I wanna know the same thing bc the block braids almost broke my locs off

The Marley hair itself was extremely light, so no it wasn’t that heavy. I made mine extremely long so it had a little weight, but I experienced no breakage! If you were to do this with braiding hair I feel like it’ll be unbearably heavy.

So I washed and parted my hair .... Which sounds small but it wasn't, I had to do it a half at a time. I think I have like 40ish locs, but I have like almost 10 locs that slipped out at the root because of thinness at the roots. But when I had my hair locked at a salon I did after probably a year make my lock smaller so I have them myself so that and bleaching them... I had got some almost From curly proverbs and it's good for thickness, which I did need at the roots so I left it in for a few days. I also used small scrunchies like rubber fans size but not rubber bands

I heard it was bad luck to count, so I don’t know the exact number 😅 but over 100+
