"When people go out of their ways to support me, like watching my videos(...) " your videos are literally one of my highlights and calm time during the week ♡
These are great gifts! I considered a wooden cash register for our littlest this year as well, but opted for a doll stroller instead. Our 5 (soon to be 6) kids each get one gift from us, plus a stocking full of consumable goodies, and a book. This year: Horse riding boots for the pre-teen, A bracelet making kit for the middle sister, lego sets for both boys, and the doll stroller for the toddler. They each choose one sibling to buy for as well.
Just like you're trying to make your home feel cozy and welcoming I feel that cozy and welcomed feeling from you when I am watching your videos .I hope that make sense in a way .
Can't wait to watch the new video with my wife! Also, you should totally add coffee mugs to your merch store. I'd buy one or two! Just putting that out there.. ;)
Wish we could afford that much. Budget is tight this year. We got him a toy for Melissa and Doug and also made him some Montessori cube chairs. Grandparents are getting him some great stuff too.
Children dont need that much at all honey. You are doing amazing, what matters are the memories and not children that dont understand the value of things. WHen i was a child i got one basic toy/book not even because of financial reasons and nowadays at 27 I am much more grateful for the values that my parents passed down to me and my whole childhood i valued and kept every toy I ever got (with bday on the 28.12 i only got one present for bday and xmas too and never cared). Its about how you raise them. Meanwhile, my partner was very spoiled and after a certain age he said he stopped appreciating his things and fancy trips because it was so ordinary for him he wished his parents had focused on certain values instead of toys and fancy trips. ( and he did/does have a very mindful lovely family) Sorry i went on a rant but I've seen so many comments like this on so many xmas videos on youtube lately it makes me said! Plus, Christmas can be made fun in SO MANY WAYS!!!! Lots of love and peace to your family for the new year!
A fun thing to do with old broken crayons is to melt them down and make new ones. My mother did this for us using chocolate molds. It was so fun having animal shaped crayons and she does it now for my kids. Melting them in a can in a water bath on the stove is easiest. Pour it into the mold and set them to the side to harden. Boom, new fun crayons with the ones that get thrown out.
I love seeing your passion for getting gifts and being intentional about gift giving. It makes me excited for next year when my daughter is old enough to really get excited about the things we get her. It's a joy watching you!
I’m so glad it’s not just me that gets giddy with excitement for giving my kid presents! I’m most excited about 1. A thrifted cash register I found a few months ago now, I know she will love because she adores playing shop! And 2. A huge set of Connetix tiles/magnets. She loved building towers with lego and wooden blocks but I think the magnetic element and the see-through/reflective aspects will make these way more interesting and easier for her to play with (she’s not quite two yet). Thanks for sharing! I hope your kids love their gifts!
Love the emphasis on small businesses! My little city is built on them and we’ve lost a lot of amazing long term family owned businesses this year (Ontario) so for Christmas everyone is getting a custom gift basket from me with items from craft brewers, soap shops, plant stores, artists, etc. Everything is small business! Supporting the businesses challenged me this Christmas and now it’s awesome to have such custom gifts for my family and friends and knowing I’m helping another person do exactly the same thing by buying from them!
I think the best toys I'm giving my 4 year old is a wooden table top stove and pots and pans. He loves cooking with me and is forever playing kitchen. My 4 month old is getting sensory balls snd blocks which I can see him loving
Our baby boy is only 1 so we won't be getting him anything except a book but I can't wait until he gets older so we can personalize his gifts more. These were too cute!
Our daughter is 5 weeks old so she won't be aware of Christmas. We still wanted to do something for her first Christmas, so we got her a pair of little handmade leather shoes with little deer on them as her first pair of shoes (that she will hopefully keep forever!).
