My husband , John, and I are very excited to find you on UA-cam. We are Mrs. Seator's parents. I remember meeting you when she was moving to a new classroom and you returned to school to help her her even though you had graduated the previous year. Our best to you and Emily and your beautiful family.
Heyo! I was directed to your channel by Crystal Bowersox, of all people (buy her music, folks, she's AMAZING!). I'm just about to start building out a retired ambulance for full-time living. I expect at least a few tips, techniques, and ideas from the schoolie world will apply, so I'm looking forward to soaking in your content, both old and new. 👍
just got a 12 window Thomas built Freightliner from my Fiance' elementary bus Driver for Free.. We are Excited to build it into a tiny home.. Love Watching your videos.. i have picked up some Pointers from you.... hope to see more videos.... PS.. If you are ever coming up to MAINE.. We have space/water, 220 VAC/50 amp
These titles always scare me. However this video was empowering. I'm currently working on a bus and i'm getting a little intimidated. This video made me feel better. Thank you and looking forward to the content!
I get it. Bus life has so many faces. Ours is different than what you usually see online but I wouldn't change it. It's completely changed our life in everyway. Let me know if you have any questions. I'll share whatve I've learned.
Congratulations! Living the dreams!!! Just finally threw in a mattress and moved in our bus last week and finishing on the road because it's been a year now. Not much differentfrom all builds, blood sweat, tears, thieves and vandals have all taken their toll on me, going to get a taste of the dream to keep me going on this journey. I will never give up, but it's a definite toll to do it all alone. So if it kills me, gonna get some miles on my beast, and some smiles on my kiddo.
Dude, I'm so glad you're alive. 😂😂😂 I saw the video where you and your family moved into your bus a while ago and never saw you again. 😕 Glad to see things are going well.
🥳 wow 🤩 So much progress has happened in your life , very glad to see people doing things that keep them inspired , from ur Toyota FJ Cruiser adventures to where you now have a business being creative, thank you for sharing and letting us peek into your life once again 🙏
Freaking awesome!! I’m currently in the process of my build. I wanted to be done in 8 months. I’m just about hit year 2 haha. UA-cam lied to me about how fun, easy and cheap it would be. It’s been none of those things. Ok to be fair is been pretty fun at some points in the build. Happy you are doing what you love and clearly are very good at.
Lol I get it! I had a foolish idea of 3 months in the beginning. I just told a client 4 months. We'll see what happens. Let me know if you have any questions! I'll share what I have
@@BackroadPurpose I’ve actually got quite a few ideas from your videos! My biggest issue now is figuring out how I want to paint the monster. I took out a bunch of windows and put in residential. I believe I’m going to try to make it look like one of the hood Volkswagen hippy vans. Heck 4 months won’t be any big deal now. You are a seasoned pro.
Radical. Glad to help. This new build is going to be bananas. Man, the paint sprayer with oil paint was clutch. So happy on how it turned out. It's not show car but it's classy and simple and super easy to keep clean.
@@BackroadPurpose that’s a solid plan. I’ve debated going with a truck bed liner. Mainly because it will kinda hide some of the blemishes of the bus or maybe the lack of skill I have when painting haha
0:24 you my friend are an awesome young man. Love what you do and hope to start the journey towards the same lifestyle. I’m in St Louis and would love to help out with the new business/gain knowledge and skills. Would there be a best way to reach you?
I have a question for you fine folks I have a mid bus conversion basically converted short bus I was wondering what the laws are for my family being in the back while traveling how's that work and very much appreciated in advance you gotta new subscriber in me
@@BackroadPurpose so put seatbelts in the couch? Or do I need to add some bus seats if that's the case I didn't see any in your conversion lol guess I'm confused but I live in TX IL just black the windows out shouldn't have no reason to be pulled over I don't see the benefit of trying to make a tiny home if I need bus seats reinstalled I have living quarters in it now and done alot of work I would hate to remove a cabinet for a bus seat
Right now I charge hourly and have a pretty good idea on length of time for a build. This next build will take about 5 months for a full build out. calebslife@gmail.com is my contact if you're wanting more details!
Very nice video, I just want to ask from you that please adjust background music much quieter than your speaking voice. Don't setup the background music loud when your are talking in the video 🙏
I appreciate the honesty about the skoolie but hope you can appreciate mine: get rid of the music !!! It's loud and mostly not needed. Really ! 😠. Now keep up the good work. 👍
