My no water change tank failed, and there is a very simple reason why. I always thought the less fish the better, so you don´t end up with too many waste, but it turns out not to be true...
Grow your own AQUARIUM MOSS! 🌱 @FatherFish Resurrection jar attempt
Переглядів 10 тис.5 місяців тому
I tried the resurrection jar again! This time, it was not a complete failure. Father Fish commented on my video and told me to try again, so I did! This time, it does not stink, and I have some very promising results.

Build your dream aquarium!🪸 No water changes, red plants🌹, caridina shrimps🦐, almost zero maintenance!🤩 I would never do this if it required a lot of time and money, but I still want rare and hard to keep species. After many experiments, here is super easy, low maintenance tank for Caridina shrimps and tetras. Try it too! 💖
Nothing Works Against This! 😵🐟

Help me solve this mystery! I have never figured out why both of my bettas died. No cures, no changes I made have helped.😞 Both slowly died no matter what I did 🐟💀
BREAKING ALL THE RULES! 🦐🫣 No water change Caridina build
Переглядів 1,2 тис.8 місяців тому
I built a NO WATER CHANGE tank for Caridinas - the super sensitive shrimps🦐. I added the shrimps right away. None of them died. There is no algae, no oily surface, difficult red plants are growing nicely. I have no CO2 and I do not use fertilizers. What do you think? Will this colapse or not? 🪸 If you enjoy my videos, subscibe to this channel would be fin-tastic! 🐳
Betta🐟 VS shrimps🦐 Will he KILL them?😵

🪸 If you enjoy my videos, subscibe to this channel would be fin-tastic! 🐳 My betta🐟 seemed bored, and after seeing a friend's tank with a large male betta coexisting with caridinas🦐, I decided to give it a try and added neocaridinas to my betta tank. However, it didn't go without some losses. ☠️ In the end of the video I will show you how went my second ressurection jar attempt, if you didn´t s...
I built a beautiful stand & tank 🪸 but it went TERRIBLY WRONG 🙈

🪸 If you enjoy my videos, subscibe to this channel would be fin-tastic! 🐳 I decided to craft an aquarium stand that would showcase the beauty of nature to its fullest. However, despite my best intentions, it seemed like everything that could go wrong did go wrong. 🤷♀️ I decided to get a bit experimental with this project by combining base substrate, aquasoil, and a mix of large lava stones and...

RELAX & watch me clean my tank 🪸

🪸 If you enjoy my videos, subscibe to this channel would be fin-tastic! 🐳 Anything in balance requires minimal maintenance. I do not change water in my tanks, so I just top up the water, and sometimes clean the glass and trim the plants. 🌿 This time, I had to do more maintenance because the summer months brought more algae. So, sit back, enjoy this classical piece from Beethoven, and relax.🌚 🔸🔷...

