I spent three years avoiding the dead. Now they’re coming after me.
When a handsome detective showed up at my tarot shop talking about zombies, I nearly threw him out. Nobody is powerful enough to raise the dead, except me and my uncle, and that’s a secret I plan on taking to the grave. Sure, as a Scythe, I can open literal portals between heaven and hell, but it’s the extra abilities I’m afraid of. Powers no low-class witch should possess. I’ve been hiding out reading tea leaves rather than attracting unwanted attention from supernatural rivals.
But when the zombies make it personal, and someone sends demons to kill me, I know this is a fight I can no longer avoid. Besides the annoyingly handsome ghost who wants me to solve his murder, the charismatic wolf shifter who I used to date before things got too serious, and the mysterious enemy hiding in the shadows, there’s also the demons I grew up with and the local police who know I’ve got more abilities than my permit allows. I might be able to prevent a zombie apocalypse, but not without revealing myself, which would mean either languishing in a jail cell or returning to the role in Hell I’d do anything to avoid.
Even worse, I’m actually starting to care about a few of my new cohorts, which makes things more complicated if one of us ends up dead.

Artificial narrators are getting better and better but it still cracks me up here and there with the weird inflections and incorrect pronunciations here and there 😝
yeah it's super weird; I can edit them out to make it perfect but it's hard to find them all

@@FreeFantasyAudioBooks I did go to the kindle links, I was surprised no Audible wasn't available. This Ai narrator is Way better than Many real narrators i've heard, several of the bad ones were the author themselves. I really love the above cover art, is there anywhere I can download it?

@@kit888 can you clarify that? in the video file or something? I've only seen how to manually add in the times (or you mean in the comments, I can just type the times like above and it'll automatically refer to this video?)
Yes, any hh:mm:ss in the comments or video description becomes a clickable link to the video
there is a way to put little spaces on the time bar in the video to delineate the chapters as well, but I haven't uploaded anything that needs those so I have no idea how.

Number one is Reaper Which 1 & 2, best narrator to 😊
Two and three are Vampire Deception and absolutely Orfheum ❤ and its the reading that puts Vamp slightly before Orpheum

The storyline is entertaining, but the commercials every two minutes (I timed it) makes it difficult to stay engaged.

Just started. Looking forward to listening after reading review, so many author adding porn to Syfy/ fantasy and leaving out fantasy creation
ha these are YA so light on porn, just lots of swearing. I think I only have a couple light romance scenes in all my books.

I didn't enjoy this book at all.... smelly zombies sneak up on wolves and kill at least one of them....really!!! So called badass supernaturals surrounded by slow moving zombies wtf!!! All those responders trapped by 100 zombies at the beach really pathetic really really pathetic audiobook. It had potential but just got ridiculously stupid.
I couldn’t disagree with you more. I find it so strange that people have such wide diversity of opinions. Two people see the same thing, one loves it the other hates it, where does that come from?
Good story, but I feel like I missed a book with all that I don't know about the main characters backstory and her powers

Sorry for misspellings, I used text to talk while driving. Long commute everyday, so I got into audio books instead of rotating the knob. Keep em coming, my drives end too quickly.

What happened at the end of 13/start of 14??????? Story line skip??????
sorry I think it's just a rough transition:
“You wouldn’t dare,” he says, stepping forward in challenge. Angels have no place in Hell, for pretty obvious reasons." They're pinned down and start fighting; next chapter, "We've got to get you out of here" ignores that brewing conflict because they need an escape plan.

*LANGUAGE WARNING* for youth and those, like me, that prefer clean books. I came looking for a warning so I gave this a chance. I chose this as what I would listen to as I sleep. I am a VERY light sleeper and could hear so many cusswords, very often and all of them! The story interested me, so for those that cuss will likely enjoy this book.

I'm really grateful for the books here because I can always find a healthier script. Facebook gets all the toxic stories with grafic description of toxic relationships, beating, rape, toxic parents and partner. I refuse to read books of that nature.I am a very visual reader, and i dont want to put that negativity in my head.
Yes. There are certain words that wake me up, too. Like my name, or "dad..." #2 Like in the song, " The Sound of Silence", when the Avenging Angel strides down cobbled stone ways of bombed out Gazan homes in the murky, dismal, smokey haZe. Silently Cursing, "CHILDREN!!?? WTF!? GDAMN THEM ALL!!" AS HIS TEARS, SILENTLY CRASH down, ON THE BURNING WALL.....💙💜🌎💖💕✨️ God bless the Women and CHILDREN.
