Why would you ask a man who's career, wealth and reputation depends on vaccines being "unquestionably safe" about a possible link between vaccines and autism? It's a bit like asking Boeing about was there any problems with their planes recently.
If you can sit there and tell the world vaccines do not cause autism, there is no reason you cannot tell us exactly what does cause autism. If you're so sure of your answer, then give the families closure as to the cause. If you can't give this answer, why should we believe your previous answer? These families deserve more than you're bringing to the table.
RFK JR has said publicly that he will debate or speak with anyone, and that if he is wrong about any of his views or studies he has referenced then his views will evolve with updated information and understanding. If this is indeed such a slam dunk issue then Dr. Offit owes it to the country, even the world, to have a public discussion with RFK JR on these points so that these dangerous myths of possible links between autism and childhood vaccinations can be dispelled! I'm not holding my breath though, it seems the status quo is to speak in absolutes and ridicule anyone who has questions regarding the "settled science".