Shopping, food, kids, work, gym, uh I need to keep going, work, food, family, sleep, wake up, work...STOP. You are killing yourself. Sit back, watch and relax. So little of what is bothering you is really important. I might have something that will help you jump out of your hamsterwheel. This is ecosystem, it works without rushing anywhere and it can teach you the same thing. No water changes, ...
Nice 👍 How did you clean the moss?
I didn’t :D
Did I just hear a tiny snail voice yell out "YEEHA!" ?
😄
You need to follow Father Fish method and you won’t have issues.
Those who are willing find ways, those who are not willing find reasons.
I scapped a new tank & same thing happened. The wood got detached from stone & started floating. So I zip tied it to the same rock. Easiest fix I could think of. 🤔
Thanks for the tip! I will get bag of those so next time I have SOS solution by hand 😄👍🏼
Start with Händel is perfect🎗
Like the video and Bach ❤
Good video..good tekst..good music 👍 Love it ❤
Well done. Let nature do his work ✌
Background music name ?
There are two, both from Edvard Grieg. Morning Mood and In The Hall of Mountain King :)
@@PlantFishPeace thank you. Your very pretty
🤣🤣🤣
I'm going to try that!!!
Question, from wer r u???
Top❤
oh my goodness where did you get those shrimp? they're gorgeous!
I know, right? They are actually home bread. My friend picked out not so well colored crystal reds and eventually they turned this pink. I didn’t see them anywhere else, so I am really affraid I might loose them forever🙈 but fingers crossed they will make it and breed!🤞
I just purchased an aquarium which holds 90 gallons without having any experience and now after watching this video I'm already free falling from the sky ¯\_( ͡👁 ͜ʖ ͡👁)_/¯
Oh wow, I have always wanted such a big tank. Well, it should be way easier to keep bigger tank in a good shape. 😊 It is so easy to disrupt a balance in a small tank.
Thank you! You aready have so many tanks haha. I hope I'll be able to manage it else cleaning up the tank is going to break my backbone easily 😂
Is mola mola fish survive in 2ft aquarium
You mean that thing that can weight up to 2 tons? Definitely worth a shot 😅
I'm new to this hobby (just set up my first planted tank 2 months ago) and today your video appears in my feed. I learnt valuable lessons from watching this (and the previous algae catastrophe), most importantly that I have to test and prepare any wood in a bucket of water first before chucking it into a tank, or.... suffer the consequences. 🥲 Maybe I'll just stick to rocks for now. 😅 Anyway, uh, good luck with that tank, I decided to sub to you too, if that's any consolation. 😂
I am really happy someone can learn from my mistakes. 😄Hope your aquarium will be issue free! :) wood is great, and if you get small piece, it can be easily held in place with stones, so go for it. But it is always good to presoak it. Especially redmoor wood can emit a terrible chemical odour. Thanks for the sub! Appretiate it 🥰
Couldn't tell for sure what kind you tried, but the super glue with filter floss trick only works with liquid super glue. I can very much relate to your pain, thanks for sharing. I wish you the best of luck and blessings!! ❤️
It does work with gel super glue, but it takes way longer to harden. Also it works best when the wood and rocks are dry.
I believe it was a liquid one, but I have tried the gel before and it was even worse. Thank you, likewise 🥰
the trick is to use cotton floss (e.g. part of a demakeup pad or a cigarette filter or…) (not synthetic filter floss) and that the floss is slightly wet. Put everything in place, drip a drop of liquid super glue and you‘ll immediately see it react (white smoke goes up). It gets rock solid within a glimpse. Just keep your eyes away from the smoke (best use protective glasses and of course rubber gloves… ). 😂 And of course it gets way easier when you practice before with 2 two random stones or branches.
Boraras brigittae? I like this fish but could not find it out in my region. I am sick and tired fighting BGA for 2 months. Keeping balance in aquarium is quite hard. Aquarium is lot of fun as well as lot of troubles you may have. I wish you luck with yours one.
Exactly, I got them from a small local seller. They are not available in the classical comercial pet shops usually. I had problems with that one too. A black out therapy kind of helped, but didnt clean it up completely. Have you tried Blue exit? Together with reducing lighting and moving the tank to cooler spot it helped me. Thanks and I wish you luck too!
I’m getting flashbacks to my nightmare tank. I moved 4 times with that tank and each time was a disaster. The honey gourami I had lived 5 years though.
Oh maan. I cannot imagine moving with my 6 tanks, but it will sure come sooner or later 🙈😄 at least the fish liked it 😄
😂
Your tank looks great
Come to Stuttgart, I'll show you my tank.
You have a really good taste for music.
Thank you!
Wonderful organ song
Wonderful organ music. For those who are wondering, the song name is toccata and fugue.
Just the creek alone looks like a dreamscape compared to what I’m used to stumbling on😅
It was really exceptional 🤌🏻
Great video! Look like to work out great!
Thank you!
Ooh! What a fun project! Has that gorgeous little larva turned into a dragonfly yet?
Glad you like it :) No, it died apparently ☹️
@PlantFishPeace aaa! Back into the nitrogen cycle I guess...
Incredible! I'll try this method
Do it, it worked for the first try for me 😊 good luck
@@PlantFishPeace Still I'd like to see the result in a few weeks/months. Can it be a good substitute of java moss? You have free moss, if it grows well, it can be a good hidden spot for shrimps.
@@DarkyXNicolas Hi there, in the next video I will show you. But the results of course depends on the type of moss. So far it is not so dense as java moss.
water Lilly + snails tho, also im loving spider plants these days, snails will clean the oil on the surface as well.
pekna caska hudba a priroda! tvoje videa su velmi pekne, inac zajtra zacinam resurrection jars ala FF tiez ! 9my fish tank is still cycling though... ;(
3:51 I love how you maintained composure despite giggling! Another helpful vid, thank you. I'm still struggling to have a no water change planted tank with neo shrimp and snails. In my African dwarf frog tank I had to move my anubias Nana to 5 different positions in a 15 gal tank before it would stop sprouting hair algae. Everything else in the tank was fine, no algae on 5 other plant species, just that anubias. The lighting and water flow was heavier on one side of the tank, and occasional removal of duckweed would change it more. Finding a long term sweet spot was a chore and has taken about a year, since I tried adjusting water parameters at the same time as lighting to fix the issue. Eventually gave up on water parameters, focusing on lighting seemed to do it.
Yes you are right, the light is key. I check water parameters only when I experiment, start a new tank, or I see there is something wrong with the tank.
I have algae in my tanks, but i am able to keep it under control. Just pick off the thick patches every other week. I don't seem to have issues with overgrowth, though, and the one tank that it is thriving in is still stable, and Salvinia is always reproducing fast. ❤
You need a base layer of soil and nutrients to get you going. I would never use fertiliser and my tanks are growing like crazy. Haven't done a water change and started just over a year ago. Have no hair algae either. Fertiliser is a short term solution
I have hair algae, but I just trim it back 😂, my ghost shrimp, snails and scud love it, even my endlers will pick the microfauna like copepods off of it. I only get hair algae in certain pieces of wood in my tanks, and every other week, I just peel it off the surfaces.
You are right, using liquid ferts is short term solution, I believe I said that in the video. I would not recommend them to use on regular basis if you are not having a high tech tank. thats why I added it just it the begining to help out the plants and than added more lifestock. If tank runs out of nutrients, it seems better to raise lifestock or use substrate fertilizer :) Of course, I have a base layer of soil. This is quite an old tank :)
@@PlantFishPeace yeah I commented half way through the video 😭 👍
how many tanks do you have?
Right now six :)
@@PlantFishPeace it would be nice to see them with a little bit of history about each one ☺️
your channel grew a little!!! YEY!!
join us in the SHOAL. Let's do a collab.
Great, I just did :)
Can't wait to see this!😊
The best wood to usee is soft wood that is breaking down.
Hi from Australia. Such a shame, they were both beautiful bettas. The only suggestion I have is that your guppies were nipping at their fins, this can cause bettas to get fin rot as you know. Even with all the meds, maybe just the stress of the fin nipping and treatments were too much. I’ve kept bettas in community tanks before and I’m stumped as to what else it could be. Did you get them both from the same place? Don’t give up, maybe try a tank just for a betta. Good luck 🇦🇺❤️
Hi there! I got them from different places and kept them alone most of their lifes. The second one lived with shrimps, in the end, as a last try, I have put him to bigger tank together with the guppies. I am thinking of getting localy bred betta. But let´s see 😊
I would have never thought of this!! Awesome video. Subscribed!
Thank you! The moss is still doing well, I’ve just set an aquarium and it still looks cool. 😊
when is the next video?😏
I am working on a new one, but I dont want to rush it. But I am really happy you like my content! Hopefully I will manage to release a new one soon
Very cool, keep up the great work!
I just found your channel love your work

