Great channel, fantastic website/bookstore. Those of us who don't believe anything the government sells us appreciate the true history of this war. It was not about slavery, otherwise, they would have started with the governor of Maine, who had 62 slaves, and work their way down. Being a northerner I was sold a bill of goods. Reading " The Life of Abraham Lincoln" you have really opened my eyes to this mentally unstable, frail, over hyped little man.

That’s a subject I haven’t done much research on. Although I have heard that Jefferson Davis could have been a closeted catholic. Between Maryland and Louisiana, there were Catholics in the Confederacy for sure.

@@confederateshop The civil war was not entirely the Good North Vs Evil South(You are right in that). People of the North were equally racist as their Southern counterpart, and the Union did initially mobilized against the South to protect the Union rather than the abolishing Slavery, but that doesn't change the fact that the SOLE reason the CSA was created was to protect and expand the institution of slavery, which single-handedly makes the entire Southern cause for independence EVIL.There's no way you can romanticize that FACT.

Get outta here with that righteous cause nonsense. There were a variety of reasons for secession--not simply the ones mentioned in a FEW of the ordinances. Had they wanted to preserve the institution indefinitely all they would have needed to do was simply re-join the union. The Corwin Amendment would have protected slavery within the U.S. Constitution--was passed by both the House and Senate, supported by Lincoln and the majority of Northern states. Considering this historical fact, if they were dead set on "preserving the institution of slavery"--this would have been the best way. Yet, they didn't rejoin. I wonder why...

" I have never heard of or know anyone who flies the Confederate flag who wants to destroy the United States. However, there several organizations today who do want to destroy or change radically the U.S. as we know it. Examples are B.L.M., Hamas supporters who display Palastinian flags, and even LGBTQ groups. Why don't you criticize them you, super patriots?" I have yet to get a response from these haters. Well said there..The Confederate Flag is just as part of America and history as the American Flag is..The Civil War involved all kinds of people and no flag should be held against or accountable for any results or actions that's happened..My opinion the Civil War wouldn't have happened and so many on both sides dying if not pushed by Lincoln, Grant and Sherman.. when all was said and done.. everyone looked around in disbelief at the damage and death count, Union and Confederate sides and then wondered why..why did we do this to each other, our brothers, fathers, friends and neighbors..the flag, statues and any monuments should be held in recognition and honored.. not some chosen and others disrespected disregarded.. all of it is the history of America.. I enjoyed ur video.. from South Carolina