My second baby is only 10 days old so most of her gifts are things I hand knitted for her, my first daughter (15 months) got alot of books and soft dolls. I think she will be the most excited about q handmade dump truck we found 😌
Tip: You can make your own playdoh. Now, I'm from Sweden and we don't use the cup-measuring system and I'm not sure how to convert it. Best thing about this is that it is safe to eat (although not delicious). Last you can colour it with anything of those things you use in baking (not sure of the english name). 4 dl flour 2 dl salt 3 tbsp oil (Think like regular cooking oil) 2 tbsp citric acid 4-5 dl water (I usually boil it)
This is my little girls first Christmas and she will have just turned 9 months old by Christmas morning. I also love wooden toys and slowly starting to get stuff for her. I am really excited for her to open up the Melissa and Doug 100 wooden block piece set. Truthfully I'll probably enjoy it more than her initially but she loves blocks, hitting blocks together to make noise, and stacking blocks and knocking them down. We also bought some of the typical baby toys like the ring tower and shape sorter in wood.
We got our 15 months old a toy kitchen (and it's already in our living room, he's playing a lot with it) and some wooden vegetables and kitchen tools he will of course open on Christmas day. We also bought him two little wooden puzzles and a board with a sort of labyrinth with animals
Thank you for this! My own daughter is 18, so she's getting a lot more grown up type stuff. lol BUT I have a niece that is a month older than Eloise and her sister is 6 months old, so I did get a lot of inspiration for my nieces. As a tip, for the easel, freezer paper tends to work nicely, and is sometimes cheaper and easier to find. Also for the crayons, making it a project day to break up and melt down the crayons to make "new" ones with the broken ones is so fun! When my daughter was about Eloise's age we did this and she had a blast mixing colors and seeing her new crayons come out of the oven. I love that you are supporting smaller stores and I love that things are wooden (hence not noisy, as I tend to not get things for my nieces that make noise) and more durable. Thank you again!
I get giddy about Christmas too! I got the hearth and hand farm house dollhouse. I got it at a thrift store for $20!! I also bought wooden furniture. I have been fixing it up all month! I love all of your gift ideas. The tool set is amazing.
My 17 month old is getting a children’s Dyson vacuum and a tricycle for his big gifts, he absolutely loves vacuuming and obsessed with anything with wheels
Okay! I bought my 16 month old a toy cleaning trolley! It comes with a small vacuum, mop, broom, pans etc. He is so fascinated by the one at his daycare center that I knew he would be obsessed! I feel less alone now! I felt so weird buying it
I love the gifts you got for the kids. I have got an easel too which is a magnetic board/white board/black board. So my kiddo gets paint and brushes to paint, chalk, magnetic alphabets. Some playdough, fake makeup set as she loves to pretend play. She is same age as Eloise. She also got a sand pit and some toys as she loves to play outside. For the big gift we got a trampoline.
I’ve seen diys where you can take broken crayons and make rainbow crayons. You need silikone baking things. They make good cheap presents for other kids birthdays as well.
We thrifted our 15 month old 2 very special gifts! A rocking horse and a fisher price music box that is modeled after a record player. I cannot wait to see her face when she comes down in the morning and sees the rocking horse! And I know she will love the music box too because she loves our record player.
@@PorterCBlue That’s exactly it, I have 4. It sounds nice to get them 3 things each but I’m reality I end up with six each. Then...I’m overwhelmed! But it the end it’s nice to see their faces light up. Also a good old Toy rotation works wonderfully to keep them interested and to keep the house less cluttered
You've inspired to look for wooden toys for my baby. I got him wooden cars, blocks and fridge magnets. He loves them and i feel like im doing my part to be environmentally friendly
You nailed it. That is a perfectly curated list of gifts. I do love the wooden playdough set that is unavailable. It brings back memories of making playdough for/with my kids when they were little, particularly one Christmas when we made peppermint scented with glitter, vanilla, cinnamon, and pine scented. The whole extended family (even adults) played with it! I've written art advice in your comments before (give them all the paper they'd ever want, skip coloring books, get good materials, etc) because I have an artist of my own - and my 17 year old daughter just got accepted at the art intstitute she really wanted to go to!
I got my 2 boys (5 and 1 month) second hand toys mostly this year from local sellers on facebook market place or ikea toys and amazon for Montessori learning! My older son has really opened up with his imagination after adding things wooden and simple to his life. I'm so happy...and second hand is the cheapest way or diy! We wanted lovevery for the baby but its WAYYY to expensive for us so I'm doing DIYs that are so much cheaper.
