I am thinking of buying a used d3100 camera. I want to know if it is possible to get a video output from this camera through an hdmi cable? Do it like Zoom class. If anyone knows, please help. Clarity is good in this. ?
The only way to get a clean output is to do as explained in this video. The camera is good, but the problem is it will turn off after 30 seconds. There is a trick that consists in having the shutter button pressed halfway to keep the camera on ( ua-cam.com/video/jUrPd4b22Y4/v-deo.html ), but it is not so effective since the camera heats up. In summary, I'd go with a camera that already has a clear view and does not turn off after a few seconds.
When I press normal video recording with the capture card, I get images in the obs. Does it turn off after a limited time or does the video stream continue until I stop recording?
It does, because the camera live display has a timer. We developed this product to lock the screen so it does not turn off: xlnteesstore.etsy.com/ca/listing/1511005519/dslr-cable-to-keep-live-view-on
@@TreciaThompson Better late than never : Go to Menu -> Shooting menu (2nd menu) --> AF-area mode --> Live/video view -> Normal Zone AF (I'm not using the device in english, so the translation may not be exact). This will reduce the rectangle size, and you can move it at the bottom of the screen as explained in the video. After doing this, you may need to adjust the focus, using manual mode. To do this, select M on the A-M button of Lens, and rotate the camera lens focus ring. Done
Camera live view is max 5 mins. With the shutter button half pressed (video showing how to do that on the description), it will keep it open as long as it is still half pressed.
It depends. If you want something quick and have a c920, go with the 920. The advantage of the DSLR is that you can get a better view if you want to show an object that you want to highlight and detach from the background.
If you go to min 2:20 on the video you'll see how to set it to 5 mins max. Keeping shutter button half pressed will keep it open as long as it is still pressed (link with the video showing how to do that on the description)
You can, but since D3000 does not have HDMI out, you will have to use this converter instead: amzn.to/3JhEKTV (+ the mini usb to rca that comes with the camera)
Never tried on discord, but the process will be the same until minute 7:13. After that, you just go to "Video Settings" on Discord and choose "OBS Virtual Camera".
wish you would talk throught what you are doing
Will improve on the next video 👍

Hey I have the nikon d3100 and I can’t get the red box to go away
Can you use the up and down arrow to move the red square?
@@f5techservices yea but it won’t go off screen
@@zetsuwu You have to crop the image on OBS. Follow the instructions of step 8 ( 4:28 of this video )
i get the nikon d3300 software incon error message on obs screen , why is that?
D3300 might be slightly different then D3100. What error does it show?
My friend, how can i remove the red/green focus box at the middle of the screen?
Use the down arrow (under OK button) to move it all the way down.
@@f5techservices Hi, how can I reduce the size of this red/green box? My box is much bigger.
@@MrAskaban100 On manual mode you can change de size :D

Awesome video tnx!
what if i only have a micro USB cable?
It won’t work. You will need the hdmi (mini hdmi) cable.
can i just use mini usb cable for the hardware instead of using HDMI to mini HDMI and the video capture card?
You can’t. Mini usb will only transfer energy or data, not live video. You can only get the video out of the camera through the hdmi.
does the camera still work ok after some use?
Yes, everything works normal.
how about the audio if we record the video? why i cant hear the audio..do you know why?
The audio would go through your computer mic. Check 08:30 on this video, where it says MICROPHONE, you select your PC's microphone.
hello, what is the time that the live view can be extended doing what is seen in the video?
You need to keep the shutter button semi pressed constantly. You can do this with just a rubber band hanging over it. Then live view is constant

@@f5techservices I want to use the camera to stream, so that's my question whether the camera will turn off because of live view

thank you for this! what about the output resolution, does it worth the hassle - compared with a c920?

Can you please make a viedeo to tell me why my NIKON after 30 sekonds in the viewfinder mode goes ?

@GiPicsLP how to block
@GiPicsLP what did you do for battery?
How do you move the red square with arrow down? (Step 11)
Down arrow on your Nikon
do you need battery on the camera? or it will charged when connected to PC?
Yes you need baterry
You do. You can use this battery that connects to the outlet, so you don't have to recharge it: amzn.to/3XsM5Eb
hello ! can you tell me what is the video capture card on amazon ? ty mate !
This one will work amzn.to/3NfdkfA

Unfortunately not. You need an HDMI to USB device to transfer video from your camera to your PC/Laptop.

If you have a nikon d3400 so why you put d3100 in title and thumbnail
You might be confused because it is a Nikon D3100 (both title and thumbnail).
