Glad you’re enjoying the books. My dog saw Jack on the TV and jumped up to look and then brought me a toy 😁😂
Hahaha, that's awesome! Dogs can be so much fun!
@@MirandaWatsonArt the sure can.
Such fun books! I do feel reluctant to paint in the books but thats another of those crazy mindset things isnt it. I think you have the right idea - 'i bought the book to use it so I'm going to use it' - exactly!!
It is tempting to get out a new sheet of paper for each one, but I'm resisting this time around!
I imagine the first two books were more expensive to print with the better paper so they printed cheaper with inferior paper and fewer images. Dana Fox did a great job with these books.
I suspect so and yes, these books are pretty amazing.
Great review! The books look excellent. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching. :-)
Love those books. I finished the first one, I’m half way through the second one, and can’t wait to get ‘into the jungle’. The paintings turned out well most of the time.😊
That's awesome, Iade! It's so refreshing to hear from people that actually use their art goodies; I love it!
Thank you, these will be on my wish list! I’m a newbie❤️
These are really fun. The paper isn't the absolute best, but it's still nice to go through the lessons and play.
The books look so nice and like a lot of fun. I love the penguin and the mushrooms. And I am all caught up with your videos so I am super happy. :)
Well, thank you for watching all my videos! That's super-nice to hear that if you miss one, you still want to watch it later. :-) These books are fun; I'm glad I have them.
I just ordered all three yesterday. I almost didn’t get the third but it was only 15 dollars so I went ahead. Can’t wait to try them. I really enjoyed your video.
Oh, yea! I assume you're talking about the Etchr sketchbooks, right?
Very nice. The books look like they're thought out soundly. I know you do a lot already, but I'd really like to see more of these types of videos.
Thanks, George! Book review kinds of videos or what specifically? Just making sure I understand.
@@MirandaWatsonArt Book reviews but also demos.
Okay, thank you. I'll try!
These books are brilliant, especially the ocean one. Very rekaxing to do after a day work. Thanks for the video ad the thorough review. Have a great week.
Sounds like you have one or two? :-D. Thank YOU for watching. "See" you Friday!
I have the first book but now I need the other two! :)
Right? Lol.
I have the first 2. I was thinking of getting the 3rd. Thanks for the review. Love review videos, really helps when deciding on purchases...Thanks for sharing:)
So glad I could help! Thank you for watching. :-) Hopefully I have better luck with the paper on the 3rd book when I do future activities. Fingers crossed!
I didn't know there were three books! I might have to get the first two....the third looks like they have cheaped out on the paper, so I might skip it. Very helpful review!
Thanks, Becky, I'm glad you found it helpful! Yes, the first two are great - and affordable! The last one is the most expensive and the smallest, plus that paper issue... These are really fun books - I highly recommend them.
The last book definitely has different paper but I thought it was better than the other 2, but I bought all 3 in 2023, so maybe the paper is different than when the 1st 2 were 1st released?
Very possible!
Very nice video. I bought the first two and have really enjoyed them. The projects are perfect for those times when I want to paint but don’t feel inspired. I feel like my wet on wet painting has really improved. Haven’t decided if I’m going to get the third one. I’ve heard about the paper quality and book size complaints. I’ve also heard the projects are more advanced which I like, what are your thoughts on that?
Hi Jennifer. I'm sorry I didn't see your comment earlier; UA-cam put it in the Likely Spam section but then didn't say I had anything there. Anyway, the third book is nice if you just want to complete the set, but it's more expensive and half the size. Plus the paper issue. I'd wait to see if the price goes down after it's been out a while.
I got into the ocean this past year and the paper in it was awful :( I gave up after 1/4 of a painting. It was making dark spots and seeping through to the other side.
Oh no, such a bummer. I hope mine doesn't do that. I'd better start using them up!
@@MirandaWatsonArt I hope mine was just a fluke. The illustrations are freaking precious so I suppose I will transfer them to new paper :)
Great books but mandrills are definitely not baboons
Lol, that's what it says in the book. "Also known as baboons." Go figure. :-D
@@MirandaWatsonArt that’s interesting. I did a quick search and they used to be classified as baboons but now are recognized as a separate genus. When I was getting my biology degree some animal species were constantly being reclassified semester to semester. DNA evidence was letting us know what was closely related and what was not. So the author in this case is no longer correct.
@@craftsglidersandthings3395 thank you, good to know!
