@Ajit Virkud Hello Sir, I wa going through your presentation and it was very much informative. My mother currently is going through the treatment as well. As part of the procedure total laparoscopic hysterectomy + bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy with sentinel lymph node biopsy + bilateral pelvic lymph node dissection was done for my mother(52 years old). In sentinel lymph node biopsy for the right side One out of three lymph nodes showed metastatic carcinoma. In right pelvic lymph node, 10 nodes were taken and all were negative for micro/macro metastasis. In left pelvis 7 nodes were taken and all were negative for micro/macro metastasis. TNM staging is pt1b n1a. As part of the treatment doctors have suggested for chemotherapy followed by radiation therapy. For chemotherapy carboplatin(600 mg) + Paclitaxel(280 mg) has been asked to give per cycle for 4 cycles followed by radiation therapy. After this treatment, as mentioned by you it will have side effects, but does this increase chance of survival from cancer or recurrence and any chance is there for cure?
I.have fluid in my endometrial canal with bleeding that is intermittent..the bleeding is only once in awhile ..pelvic pain and just clear discharge ,,,im following up with my ob/gyn ,,,and also GI for egd and colonoscopy because of my destended abdomen and pelvic pain ..I want to catch this early what ever it is..I’m menopausal..56 years old and live in the us ,,
I had stage 3C with positive lymph nodes .( 2) .....nothing outside the pelvis....chemo did not help....it recurred at 2.5 years....in lungs , pelvis ....carboplatin cleared lungs completely....not vaginal cuff .....starting radiation....i have type 2 ...no estrogen no progesterone receptors.....would progesterone possibly benefit me ? I heard 20% of women still respond to it even with no receptors ..
True. A small percentage would benefit. Worth trying. But in your country, you will have to follow what your oncologist says (as per the guidelines on treatment as per your country).