That's basically what my cats say when I'm trying to train them... I'm not that crazy, I follow Jackson Galaxy lol. Love it, is this fellow Henry? Great song choice btw, a nice and fitting change from classical 😅
😂 thanks, happy you like that! Yes, this actually WAS Henry 🙁
Watching snails hitchhike is one of my favorite things about aquariums!
Thank you for sharing this! At least some things are thriving in there 😜 I love what you're doing with your channel, I'm so excited to be distantly include in your journey with closed ecosystem aquariums ❤️😀 I like that the stand is hollow so you can hide cords and such out of sight, but wouldn't it be inaccessible once it's placed against the wall? Or was that not the reason it's 3 sided? In the future, if the title of the vid includes mention of the stand, I'd like to see more of the final product - tank with plants/critters on stand, turn on lighting so we can see the whole shebang in all it's (disastrous?) glory. Does that make sense? I can feel your distress about this tank, it'll be ok, just gotta make some changes and then wait again. Also, I now know that using rain water is more complicated than just putting a bucket outside, so thanks for getting my curiosity going!
Thanks you, so happy you like my videos! Well you are right, it is quite insaccessible 😂😂 it was the first try, so it looks good, but it has its flaws. You can stil get there through the top, but not when the aquarium is there obviously…I have made another type of stands, I might post video about it as well :) I am probably not using rainwater ever again, I bought reverse osmosis and it works well so far. Since I am just toping up the water it is not even expensive 👍🏼😊 thanks you for the encouragement! See you in the next video! 😊
Love that you can laugh at yourself. Imagining the dogs thoughts as he watches you "what r you doing, silly human? Do you want to get wet or not?" My random pond jars always smell wretched, usually starting within 24 hours. But, there's plenty of critter action. Supposedly, we have the states highest fecal content in the local river due to farm run off. You've peaked my interest, perhaps there's a way... Thanks for sharing, excited for future content!
