Hey girl! I'm going to be living in a suite next semester and I was wondering which hall this was and if all of the halls had the same sized rooms in each suite? Your room seemed pretty big!
samantha s this was in macduff hall! I had my own room so I had a bigger room, normally this would be shared with another person :) and I would say they’re about the same size, although the middle room was my room and It always seemed bigger than the ones next to mine.
there are small mirrors in the bathroom but I’m pretty sure we brought our own full length mirrors! I would def bring like 1-2 because i personally put one in my own room, and one in the common room. hope this helps!! 🤍
chasderadical hello!! thank you so much!! also congrats on committing to oney! microwaves & mini fridges are allowed in dorms. The microwaves can only be a certain wattage & mini fridges can only be a certain height. It will all be on the SUNY oneonta website! they normally have a list/requirements for moving in :) hope this helps!

Elizabeth Shepley they don’t come with a mini fridge/ microwave, you can rent them from the school or buy them yourself! although, I bought my own which was pretty useful instead of shelling out $150+ dollars a year.
Hey, i am transferring to oneonta in the fall. I know at least for this year MacDuff is a transfer building. Im sure if you specifically request the building they will probably put you in. I think the suites are like credit based meaning the more credits you have the more likely you are to get a suite. There are freshman only buildings which i am pretty sure you would be confined to for the first year. I don't know for sure as i was never a freshman here, i will be transferring in as a junior
For rooms that aren't suite or apartment style the bathrooms are not private. Which was super nerve wrecking for me but they really aren't as bad as they seem, everyone is typically super respectful of eachother and i have never run into, or know anyone who has run into an issue. But again i am an incoming transfer student this fall so i have no experence on the oneonta campus. If you are too nervous to use the communial bathrooms it is very likely that there will be gender neutral single stall bathrooms located on each floor of each building.

If you are a transfer student at Oneonta, you are eligible for a suite. Juniors and seniors are also eligible.
