I think Lincolns views on the races was pretty typical before the 1950s. They didn’t believe in slavery but they also didn’t believe in equality. It doesn’t make sense these days but that’s what they thought. Anyway Lincoln’s nationalistic view is the biggest cause of the war

@@trecide They needed to take Ft Sumter back. Lincoln wanted his revenue. It wasn't over slavery. Only 4 out of 11 states even mentioned slavery.
