Congratulations to the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, our latest WQED Giant Eagle Community Champion. The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy was founded in December 1996 by a group of citizens concerned with the deteriorating conditions of Pittsburgh’s historic city parks. A non-profit organization, the Parks Conservancy works in partnership with the City of Pittsburgh and the Community and is committed to improving the quality of life for the people of Pittsburgh by restoring the park system to excellence. PPC projects and programs are conducted with respect for the environment, historic design, and the needs of our diverse region.
