Well now the Reds are shit again. Every Braves game I watch they choke and blow it. The pitching I have seen it shit. I’m a huge Atlanta fan. But the games I watch, I can’t believe they are first.
I was visiting Louisville with my son and decided we would go see the Reds 2 hours away. We got tickets to the right field side near the opposing team bullpen. It was an electric game. Part of baseball history, and I got to share that with my son

braves fan here, but the reds feel like the 2018 braves when Ronald got called up (which ironically happened in cincinnati). they are super fun to watch and elly is a monster. hopefully they can make a deep playoff push before Votto retires, that man deserves a ring more than almost anyone

As a Mariners fan, we had this type of high in 2022 with Julio Rodriguez taking the league by storm & helping the Mariners reach the playoffs for the first time in 21 years. Happy for you Reds fans. De La Cruz is fun to watch.
I’ll rarely ever jump on a player’s bandwagon after 2 weeks, but this guy, Ella De La Cruz, is going to something really special. I’m a Mets fan and good lord I wish the Mets had that right now. I really hope the Reds owner invests in keeping this team around long term. I don’t want them to be a farm system for teams like my Mets. Since it looks like the Mets are going to be out of it this year, I want to see the Reds go far. Give us someone new. Congrats Reds fans. Your team looks like they will be special for at least the next 5 years and if your owner spends money much longer!
Not a Reds fan, but this is great for baseball. This is a blue blood franchise where baseball practically began. Also the home of the greatest lineup I’ve ever seen. I hope this continues because that series against the Braves was electric⚾️

really happy for Reds fans and the young core seems super fun. I don't think that Phil Castellini and Bob Castellini will make a serious long-term commitment so hopefully, they can win when these players are still on rookie contracts. Imagine how good they would be if they still had Luis Castillo as the ace of the rotation.

I’m 73 born in Dayton! Remember Crosley field, Vada Pinson, Frank Robertson and the moon deck in right field! Then riverfront, the big machines house! Rose, Bench, Conception, Morgen and just great teams! Been waiting to see if they can put a team together and keep it together! Elly maybe one in a lifetime hitter, speedster and golden glove. And he just started with the team. Hope they can hang on to him!
They are a year ahead of schedule, with the short rebuild period (a proper one), give props to Nick Krall and rest of the front office and scouting for building this roster to be athletic, versatile and fast. As a fan, I'm glad this team is so much fun to watch right now.

Dude the team was already doing good before Cruz came up. But yes he has made them much better. Along with Votto doing good so far. Steer caught fire at the right time and Fraley has been lights out. Its all around great team ball plus Cruz that's got them rolling

Well, starting pitching usually makes the difference over the long run, and the Reds have nothing to match the Cubs' rotation of Stroman, Steele and Hendricks. And De La Cruz will come back down to Earth eventually and have the typical rookie struggles once the league figures him out.

My dad always told me stories of watching the Big Red Machine when he was a kid. He told me about the 90s World Series when he and my mom were a young married couple. I’ve never seen the Reds even win a playoff series. Dad passed away last year, two months before he was to retire. I have his signed Johnny Bench baseball in my office. I hope this team does something special, but dang, I’d give anything just to watch one more loss with him.

in the post season: as a Reds fan, going 82-80 was well deserved (for now) and I could see the boys running to at least 100-62 (maybe around lets say 92-70)

Our legit starter has arrived! Lefty Andrew Abbott seriously looks like Sandy Koufax 2.0! He Had an ERA of 0.00 after 6+innings of shutout baseball after his 1st 4 games! Last nite against the Brew Crew he left after 7 with a shut out! He only got rocked in one outing so far! When Greene & Lodolo get back in a few weeks from injuries, we should make a serious run in Oct! As a 50+ yr Reds fan, we were just hoping for a .500 or so season after last year’s historic disaster and nobody, and I mean NOBODY saw this coming! Elly coming up in June has took this team into orbit!
The Reds will never be a real playoff threat until they shore up the pitching staff! Maybe the management have not heard good pitching always can win against good hitting! They are very exciting team because they have an awesome offense! But if they don't give more consideration to their defense and pitching, though very exciting they will always come up short in the playoffs!... De la Cruz is definitely one of the Greatest Natural Talents I have ever seen! WHAT A MAGNIFICENT PHENOMENON IN BASEBALL CLEATS!!!... FASTER THAN RICKY HENDERSON!!!... AND BAT SPEED AND A POWERFUL STROKE LIKE BARRY BONDS.
A young core = a team that plays for each other. Even though De La Cruz is the star, he rode A Ball busses with the rest of the young dudes and that creates a bond. The Reds will make a move for a star pitcher when they’re really ready to compete. Similar to the Astros who won multiple rings, the Giants who won 3 in 5 years in the 2010s, mostly homegrown core with some vets brought in to shore up the bullpen and depth. Gonna be great to see De La Cruz in October when stars are made.

Been a life long Reds fan and have a couple buddies who are Rangers and Cardinal fans and so on, but I gotta say everyone of them (even the cards fans) are happy to see this team and what their doing! My bingo card for 2023 didn't include the Reds being in first place and the Cardinals being in last place entering July.
2021 mightve been one of the biggest 2nd half collapses that no one speaks about. Going into AS Break i really had them as a dark horse to really make a run cause that lineup was extremely deep. Not to mention they had one of the easiest 2nd half schedules of the entire league. But they just couldn't put together a solid stretch of baseball and kept losing series to teams they had no business losing to

I'm really impressed with just how much the Reds have turned it around because just a year ago this team had over a 100 losses and record low attendance due their idiotic owners comments & Now this year they've had a resurgence and rattling off all these wins hearkening back to the days of the Big Red Machine
The most heartbreaking part of that San Francisco series was that they won the first two games at San Fran and lost the three in a row at home.
