- I flew my DJI Mini 4 Pro at the beautiful Côte d’Azur in France for a few days, and I'm happy to share this cinematic drone video with every single one of you!
Beautiful places like Monaco, Nice or Village Eze were chosen for this cinematic DJI Mini 4 Pro video and all in all France offered a very breathtaking scenery. Since I got the DJI Mini 4 Pro for over a week now, I was happy to test it there and to try its cinematic capabilities like slowmotion and the D-Log picture profile!
Unfortunately, the weather was very overcast and foggy over the majority of my trip, but I still captured some beautiful golden hour shots and really cinematic videos of flying my drone through the epic looking clouds above this beautiful church in Eze Village. Note for everyone: to round up my video with clips I couldn't get, I added some stock footage on top of my DJI Mini 4 Pro clips which I hope you like !

You're right there, the quality is amazing, and with the D-Log Profile and a proper colorgrading colors are no issue man 😁

I flew the DJI Mini 2 and now ago 1 month I bought the DJI Mini 4 pro , it IS definitely a game changer! The colors with the D-Log Picture Profile are insane, its really stable even in stronger wind conditions and the quality / sharpness is extremely good, it is definitely worth it if you think about buying this drone!

Beautiful video - did you film in 4K 30???
Yes i filmed everything in 4k 30 fps, and some of these shots were slowed down to 80% in post to give it a more cinematic feeling!

Nice work where do you source your sound? I have the mini 4 pro also. Did you use ND FIlters???
My sounds are from Artlist, and yes I ALWAYS fly with ND filters, mostly ND16-ND32 , sometimes ND64 or even ND128 in the middle of really sunny days

Amazing work! Love my home! I'm thinking of flying my own at some point. How tight is the enforcement for flying the drone over the French Riviera? And where did you take off? Some of those spots you fly are technically restricted especially in Monaco its all red lol
The drone takes very good pictures. I have an Air 2S, but I also want to get a Mini 4 Pro. Very beautiful place and you captured it well. The only thing is that the smoothness of the frame is not adjusted.

I'm being really picky here. But was causes the slight juddering of backgound obects, even with the best Cine Mode slow settings? I've seen this on all channels from pro's. Is it a limtation of the drones capabilities, or is that even with the fastest writing SD cards available, they are still not fast enough?

It's so beautiful! Did you use any nd filters? I just got my Freewell 16 pack mega filter set, one of them is LPR( light pollution reduction) filter for night shooting, I haven't tried them yet because this week is quite rainy here. Do you recommend any LUT which is good? I'm new to colour grading, wish can find a good LUT for my footage, I like your colour, it's not over saturated, looks epic!
Hey there! no I didn't use a ND filter, I bumped up my shutterspeed for all my shots, since it was a calm environment without a lot of movement it was okay not to have one 😁 I think I'll buy them anyway if they are available here in Austria!

For night footage, did you use D-LOG M or night option in the DJI MINI 4 PRO?
The night option - since it will reduce the noise a little bit better than the standard one ✌🏻 you also have an extra setting with noise reduction and I think I also boosted this +1

did you use a program to modify the colors of the video?
Yes , I use Adobe Premiere Pro to colorgrade my videos - there are also actually two videos on how I do that where I walk through step by step 🤠
How do you get you’re footage so crispy
It more or less is the drone, there is no sharpness added in post 😁 and I'm always looking for perfect settings for specific conditions - colorgrading is also a huge part

Hey mate thank you ! 😁 The drone was only allowed to fly 30m above sea level and it also had limitations when flying further away from the beach, close to the beach with a decent height it was possible 🤠

Yeah with the DJI Mini 4 Pro you're limited to 120m , in this video the max heights were about 50-70m 😎

Wonderful pictures, congratulations! Does anyone know how to solve the stuttering seen here over the water, for example? I experienced the same issue with my pictures of the sea.
I think there are many factors which could be the reason, maybe the controller has connection issues, the sd card may write too slow, maybe your hands we're shaking, maybe its just something to deal with the Mini 4 Pro, too bad that we often see this when we're home 😂😂
Is there a problem with flying in a restricted area with a dji drone?
I mean for satellite reconnaissance ?

DJI App won't let you fly in restricted areas anyways, sometimes limited to 30m and sometimes you can't even ascend
Hey, I watched your video, and a few things caught my attention. First off, I really like your shots, and the color correction stood out to me positively. However, in some scenes, I'm shocked by the poor quality :0 So, I'm wondering, what settings did you use for the recordings? At what framerate, and did you use ND filters? For example, at 0:16, the video looks extremely sharp but stutters a lot. Something must have gone wrong there. The same goes for 1:18; the video quality looks disappointingly poor. I recorded a cinematic video with the DJI Mini 4 Pro three weeks ago, and I didn't encounter these issues. That's why I'm so puzzled. Regards, Nico
Thanks for your feedback, I feel you man 😁 first of all, I didnt use any nd filters and most of the shots were filmed with 30 fps , i slowed them down to 24 fps in post, the clips you mention were shot in stronger wind scenarios, and I didn't stabilized any single video at all , maybe it has something to do with that. to the 'poor quality' I guess something went wrong with the youtube compression there, now that you mention it, you're right 😂 thanks anyways for your comment, i like honest people 😁 have a nice day !
@@MarioSchwarzl With which program do you edit? I work in Davinci Resolve, where there is the 'Retime Process > Optical Flow' function. You can use this to fix such effects if you fall below your recorded frame rate. And, of course, ND filters will make a huge difference. I think it's cool that you take the feedback this way! I just noticed it... I used to make these mistakes at the beginning too. In my opinion, if we help each other, everyone can benefit from it. After all, we both want to make our videos as good as possible.

@@TobyFieldhouse If something 'negative' catches my eye or, in the example, does not flow smoothly, that is poor quality for me. One cannot speak of something good when something negative stands out. In this case, I am specifically referring to the shutter.

@@BurEdOKeN there are several places and like its written in the description not all shots are my own and were officially captured from creators and also during corona times, where other laws were actual - and yes altitude limitations everywhere, mostly 30m - so no there is nothing illegal