Very cute! Just found your channel and I really enjoyed the way your face lit up and you almost became teary in anticipation of your kids enjoyment opening these gifts 😊
We bought my daughter some Bluey minis, a Bluey Playground set and a car for them all. I think she's going to love it so much. We inherited some Peppa Pig minis that we've just gotten so much mileage out of. I can see them all playing on the playground, getting into the car and going on adventures. So excited.
@@Tach905 we used a calculator too, the bigger the better. And once the beeping cash registers appeared, we started beeping the products over the calculator 😅
We're minimalists and I also do Montessori homeschooling with my children. We really value having beautiful toys because It goes back to Scandinavian design principles and that if it's going to be in my house I don't want to have to hide it I just want it to be beautiful.. to go along the lines of your Play-Doh tools We have gotten our children some different textured wooden rolling pins off of Amazon for around $20 and these wooden cookie stamps as well! They love them and they work great! If you're using homemade playdough though I would recommend coating them in wood polish (We just use IKEA cutting board oil sometimes coconut oil)
My girls have the wooden register! Target $1 bins tend to have a zippered pouch filled with felt money from $1-$100 and little wooden coins from 1-25 cents. Came with a lot of money! Great for pretend play and for math skills and money management. Had to cut the bills a bit to size but it’s a great value and appealing to the eye!
the i love you though and though.. i thrifted it before my sweet bean was born and i wrote “mama loves you so much” & it’s so special for me for it to have it and always have it even when he’s grown i always want him to have it. 💓
My little one is only 5 months old so she is getting some practical things.. a shopping cart cover, spring dresses, books, teethers. I love the stage we are at now but I also can’t wait for her to be a little older.
Love your channel and content! I’ve been following for awhile & always excited for new videos! Also it’s cool how you stick to your household style when buying kids presents too!
I’m very excited for my step daughter to get her wooden doll house. She’s been asking for a Barbie dream house for years and they all are so expensive I found in Marshall’s a beautiful wooden cottage with beautiful detail and it’s portable for $30 dollars. She’s going to love it so much. My son I think he’s going to enjoy his ninja bots the most or his dinos he’s so young still he loves anything. ❤️
“He loves throwing things” she says as she holds up a wooden ball!!! 😂😂 Beautiful choices. One of my daughter’s favourite Christmas books is the Canadian 12 days of Christmas of the same line you bought. I’ve had that slow down book in my Amazon trolly forever seeing inside it makes me go and buy it when your done. It looks beautiful.
Having children totally makes Christmas so magical! I have a baby girl, she's only 4 months old- but she loves new toys! I am excited to open presents with her 😊
I wish I could have watched this like a month ago!! I never really thought about how many of my son's toys are plastic :/ his birthday isn't far off though so I'm excited to take more care in picking his toys. Stay safe and thank you for all you share❤️
A local guy made wooden toys from his workshop offcuts and was giving them away and they were so special and sweet. So I got a plane, a truck and a small ring puzzle for my little cousins ^^
We get some Ostheimer animals every year to add to our collection. We have a lot of Grimm's and Grapat, Lanka Kade is good for smaller kids. Smallfoot vehicles too. We've also gotten a bow and arrow set for my 7 year old and tractor with accessories for my 3 year old and a wooden baby gym for the baby. A knot kit and a bird feeder kit for stockings :)
This will be my first Christmas as a mom and I cannot wait. I am most excited to give our Little Guy a Pikler Triangle my dad is helping me build! He loves climbing and I can’t wait to see what he thinks of it. Love your videos, Delilah! They’re my favorite.
Fun!! My five year old - I’m most excited to give him his first REAL tools & tinker board made by his dad to practice with his new tools. I think he will be jacked about an all-terrain RC car as well. My three year old daughter is getting a play washing machine, as well as a Marie kitten (from aristocats) and a thrifted pet carrier. And my one year old is getting a massive steel Tonka dump truck! Every little boy needs one of these - my five year old still plays with his that he got for his first birthday! I love the wooden toys you chose and hope you have a fun Christmas with the kiddos ❤️
Ooh i can't wait to see those two happy faces playing with their new toys in Jan! You guys did good. It's always so hard for us because our kiddos both have birthdays in Nov. So Christmas is usually less than this year...but since it is lockdown we went overboard. My 2 year old guy gets the Melissa & Doug car console and a rocker board. My 18 yo lady has developed an amazing friendship with her aunt and new uncle, and since my in laws just got a gaming system, we will get our daughter one too so they can play together because they miss each other so.
