I went to a wedding where a woman with 6 daughters married a widower with 6 boys. She would take her paycheck and spend 2 days cooking with her mother. Everything was portioned out and set in the freezer. When she came home from work, dinner was on the table in 30 minutes. The man who married her (dairyman) knew what/who he was marrying. Few people know how to manage a freezer. I care for my wife who has Parkinson's. I dont freeze much other than meat and I have to remember to put the frozen in the fridge half to defrost it in 2 days. But my meals are all fresh and ready in 30 minutes...nothing fancy.

Shave off a bit of time by taking the chill off your chopped vegetables before you cook. Take them out of the fridge beforehand so they start at room temp and microwave them for a minute or two before you fry, steam, or roast them.

I cook myself, my advise is best rinse veg & mushroom, also the salmon to remove those potential dirts... I dont use microwave , believe is bad for health consumption.. I will defrost transfer from freezer compartment to normal fridge compartment to defrost before the night...so you can use it next day immediately. also for the rice will go quick cook (some rice cooker do have quick cook button 15mins, which you can start first before do the dishes cooking). it won't take long but still acceptable under 15mins prep. hope it helps Bro

I take the salmon from the freezer and put it into the fridge the night before. I save electricity twice because I don't need the microwave the salmon and the frozen salmon is releasing the store cooling energy back to the fridge.
