I couldn't understand what you were doing there. No healing despite tons of medkits, no use of retribution, a weird turret placement, going into scavenging right in the middle of it, not trying to burn the eggs (burning is "silent"), no use of the flamer to block the xenos path, low use of mines before starting the fight, not even going to the map to look where the onslaught would come from and prepare accordingly... Actually impressed you went so far in nightmare difficulty.
Oh... a hater com ! 🤔🤷 That's a failure, shit happened in that maximum difficulty, especially when you have a queen coming while an onslaught you can't avoid because of eggs is ready at the same point. There was no way to put the turrels on the complete right because of the queen protecting it. Have you at least tried to play until the end of the game in nightmare mod to write something like this ? And I used retribution... For medkits, bad idea as there is none after. In that situation I knew I had to reload my auto save which is the best option when you fail like here. For mines, there are disappointing in this game if you used them a little bit. They don't always explode when aliens pass on it and multiple damages are not very clear. For flamethrower, you're right... I missclicked... 😅 For success you just have to check my other videos. 🙃
@@killerse7ven65 his comment tone is aggressive but most of what he said is valid. by this point in the game you should have a better idea of how to set up a defensive zone to prevent getting rolled up this badly, its just like seeing you are on the verge of an onslaught and falling back to more defensible position to deal with that before pulling double spawns from the onslaught and the queen, who causes additional spawns when it screams after taking damage. you basically spawned two mobs at the same time which would be a hard fight even with the APC right next to you. but yes, mines do glitch out sometimes, especially if you place them right next to a hive exit and when you are too close to their blast radius. mines are an amazing tool but they are far from ideal under a rush of spawns, the command points are better spent on flares, suppressive fire, and using the flamer to control attack angles to drive the aliens into the sentry kill zones. Although i will say that the spawns, even on hard, sometimes spawn crazy fast and you get mobbed for no apparent reason, i think it may be an occasional glitch as well.
You didn't help your case by not healing the Tekker with 2 HP left. She had a busted arm, so she could only use her sidearm. Just asking to be gaped, by not maintaining health when you have the supplies.
I agree but playing in nightmare mod the first try isn't easy. I had not enough cash to buy this gun as I preferred automatic guns to deploy and soldiers specs. I saved all my marines all time. Unfortunately I reached the level 11 but just one day more before the nuclear strike... I had no idea beginning the game that days would miss.
lack of easy ability to move individuals is a very common complaint of this game. moving the entire fireteam at once is the norm but lack of easy control of single marines is annoying, especially later on in game once you can specialize them.

But I liked the way it ended here with two lost signals without noticing it. 😮 But I had to bee careful as I was running out of medic supplies and command tools. This mission had to be finished straight without any extract as I was caught by the atomic clock... I was stuck at the mission 11 because of this godam clock I underestimated during my first run...
You're probably right about the mines. But I knew the queen was coming from the right side. And not enough place and time to move the defences. I was surprised by the hive just behind my troopers. Because there is no med kit anymore after in this level from the game. I uploaded a failure because it represents well how aliens can surprise you. I was surprise to see them leaving from the ground behind me.

But I had too charge my last save.🙃 Impossible to finish a mission with two dead soldiers in Nightmare Mod. And very bad idea for the next missions to do it, because of their experience you lost. I only accepted to loose one soldier in the complete game.

Used your retribution way too late. Also you can drag your flamethrower ability to create a wall that xenos will have to path around.

It's an extra optional mission. Level 10 in nightmare mod. An onslaught is mixed with the queen event. ^^