Wooden play swords for my littles and a matching one for my husband! They’ll be engraved with their names!!! I cannot wait to give that! Great stocking stuffer!
I love shopping small business, and local. I also love supporting my favorite UA-camrs! I purchased some of your merch, Delilah, and used your affiliate links for Organic Basics and Function of Beauty 🎄❤️
I feel really relatable to you in this video! You seem very light lately, like your spirit is in a happy place. I love the little wooden work bench. I've always been a big fan of Hape brand wooden toys for my boys! If you haven't heard of them look them up! A little pricey, but my 16 month old is using things I bought for my almost 5 year old when he was a toddler!
We just moved into our first house and I decorated my sons room as a vintage comic book super hero theme. I found a night light that looks like hulks fist is breaking through the wall and he is going to LOVE it!! He’s been hulk for the last two Halloween’s so it’s going to be a hit haha. We also got him a firefighter dress up costume because he has decided he’s going to be a fire fighter when he grows up. And we got him his first set of classic big kid Legos which I’m so excited for!! The best gift of all this year though is from his aunt and uncle who got him a giant Ford power wheels tractor with a working loader on the front. He is absolutely going to lose his mind. I always wanted one as a kid and it’s such a dream come true that he will get one!! I absolutely love getting my son his Christmas presents, it’s so exciting to see him open it!
as a kid my favourite toys were magnatiles and these little wooden food toys that were cut in half and had velcro holding them together so you could cut them
We love kinetic sand!! My 4yo plays with it everyday. It has replaced playdough for us. Never dries out, not bad to clean up either. We also got the Nugget couch, super pumped to get that for the playroom. These look like great gifts, gives me some good ideas for stocking stuffers too. I loved all the wooden gifts you got for Theo and know my boys would love them too, I’ll have to look into those.
My boy will be 16 months old at Christmas. He will get a doll because he loves to tenderly care about his stuffed toys. He also is a huge fan of construction sites and everything related to that. I got him books about cranes and excavators and the matching wooden toys. My husband organised a huge excavator for his sandpit in our yard. My mum will gift him a wooden playkitchen.
Awe I love everything you bought 💛, I’m excited to see my two lil ones open their gifts from Santa. They asked for Mini brands & a Barbie set. 🎅🏻 & I’ve been switching over to wood items too! I’m loving it!!
The Nugget company just opened a new factory a couple months ago, so they are slowly working their way toward being able to provide for the demand. So glad you were able to get one!! (: They are going to love it! I don't even have kids, but I can't wait to get my future kids the nugget lol the 5 kids I nanny build forts out of the couch cushions ALL the time, so I kind of want to get them one! For the triplets and 5 year old I nanny, we got them binoculars. They all love and use them every day! (Yes, I gave them their presents early lol) and my husband and I gave the one year old a bookshelf and books because he is so into reading!
Oh these are great gifts! I wish we could afford some of these. So excited for our daughter to open her gifts on Christmas morning. Still have to decide what to get her
Loved these gifts so excited to watch your Christmas morning vlog/ see them react to these gifts 😁 I got the majority of my toddler and families gifts from Etsy this year ❤️ so excited to see the excitement over these special gifts. 🎁
My mil is getting my boy a flipping car tower! I’m excited for that. This is our first Christmas with our first child and I think we are going to do three gifts (representing the three gifts brought by the wise men) and then a stocking. We are doing our best to purchase wooden and fabric toys, thrifting what we can as well.
I shared a few other gifts, gift ideas, and the nugget on Instagram stories! Come and say hi @loeppkyslife
I haven’t gotten a notification for your last two video’s idk if anyone else is having that issue.

Oh please assemble the easel! Write a message from santa. My mother did that with a big chalkboard in the 80's, it's still in the family!
It looks like so much fun buying gifts for kids, I can't wait until we have babies!
@Meagan Belanger that is so cute!
My girls had the ikea felt food, best part was being able to toss them in the washing machine with an old towel.
I’m 22 and would still be thrilled to receive these 😂❤️

Yes! I'd totally buy a mug too!
