I agree with the Madoka, but I still love it. I got it unopened for 12k yen. It the face is exactly like Madoka and the hair sculpt is really nice. My biggest gripe would be how she connects to the base, so loose.
love what you said about the connection of the figures!!! i have the same perspective on some of mine, one of my first figures was a rem one. i initially got it because she looked super cute but when i started reading re:zero i ended up hating it which kinda tainted the figure for me... shes still cute tho! :)
Hearing about the date a bullet thing is really unfortunate, She looks alright. As for the popup megumin, mine also broke so I'm in that same boat. I think another regret is my Lancer Pop-up, It's not the best paint quality and the lance is reALLY flimsy, but it is what it is.
The same thing happened to me with my winter Megumin figure too. Luckily I was able to find the hand piece (she was on my pc desk at the time, so it was easy to notice) and I ended up just gluing the hand piece back together. But it's really a bummer I even had to do that in the first place. I still personally like the figure, I think it's cute. I actually really wanted to buy that kimono Madoka for quite some time now, I just usually end up spending elsewhere, but now I think I really will just avoid it.
Really sorry that you've had so many duds. Hopefully you'll have better luck in the future. I've only ever had one figure. It's a Banpresto Satoru Gojo, and I really like the look of him at the price point he was at. Got a deal and actually snagged him completely free.

Also not sure about your complain about the foot peg, here again I preheat and press hard, everything turned out ok, at least for me. However, the finish of the tie is indeed not perfect. Also, a very stupid mistake is the kimono pattern continuity where various parts connect, especially in shoulder area. I paid 13500 yens for it on Amazon japan, so all things considered I don't regret it.
The only figure I regretted buying was a fatalis figure because I paid 300+ bucks for it and I could've gotten it for 100 bucks less on amiami if I waited for it to appear on amiami for a cheaper price

I’m REALLY glad I’m not the only one who thinks that about the Madoka. When I put her into the base, at first it wasn’t connecting quite right and I was worried she’d just topple over. Still pretty worried about that honestly. She leans so much and I’m worried about the longevity of this figure because of that. Also she only really looks good from a very specific angle, looking up at her. Meaning I have to raise her above my other figures, even on the top shelf of my retold, making me more nervous. I was also disappointed that she wasn’t as pink as advertised. All the promo art for her is this vibrant pink classically associated with the character but she comes out more salmon colored to me? I know it seems weird to care about, but that’s like if they made a Sonic figure advertising him as the blue he usually is and then all the figures came out turquoise. :/ I also got her off amiami but she was on sale a for like 15k ¥ I think? I still think she’s beautiful but I wish that it didn’t feel so wobbly whenever I moved her and that they had advertised her with the salmon color she really is so I could make my informed decision. I wanted to display her with my pink magical girls buuut she doesn’t really fit with them so I guess I’ll look for another Madoka Scale instead. (ooh woe is me, guess I must get anoooother Madoka scale, what a difficult hobby this is~ lol) That said, I do really like her face. It’s my first Madoka scale but she feels very big for a 1/7…not sure if that’s a good thing for me yet. In my earlier days of figure collecting I'd usually purchase my figures from import stores in my area... The issue is they'd more than double the prices of the figures so I pretty much just regret all of my uneducated figurine purchases
Initially skipped the date a bullet Kurumi due to PO price but then bought mine from amiami, figure only at 12000+ JPY after it released inclusive of shipping. Think without shipping was 9000+ JPY which is a steal, so bought it without hesitation

FREEing 1/4 Saber first ascension because soon after there was a 2nd ascension that is, IMO, better. But already ordered so... Also the difference is kinda marginal. But if I had known, I'd have waited. My Nero caster, sort of. I don't like the character or figure, but I needed a caster. There is still yet to be a caster I like so for now... To clarify about needing a caster, I have all regular class, most of the extra class and do plan to get all the extra class when and if appropriate figure releases. I really do like Fate. I'm not sure whether buying a figure at a significant markup in the after market only to have it released later should count. I think I've two of those. There are also figures that I don't like much but I like the character of. Those tend to be the best figure of the character I can find so... there is lack of alternative. Like my Saeko Busujima is pretty underwhelming, but there is really no others. I don't think it quite count as regret persay, but I am unsatisfied. I have 11+1(dup)+3(ordered) Kurumi, I do not regret any of them. I am annoyed about the dup, I had to buy a second one because there is color transfer issue on the red velvet base onto the thigh, so I bought another one(and left the base in the box this time). One of them is a limited edition with the JP third season blu ray. there are alternate color versions of that figure standalone but I did, in fact, want the set. I am unsatisfied with the price of the 1/2.5 scale, as it is IMO overpriced, but I don't regret ordering it, just am not happy about the price. She is the singular character I spent the most on, about 4 grand on figure and another 3 grand on weiss schwarz cards--I got a box set of each of the sets and some extra. I don't even play the game, it was all for Kurumi. I considered your Kurumi too, I had to actively stop myself from buying too many that doesn't offer anything special and I'm looking at like 3 Zafkiel types including the eStream so... That said, in retrospect, I would have liked an upgrade, if you will, to my Mayuri Judgement, yours being one of the options, the other being good smile Zafkiel. But I really shouldn't spend more on Kurumi(I'm saying this mere a week after buying the 3rd weiss schwarz set so not quite convincing statement) Kurumi is one of my favorite characters. The others of my favorite are... less merchandized. One of which have no real figure at all. Or I probably will have at least half a dozen, possibly a dozen, of each.
@@Ararawgi The other gacha game franchise, like Arknights, Girls Front Line and Azure Lane also have some amazing offerings. Genshin is also starting to put them out but aren't quite at the same level. For your sanity, wallet and time, I'd say you can only really focus on one or at most two. I've already made my choice, but it doesn't seem like you have so you can still shop around and pick. Fate, perhaps being a wider franchise beyond the one gacha game, have a bigger range of figures that are a mix of normal and amazing. The others have fewer figures but lean toward mostly amazing ones with few plain ones (though for some amazing figures, there are more basic looking, cut down versions) One thing to note is that barring Fate, the others do not have a complete catalogue on MFC, because they are not of Japanese origin, so only the Japanese made figures are listed. You will have to check manufacture site like Myethos and APEX as well as assorted forums, shop backlog etc to gauge the full range of their offerings. P.S. I'm already 4/5 with the Madoka PUPs~ The Megumin PUP is problematic because her staff is heavy and lacks support. Seen many cases of bending over time. The Amakuni Kasumi looks much better than the Lucrea one imo,,
