My betta🐟 seemed bored, and after seeing a friend's tank with a large male betta coexisting with caridinas🦐, I decided to give it a try and added neocaridinas to my betta tank. However, it didn't go without some losses. ☠️
In the end of the video I will show you how went my second ressurection jar attempt, if you didn´t see the first video, click here!

It's the source, right. A little muck, a little leaf, and bring back water with it. Try again!

What a honor! I have never thought you would see one of my videos in such an early phase of my YT channel. You have been a great inspiration for me, as for many others. You made my day and gave me a great motivation to keep trying! Thank you! 🙏🏻

I just loved this video!!! You have a very sweet mannerism and i can see how you love all your fishy families and take very good care of them. I had the sweetest betta named Konane (means "glow like moonlight" in Hawaiian) who would just swim around and hang out with everyone including my neo shrimp (the Fruity Rebels). I introduced him to the tank last after the shrimp and nano fish were established as i read this was the best approach. I miss him and am hoping to find another peaceful betta someday soon 😊. Thank you for your video and i hope you figure out that resurrection jar lol! God bless you!

I tried something similar about 30 years ago. It was that time before any color variants of shrimps came out, and there where only natural bee and tiger shrimp available. I bought both, with the idea of actually using them as live food for bigger fish and also to see if they cleaned the tanks. I had shrimps in basically every tank (I had like 30 tanks back then). I wanted to get rid of all the shrimps in one tank, and thought "lets put a pair of Apistos in there, so they can get fat from live food and then breed". So, I put a pair of A. panduro in there.
What happened? The Apistos surely cleaned the bottom area from any shrimp, and got fat and spawned. But. I had a very big bush of Najas in there too, and the shrimps seemed to grasp that up high was safe. So, I ended up with both well fed Apisto (and fry), plus a colony of shrimps up high in the tank. I might add that the tank was around 50 cms high. How it goes with fish and shrimp together will surely vary if the tank is densely planted and which fish you combine with the shrimps.

I'm doing the same with my tank. Only I've started with shrimp, and am planning on adding the other fish later. Need to wait for my plants to grow more. What was that tool you used to add the shrimp? I've never seen it before. My resurrection jars are also not working and I don't know why? lol

It is basically a glass pipe. Commonly sold in my region, but I could not find it on Amazon. I have no idea how it might be called in english. It is quite handy since you keep your fish/shrimps in water while trasfering. I think it stress them less. If I find it, I will link it here for you :) and regarding the jar, if you figure it out, let me know! :D

I apologize for my comment below. You proved me wrong Your betta is so far removed from the wild caught ones I used to breed. I saw a Female holding eggs tap another female in her temple and it died from the injury.
I can not remove my comment below, I am Sorry

Why would you put them in one by one? Obviously they’ll be eaten.

Don’t worry, they weren’t. I have put them to the planted area, where the betta never goes to. It is half of the tank which is like a jungle.

Hi Richard, there are two things you might be reffering to. Firstly, the music. I am not yet very well educated when it comes to the authors’ right, but UA-cam analyzed it stating author approved used on UA-cam. So from this perspective it should be OK. If I am not getting it, please, let me know.
Secondly, you might be concerned about cruelty regarding animals. I thought I stated that in the video, but I will say it again. My intention was not to feed my betta with shrimps, or give it a pray to hunt. I want my ecosystems to be complex and as close to natural environment as possible. From my perspective is somewhat cruel to keep even bettas in isolation. I got mine from a fishkeeper who kept it with another fish, so he was used to company.
And lastly, unfortunate accidents like not noticing a shrimp in the tubes just happens, and sometimes fish get sick. Even though I do my best to keep my lifestock safe. I am not that kind of person who would just share the successes I had with my tanks. I want to keep things real, and I would love if others could learn from my mistakes.
