I am always left thinking of the channel I came across how many years ago? Of a lovely lady who sat in her car in the middle of the night waiting for her content to download. Dedicated, determined ,hardworking and always with a smile on her face. How through the pandemic and the struggles it brought us all you have brought so much joy. So I became a patron. Though we are 60 something’s I’ve pretty much convinced my husband we should have a small château ….but at our age are we up for the challenge? Perhaps we are best suited to just visit LaLande a few times a year. Thank you Stephanie and all the lovely people at LaLande.

In that Patrick and Stuart are new to Chateau life it was very meaningful to them to get the invitation to Lalande and be included. This sort of party fosters goodwill amongst the owners, creates a support group for any problems or repairs they may encounter, and opens the door for collaboration between their channels which benefits them all.

What a wonderful weekend for you all - all my favorite people. I thought of Sarah when I saw those patterns - wonderful find! The robes were beautiful and a very thoughtful gift, looked great on everyone. The outfits looked great on you as well Stephanie. Stefanie….always a delight to see familiar faces, other Chateau Owners, you and Phillip all together. It was especially nice to Patrick & Stewart, Journey to The Chateau there also. As I watched them this week, they were so excited to receive an invitation from you and how kind and gracious you and Phillip were. They mentioned that you even offered them a room to stay the night, which was very thoughtful, but had to decline because of there dogs. I would love to see them again at your Chateau and I look forward to their invitation to you and Phillip to visit their Chateau, their Chateau is beautiful. The food looked soooo good, you have been blessed with some great Chefs.
scoop the seeds and pulp out of the zuchini (corgette) and feed to all your livestock 4 legged and fowl the peels too if you are disposing of peelings, or compost all the bits and freeze the flesh of them in 1Lb. packets for winter use for breads, soups, cakes etc.

There's an American guy trying to restore his ancestral (derelict) pile in England @HopwoodXIV. His videos are thankfully short because I get anxiety attacks about the amount of work involved. Fortunately the locals are volunteering to help him. Stephanie's chateau vlogs are like being on holiday in a 5* hotel in comparison 😂

STEPHANIE, I'm sooo excited that you finally met Patrick and Stuart. They mentioned their visit to La Lande yesterday. I knew you were having some Chateau owners for a visit, but didn't know it included them. I'm so happy, ya'll will be great friends now! And the girls, Julia and Carolina from Chateau de puividal. What a dream, but a dream that has and is continuing to come true. I wish that I could buy a Chateau and be a part of the "gang". But alas I can't. I am totally going to be satisfied being a friend. YOU ARE MY PEOPLE. I won't be able to make a visit in Sept., however, I am working on a Chateau tour sometime next year. I counted today and I follow about 12 Chateau vlogs. You were the first almost 3 years ago now. So, out of the 12 or more that I watch, I am trying to plan a road trip to visit at least 7 of them. I'm so excited at the possibility. I lived in a close community for years and am soooo drawn to La Lande. I'm hoping to stay as a guest for a few days and then work as a volunteer for as long as you will have me. OMG! That lovely blue and white faience pitcher was probably well in excess of €100 when it was new. I toured the Faiencerie Georges in Nevers in 1982. Wow, has their work product changed since then. How wonderful that they live to fight another day. The tour was so interesting, showing the labor intensive and time consuming process. The process is hundreds of years old. The hand painted detailing is really wonderful. If you're ever in Nevers, after checking out the Cathedrale Saint-Cyr-et- Sainte-Julitte next to the historic pont over the Loire, and the Palais Ducal, the Rue de Commerce, the medieval wall, schedule a tour of one of their famous faience factories like Faiencerie Georges. The grande maisons lining Rue Victor Hugo are pretty amazing too.👍👍

One day for your garden parties or appetizers you should make Indian chaat (which means “snack food”). My favorite is aloo tikki (potato patties in a bun, can be as spicy or mild as you want). Use up all the potatoes you have and try something new!

Grew up with Zucchini Bread in Vancouver. Everyone had back yard gardens in our neighborhood. 50’s. Multicultural neighbours after ww11. The Italians were the first to plant them. Oh and lots of homemade wine 🍷zucchini parmigiana

The monogram patters hit a chord with me. I’m currently going through storage tubs of my Gram & my Moms’ table linens, guest towels, dresser scarves, luncheon & brunch table cloths, placemats & napkins. Among this collection are a dozen very large & heavy linen napkins with my mother’s monogram…. I’m dividing up the contents & sending some to a cousin. My daughter took a few items, daughter in law & granddaughters aren’t interested….
It is such a shame that the young ones don’t want any of the ‘old fashioned’ linens and/or doilies. I have lots of family hand me downs like embroidered table cloths, tray cloths, dressing table sets etc and my maternal grandmother was rather prolific with crocheted doilies and table mats of which I cannot find any interested family members to pass them down to now. 😢❤️
