the bunks, as a couples van. Stay tuned for that.

    Great review guys. Looks like a real good bit of gear. But I'm still thinking that step is a pain. I know the camera never does things justice but the bits of track that step was getting hung up on in your previous videos didn't look that narly to tackle. I more than likely would have tore it off if that was me. Just a thought, but I'd remove it and have a little storage box that sits, or clips in the doorway while you travel, and you pull it or flip it out and set up as the step. Would be more practical I'd think. As it looks like every thing else under there is quite robust...
    Cheers... 👍

    Hi guys, love the reviews on the Conqueror campers and watch all of them. Down to earth details and we'll done.
    I eventually purchased a UEV-14 and drove from Perth on the 5th January to Melbourne to pick it up. Had the upgrade to 600 Ah lithium and changed the Redarc RS2 inverter to the RS3.
    Good to see that some of your suggestions have been taken on by Conqueror as mine had some off them done.
    Eg: Dust suppression system mounted up top now
    Cooktop height lowered which gives a bit more wind protection
    Can you advise me of what pressures you ran your tyres on road?
    What pressures you found best to run the air bags on road?
    Do you know what stud pattern the rims are eg. Toyota or another make as they are 6 stud and the later model Toyota's run 5 stud, I have a 79 dual cab also.
    Keep up the good work.
    Stewart

    • @SmartTouringSystems
      @SmartTouringSystems  10 місяців тому

      Hi Stewart. Congratulations on your new UEV-14. We run the tire pressures on road at around 45psi, the air bags should always be set to travel height not a travel pressure as 2-3psi can make a massive difference to height, as this style airbag is not as sensitive to pressures and relies on capacity of air in them. AS far as the rims go they would be the standard 6 stud hillux/ranger/dmax etc. And yes the 79/200 series have 5 but I think the 300 has gone back to 6. Cheers for watching and safe travels.

    Hey guys, love the channel!
    How did you find the weights in the van? Did you happen to weigh it when it was loaded? Did it have enough payload with full water? Ball weights too? Loving the look on this van! Just want to get some insight into realistic weights. Thanks :)

    • @SmartTouringSystems
      @SmartTouringSystems  11 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for tuning in. No we haven’t weighed it but there have been some people doing it on conqueror forum pages I have seen and the weights looked good. The stated 2250kg tare is actually a true weight with knives forks bowls 2 fridges etc.

    Hey guys, where do you plan on taking the van next? What do you think the limits of the van are in an offroad context in comparsion to a regular offroad camper trailer? Cheers great channel and info

    • @SmartTouringSystems
      @SmartTouringSystems  11 місяців тому

      Thanks for watching. I would say the limit is ramp over angle as although it is a hybrid it's still a big van to take truly off-road. for that there is the UEV-490. stay tuned as we will be getting our hands on one soon!

    • @SmartTouringSystems
      @SmartTouringSystems  7 місяців тому

      Thanks for tuning in. The top bunk is shorter because of the pop top. At around 1.8. The bottom double bed underneath is around 2m long.

    Hi guys, Great video. I just have a few questions.
    I can't see any lights on the outside of the van except the handle. Am i missing something? How's the lighting in the kitchen when you are preparing an evening meal? Wind protection, is it possible to place wind protection walls on the stove?

    • @SmartTouringSystems
      @SmartTouringSystems  8 місяців тому +1

      Hi Raquel. Yes there is plenty of lighting on the side of the van and definitely
      Over the kitchen area. The newer models have the stove area sunken in to create a wind break and lower the cooking area.

    instead of clear window on cavas pockets - just simple velcro and labels!..... or a laminated sheet stuck on there to say what is in each pocket?!
