And i am glad that you 'get' this song - it really captures the darker side of humans through the raw, agressive, dark lyrics, and then juxtaposes that with the soaring 'Shine On'. Brilliant!
Amazing guitar work by Eddie on this one. The solo totally conjures a twister in my mind - I can't imagine that anyone could better capture that on guitar.
For the 4th of July could you consider reacting to Dan bass cover of The Star-Spangled Banner. Then react to the 3 minute video called the apology. That's where you get to know Dan vasc and I know that you will 100% agree with everything that he says. Because just like you he doesn't believe the things that you don't believe also and he does believe in stand for the things that you believe in stand for You can also react to Pentatonix July 4th live appearance of Seasons of Love from rent. Kirstie knocks it out of the park. And speaking of parks Pentatonix son the national anthem at the college bowl series I think 2 years ago and there's a video of that also
That guitar run when it slows down is one of the most beautiful sounds I have heard in my 38 years of life. I've heard it thousands of times and it still captures me.
The growl of the string hitting the pickup right after the whammy bar dive at the transition between the solo segments is a favorite part of this song. Ed was really starting to take his style into another direction with this song, or even in the Balance era overall. Lots more layering, more pinched harmonics, more screaming tones. Even his fx set up started changing. This became more of his sound up to the end.
Diving straight into the cold, dark, deep end of the VH catalog, right from the start! Bold choice!
The song was written for the movie twister back in 1996.

The "S" isn't in the wrong place. It's pretty genius songwriting
Its meant to have the s there, its about human's being ie being human
Fil you’re out of practice. You paused twice during the guitar solo!!
This Song is inside the soundtrack of "Twister"........And there's another one, an instrumental song: "respect the wind"
