Ive watched 50 to 60ish videos from this channel....It has rained in every one of them. You're so happy when you ride, even in the rain. I get ticked off when it starts to rain while riding. Love the positivity and energy during your rides..
Aww thanks for watching so many videos! Haha we’re not blessed with the good weather 😅 I’m just happy to be out riding, although I would prefer no rain!
Any plans to fit mudguards? They really do make a huge difference for minimal extra weight. They don't just keep a lot of the muck and water off you (and you really don't want to be ingesting the stuff you ride through in a farmyard) but you'll get less wear and tear on your components.
I was born & raised in the state of Washington. You be surprised how familiar bike areas are similar to yours. Loved this, bike on you two!! Those sandwiches look great
Best vlog to date this one! I think the variety of terrain gravel offers, such different views of the backcountry, feels like a reet proper adventure! Also comedy amount of trail spam furnishing the bikes and riders 😂
Great ride, one ill be looking to do next week while on holiday and prepping for the Dirty Riever.... @Kyle just made me lol 🤣🤣 Hell of the north to my ears with your moaning... Something id say to my Mrs 😂😂
18:26 Food looks great Amy, you have great talent in the kitchen as well as the bicycle riding. Congratulations on all of your success. Thank you for the sweet nectar ❤
Well done Amy, this video was the push I needed to get back out on the bike. 20 miles of gravel and I was cooked so I’m very impressed! Must get out more and up those miles 💪
I am doing reiver (again) this year on a grevil, so,e bits hat may help: you absolutely need to go tubeless but also I would strongly urge inserts, I have Cushcore and Vitoria in my gravel bikes, pretty ambivalent to brand. Also tyres: you need good sidewall protection, panaracer (who sponsor reiver) gravelking sk may not be fashionable or fast but they do the job, my Grevil came with ,axis, they will do the job, Pirelli’s cin M will be good if the anthracite sidewall option is taken I am using pathfinder prorated this year but strongly suggest stay away from fashionable fast stuff with less resilient sidewalls (read schwalbe)
Epic video Amy wow love the new bike, your improving confidence on the gravel, all three of you slathered in mud a the cafe stop, and of course killing it in the kitchen. Well done mate you are awesome. Keep up the great content, smash those smiles and miles; ding dang done! TTFN back to you girl.
10000000% need to go tubeless for off road riding. I weigh 120kg and not had a pungy in 3 years. It's an great first job to teach yourself how to do as well; Stans sealant, gorilla tape, a valve and a good track pump 🤙
Loverly video. Love the cooking section and think the off bike life gives your channel something special. If can’t be long before your subscriber numbers start to go ballistic. ❤.
Amazing effort, especially after cycling 100 miles the day before👍I've been cycling for over 50 years and I wouldn't have attempted that rocky downhill😂Some of those descents were right in my wheelhouse though, cracking video👍
You need to go tubeless, you will love it 😊 love Kyles black top he had on 👌and them SKS raceblades will definitely fit your bike, I have them on my 700x35 tyres and work like a dream. Cut up some old inner tube or tape to put under the mount points so there don’t rub at your paint 😊
Amy -- it would be more efficient to replace the chainrings on your cranks than to just get a larger cassette (which will probably also necessitate a new chain).
Great video, you got me into cycling and bought my first gravel bike last week. Question for Kyle is the Caddy van big enough for the bikes or do you have to take the front tyre off ? As thinking of getting a caddy for bike and over night camps . Keep up the great work both 👍🏻
Aww that’s lovely to hear, hope you have lots of happy rides! Kyle says I fit both bikes in without taking any wheels off, but when I’m packing extra stuff I take the front wheel off to give me more room. I use straps to secure the bikes to the side of the van inside ☺️
@@amy.cycling.adventures that’s great thank you, and thanks for replying ☺️ Look forward to the future videos, take care to you both of you yipeeeeeeeeeee 😂
Good Evening Amy. I`m a newby to your channel and videos, and just thought I`d leave you a comment to say how much I enjoyed watching the couple of videos I`ve seen this afternoon. I`m just getting back into cycling after being quite poorly for a couple of years after having a cardiac arrest in 2020. I spent the first two months of the 2020 lockdown in hospital, and after first coming home I wasn`t able to walk more than a few yards, let alone ride a bike ! I`m glad to say that I`m now as well as I`m likely to be and I`m able to ride solo and with my wife on our tandem on rides of 40 or so miles. ( Before my illness I was a cycling mad man !!! and once recorded 10,000 miles in a year ! I went for a 28 mile ride on the new years eve to get the 10,000 on my Garmin, then found out the following day that I had misread the challenge I was trying to beat, and only needed to have only done 10,000 km ) Lesson learned, Always read the instructions. Stay safe and happy and keep enjoying your cycling. Steve J. x
Hiya, aww thanks so much for this comment, it's great to hear that you enjoy the channel. I'm so sorry to hear about you being unwell. Glad that you are back riding now, hope you have lots of happy rides both solo and with your wide on the tandem!
@@amy.cycling.adventures Thanks for you`re reply to my comment. I`ve read it through and noticed a typo that most wife`s probably wouldn`t appreciate !!! Enjoy you`re cycling, take care and stay happy. SJ.