I collect coffee mugs and that would be really awesome!!!
Mugs and stickers would be amazing!

They love them and they work great! If you're using homemade playdough though I would recommend coating them in wood polish (We just use IKEA cutting board oil sometimes coconut oil)
Those wooden tool kits and bench look so neat and really well made! Great haul!
you seem like such a great mom, those kids are lucky to have you !!
I've been searching for a wooden playdoh set for a white already. It is amazing! Thank you for so many interesting ideas!!!
Was waiting for this video 🥰🥰🎄Recently watched the last years thrifted Christmas presents videos. I love them❤️
I’m very excited for my step daughter to get her wooden doll house.
I am excited to open presents with her 😊
Same! First Christmas with my five month old daughter is going to be so exciting! Enjoy your holiday with her!
@@watersfakeplants how fun! Enjoy yours aswell- Merry Christmas 🎄🎁❤
I wish I could have watched this like a month ago!! I never really thought about how many of my son's toys are plastic :/ his birthday isn't far off though so I'm excited to take more care in picking his toys. Stay safe and thank you for all you share❤️
YOUR’E MY FAVVVV! I love Eloise and Theo! ❤️ I’ve been biiiinge watching since the very first video 💜💜💜💜 you’ve inspired me SO much!!!! Thank you 🙏🏽
They're going to love all those gifts!! Love all the wooden things 😍
A local guy made wooden toys from his workshop offcuts and was giving them away and they were so special and sweet. So I got a plane, a truck and a small ring puzzle for my little cousins ^^
That's so lovely he does that!
My 14 month old has been introduced to Olaf/Frozen and he loves it! We got him an Olaf doll and I can’t wait to see him get it!
Can't wait to see their faces when they open their presents. I wish I'd seen all the toys you've got for Theo before getting my son's presents.
Wooden play swords for my littles and a matching one for my husband! They’ll be engraved with their names!!! I cannot wait to give that! Great stocking stuffer!
I wish I would thrift but I could never find anything good :( I’m moving to Canada!!!
I love my daughters kinetic sand, it’s really relaxing for adults too and mess free
Lovely video! I can feel you’re excitement through the screen ❤️ I love your family and I’ve always looked up to you 💕
Awe I love everything you bought 💛,
I’m excited to see my two lil ones open their gifts from Santa. They asked for Mini brands & a Barbie set. 🎅🏻
& I’ve been switching over to wood items too! I’m loving it!!
I still just remember falling in love with that pen you gave on Eloise's gift . It's just completely adorable.
And thank you so much for your inspo💗💗
Very very cute 💖 yeh I love Christmas gifts for kids, I got for my one year old: two books because he loves them, and a couple of wooden toys. 🍓🍓🍓
Love that you thrift and shop small when you can ❤️
The Nugget company just opened a new factory a couple months ago, so they are slowly working their way toward being able to provide for the demand.
I would love to get every single one of them for Christmas, and I'm not even a kid :D
That tool set is stunning! Locally handmade gifts are the best in my opinion 💛
Oh these are great gifts! I wish we could afford some of these. So excited for our daughter to open her gifts on Christmas morning. Still have to decide what to get her
Creative kids! They will love everything!!
Kinetic sand is awesome! My nephew loves it.
Loved these gifts so excited to watch your Christmas morning vlog/ see them react to these gifts 😁 I got the majority of my toddler and families gifts from Etsy this year ❤️ so excited to see the excitement over these special gifts. 🎁
There are always the Cushy Couch, Go Coconut or the Nest alternatives to the nugget. All Made in Canada.
Warning!! As a mom to 8 and a women who enjoys nice things like my couch and area rugs dont let them use the slime indoors . Merry Christmas
The kinetic sand is terrible,if it manages to get on the floor, terrible stuff
My mil is getting my boy a flipping car tower! I’m excited for that. This is our first Christmas with our first child and I think we are going to do three gifts (representing the three gifts brought by the wise men) and then a stocking. We are doing our best to purchase wooden and fabric toys, thrifting what we can as well.
This was great. I needed a few more ideas for Christmas and got them here. Thanks for sharing.
Love everything you got the kids. A wooden train set would be awesome to get them as well. My 3 yr old is obsessed with his atm!!
