I am a 43 year old man, father and husband. My advice to young people in their 20s is don't feel guilty for buying your car in your early work like. You don't have to buy a luxury/ flashy car but a reliable functional car . Don't let real estate sales person or banker make you feel guilty. There are a number of decent paying jobs that require you to be " mobile ". You are paid motor vehicle upkeep and gas allowance. A vehicle is very important if it's going to enable you to earn your bread and butter. The same job that will enable you to save your downpayment on your first home. If you have a young family you also need to be mobile. The public transportation system is Jamaica is not desirable anyways. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲

It can't be a joke if people are buying. Real estate prices like any other business is driven by demand and supply. Obviously, there are people buying the ridiculously priced homes.

Get the home valuated. If there is no mortgage on it... great . However, even if there is a mortgage , minus the outstanding mortgage balance from what the home is currently valued. That is called the EQUITY in your home. Use the EQUITY as a collateral and apply for a Home Equity Line of Credit. Use this HELOC to renovate / modernize the home . This will positively impact the future value of the home. St.Andrew , St.James to St. Mary along the North and Mandeville are desirable places to own real estate.
HAJ requires 10% deposit on some of their properties. Is that legal?
Hi Kalilah! Hope you are well! Question please: as the buyer, am I responsible for the 6% for the real estate agent/agency? I thought the seller is responsible for that portion of the sale. Can you please confirm?
The 6% is factored in the sales price of the property. That Commission is taken from the sales price. You the buyer just need to qualify for the mortgage or buy outright.

I think overseas Jamaicans are in a better position to buy up Jamaica; the locals are at a disadvantage. Compared to Canada , Jamaican real estate is dirt cheap …..
Jamaican real estate is too expensive for the locals but for overseas Jamaicans, real estate here is a steal . I picked up a beautiful property in Jamaica with rental units attached for about $15 million ($150,000 CANADIAN).

REMEMBER, & i do hope the young school children especially the female students, YES. The females Students later on in life it will be the the young females, & less percentage of male, that will take this with them in life, & also to apply, & help them in what they may sound like within THEIR CAREERS as a NEWS ANCHOR, SOME TYPE OF PRESIDENTIAL, OR ASSISTANT PRESIDENTIAL SPEAKER, IN POLITICS. The cherr, or the THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE. A JUDGE. A LAWYER. OR A PUBLIC DEFENDER. I DON'T KNOW IF THEY HAVE PUBLIC DEFENDER in courts in Jamaica OR EVEN ABROAD. or someone who is a MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER. Buy watching you. When i used to live in places/states like NEW YORK. FLORIDA, & in the MIDWEST like in Ohio. CLEVELAND. COLUMBUS, DAYTON OHIO. My wonderful job at the time that i last spent over 20 years in would have me working in these wonderful places in those beautiful States. I used to be around kids/children, & up where they would tell me that the teacher would take a page out of the NEWSPAPER, & POINT OUT, & ASSUME SOMEONE would be interested. Or draw them to be interested in reading a small story from the newspaper in class. If not they the teacher would go to the day before NEWS, that they would WATCH a SEGMENT of which ever it may be FINANCIAL. POLITICS. LIVING. NOT NECESSARY CHRISTIANITY BUT SOMETHING CLOSE TO IT IN GENERAL. ALSO WEATHER BECAUSE IT'S IMPORTANT TO KNOW HOW YOU GOING TO DRESS FOR THAT DAY. Then maybe they are also watching you, & listening to you, & admiring you, & taking in everything that you're saying if not everything a part of what you're saying, & remembering you. & they will also remember how that lady that says MADDA lol😅lol😂lol🤣lol. instead of MOTHER. but let's say MOTHER. I used to live in Benbow Saint Catherine between 1979, & 1989 with my grandmother. No i am not Jamaican. But my mother was. R.I.P to her. I really don't know her much.
