My dad had a fully loaded titanium estate in red. Best car ever. Over 50mpg and incredibly massive. I still see it drivng around looking bwtter than ever
I love the unbiased and very fair review of a car that people ignore, disparage and overlook which I find absurd. Firstly, it's a great looking car, quite rare now and is reliable enough to stand comparison with all other rivals on the used forecourt in my opinion. So sad that Ford have pulled the Mondeo and the Fiesta recently. My 2015 Mondeo Titanium 180 diesel with a lowly 42K on the clock isn't the last word in performance but it's big, safe, comfortable and fun enough in sport mode in the twisty stuff - for me at least. It happens to be the 5th Mondeo I've owned. A coupe of observations if i may: The auto-dimming sensor in my car is Mondeo is brilliant, reacting to headlights coming towards the car, tail lights of cars ahead of me and even dips the main beam when street lights illuminate the road ahead. The XJ Jag I drove recently had a pathetic auto-dimming sensor which you had to over-ride all the time. Also I'm not a fan of the Sync 2 infotainment screen in my car - somewhat unresponsive when finger prodded with fiddly icons and just not that intuitive but in its defense it is a decade old in design. !! Great review - keep up the good work - Subscribed....
How's the 8 speed auto gearbox? We all know the powershift was basically a disaster, but what about this new one? Couldn't find much info online wbout reliability, but I hope it's at least somewhat more reliable, since it's a more traditional auto...
@@car_babble ah it’s more than capable, I just had the auto box serviced and it’s had the chain/belt (can’t remember which) replaced along with the water pump. Serviced regularly for the past 4 years of my ownership, not sure before then but it’s driving like a brand new car tbf so I reckon it’ll do another 100,000 fairly easily
My 2016 Mondeo 2.0 TDCI still goes almost like new with 249 000 km. These cars run great, but I gotta say, I did service it almost more than enough, oil change every 10 000 km and tranny oil before 60 000. Just got the 2020 Ecoblue ST-Line saloon last week with 38 000 km and I hope this one will at least be good as the old one.

Thanks for the comment. Assumed more than 40 mpg was well achievable!

Thanks so much for the detailed comment. Sounds like you've had a lot of love from Mondeo's.
No nonsense review many thanks!
Cheers mate!
Good video - shame it's RIP Mondeo! 😞
Thanks Disco Dave!

A whole since I drove it but thought it was a pretty good gearbox. It's no ZF but went about it's business fine at speed but a bit jerky lower down.
Great review of a car suitable to the majority of the general public..... Cheers.
Thanks very much!
Great job 👏.
Tell me, between this one and skoda suberb 2.0 190hp, which is best choice?
Thank you! I'd probably go for the Superb but only as the boot is bigger and it just feels a bit more current.
@@car_babble fukc the boot space. As a drive experience i m talking. Which one is better?

@@Astrapogiannosthe Mondeo, hands down!
Not a fan of Fords but seems like a good option
Really cool.
Thanks!
First car I got 6 points in 😅
🤣
I have a 2016 Ford Galaxy with 188,000km on it. I’m hoping to get another 100,000 out of it. Long live diesel.
All the best with that mate! 😃

@@mynameismarko7 I’ve put another 11,000km on mine and it hasn’t missed a beat. I’m going to keep it for another few years yet.
Such a shame the facelift came with Ecoblue engines. If you want a Mondeo, make sure it has the old TDCI engine and go for a manual NOT a Powershift.
Still a good car but agree!
I don't really think you can review a Mondeo right! You are way of with this in several things. You should stick with the Mazda or try again.
Lol the classic negative comment with zero substance to back it up. Clarify your points or go away.
U talk too much....
Channel has literally got the word 'Babble' in the title.
