What a wonderful inspiring video, Marilyn! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us all! 🙏💚 I really admire that you started your wonderful channel for you beautiful grand babies! They are so lucky to have you! 💕 And as for the Sarton! It’s a stunner and I love that we share so much excitement about this new Flemish tarot of ours! 😍
@ oh, you have so much knowledge on tarot which you share in your videos, Marilyn!! I very much enjoy your observations and every time you do a reading demonstration, I learn from you. 😍
I forgot to mention.. yes.. I often damage cards by doing overhand shuffling.. I do both to mix cards up but corner riffle shuffle works the best .. exactly like Mascha.. since I also have small hands.
I have tried to do corner shuffles, but I'm not coordinated enough and they fly all over the place. 🤪 There's always a camera between the cards and myself and I don't actually see the cards except through the camera. Fortunately, very few of my decks have any wear and tear. Just minimal. It helps that I have so many I guess. I'm going to practice now that you mention it, because it sounds like a better idea. Thanks for reminding me of that! ~ Marilyn
You are my inspiration, Marilyn! That's what my goal is.. (inspired by you) Looking to build my legacy... I want my descendants to remember me as a grandma who read cards.. (and collected decks.. lol)
@@nobuyoannekatharine Hello :) Thank you for the lovely compliment. I imagine that everyone who creates a UA-cam channel is leaving a legacy of sorts. Happy New Year! ~ Marilyn
This may be the most beautiful of the historic decks in your collection. I really love it! I hope you all have a very happy and healthy 2025. All the best with love, Donna
Isn't this deck gorgeous?! I've never been overly fond of TdM style which is why I really like the Flemish and Swiss variants. This deck is a pleasure to read also. Thank you for watching and commenting! ~ Marilyn
I am always excited when a new video from you pop up. The legacy of all your videos won't only be for your descendants but as well for all of us your "non-family" branches arround the world from that big tarot family tree you have raised since decades🌳. We all are your babies in one way Mama Marilyn. ❤ So pickle yourself coz we need you and we want you here for many many years. At a hundred the latest, then we'll gratefuly let you retire😅 Fun appart, I can't remember how old was that tarot. I know it was mentioned on Mascha & Marco's video but there were so many beautiful decks I lost track. This one is definetly going into my wishlist cart. The LAMOUR card is everything for someone called LAMOUR. How delicate Marco named it after me 😂
Omgosh! What a cool thing for you that your surname matches the Lover card! Thank you for the lovely compliment, it means a great deal to me. I appreciate what you said. Thank you. ~ Marilyn
Your videos are really inspiring, Marilyn! Aside from the beautiful decks, your comments and your vision always make me look at things from a new viewpoint. My Vandenborre is one of my favourites and I always find myself drawing comparisons with the Vieville, of course. Would you consider including the Vieville when you do your comparison of the 2 flemish decks? or discuss the reasons for the similarities? Sending you a great big thank you from the Canary Islands for all the knowledge you share on your channel. Cora
@CLP-fz5fy Thank you Cora. Yes, I did mention in this video and little later on, that I'll be comparing the Vandenborre, Viéville, Adam C de Hautot, and a few from the Anonymous Tarot of Paris. But first, tomorrow, I'll release a reading using these cards. Thank you for your lovely remarks and thank you for watching. Happy New Year! ~ Marilyn
@@MarilynFromTarotClarity I'm sorry, I must have missed that. 🙃 I've got some serious brainfog happening today. I'll be looking forward to both videos! Thank you again. ❤️
wow! totally wonderful, it does look like a vanderborre! But the brightness of colours here, I watched the convo between Marco and Mascha the other day and saw the prototype. Thanks a million for your slow and informed read as always. Happy New Year! x Caroline
You're welcome Caroline, and thank you for watching! I'll be releasing a reading I did with it on Monday and on Wednesday I'll be releasing a side-by- side with the Vandenborre, de Hatout, Vieville, and in some cards the Anonymous Tarot of Paris. Stay tuned! ~ Marilyn
The card quality and colors are really lovely. The version we have from US Games, has the lines cleaned up. Curious, all the coins and Court coin cards from the US Games version, have a very clear printed version of the Maltese cross at the center, or a straight line cross symbol. This new wonderful version seems to impose a red dot loose color splash, seemingly, trying to blot out the cross symbol at the center of the coins.
My next video (probably tomorrow or Thursday) I'll compare the pips of these decks. Marco owns the original Sarton that he's reproduced here and it was so pristine that nothing had to be done to reproduce it. I was unaware that US Games Systems Inc had reproduced the Sarton. Who knows, there may be other originals in someone else's collection. The Sarton came first, then the Vandenborre. Since they appear to have been printed in stages, perhaps frame and titles/numbers first, then the images, and then colors I'm guessing by stencil. Lots of opportunities for differences I suppose. Your observation about blotting out a religious or political reference could be spot on!Thank you for watching and commenting! ~ Marilyn
@@MarilynFromTarotClarity Yes, the copy I am referring to, is the Vandenborre distributed by Carta Mundi and US Games. The line work is very clear, thinner cleaner lines, which is much appreciated; do not own a deck rendered by Marco's artistry, but from what you show, the quality and inks appear organic & sublime.
Ahh, ok, yes, the Vandenborre more carefullyexecuted the color. After comparing all the pips, I think the Sarton was coloring and not hiding the cross. Although who knows, you may be right! @gcmgcm4238
Hmm, I'd love to be able to tell you, but I have over 500 public videos, so it's hard to know. My guess is that I must have discussed it when I did videos on other Flemish or Belgian decks. If they popped up during a reading using those decks I would have discussed it. I'll be doing a comparison video next Wednesday comparing this deck to the Vandenborre and the de Hatout and I'll definitely talk about it again. Thank you for watching! ~ Marilyn
