I would like to say this: I am not judging anyone about Christmas but for me Jesus was not born on Dec. 25th, so I ask you, is it not the same as celebrating sabbath on Sun worship day? Christmas is a pagan holiday and we should be careful. History tells us that Christmas is actually celebrating Mitra, the sun god. One scripture to back this up is Jerimiah: 10:3,4,5 For the custom of the people are vain: for one cuts a tree out of the forest, the works of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 4) They deck it with with silver and gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. 5) They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil; neither also is it in them to do good. Two things here, celebrating Christ on the wrong day is wrong like going to church on Sunday which is a common workday, except for Pentecost, and two, trees and other decorations are very close to being idols which the 2nd commandment tells us not to do. I say this with love.
Thank you for sharing your perspective. I understand and respect your concerns, and I appreciate that you’re approaching this with love and a sincere desire to honor God. While it’s true that Jesus was not born on December 25th, many Christians see Christmas as an opportunity to reflect on and share the profound truth of His incarnation-the moment when God came to dwell among us.
As believers, we know that the exact date of Jesus’ birth is not as important as the significance of His coming. The heart of Christmas for many is to celebrate this gift and to use the season as a chance to uplift the Gospel, to focus on His love and sacrifice, and to point others to Him. There is nothing in the scriptures against doing this, in contrast to the custom of observing Sunday and forgetting the Sabbath, for which there is a clear unmistakable command to not do.
The birth of Jesus changed the course of history, it is the event that is at the foundation of our Hope and our Faith. The angels sang and shouted the Good News of Great Joy and they lit up the sky, and told the shepherd to go and search for the Baby. Then the shepherd went about proclaiming excitedly what they had seen. So, should we, as evangelistic believers, not take advantage of this time of year and retell the story excitedly and share the Good News? Our view is that we should not get caught up in the materialism and in the plethora of made up, make believe elements that secular minded people attach to Christmas. Meanwhile, we should not neglect ANY opportunity to share Jesus and His story! Where in the Bible does it say, do not share the story of Jesus on a day that used to be a pagan holiday? On the contrary, the Bible says: "Overcome evil with good" Romans 12:21 We must remember that Jesus is the one who creates our days, including December 25th, and every single day, and therefore we can use it to speak of His Gift. Regarding the traditions like trees and decorations, I understand how these can be seen in light of the passage you mentioned. For some, they are simply symbols or cultural expressions with NO SPIRITUAL significance, while for others, they may feel its a distraction. It’s important for each of us to prayerfully examine our motives and practices to ensure they honor God and align with His Word.
Most importantly, we do not have to agree on this topic - this is what the Bible calls a gray area and each one must be fully persuaded in his own mind, similar to the issue in the New Testament where some believers were OK with partaking of meat that had been sacrificed to idols, whereas other believers were not OK with it. Believers can respectfully disagree and still have unity of spirit. Thank you again for bringing this up and encouraging thoughtful reflection. May we all continue to seek God’s guidance and grow in grace as we strive to glorify Him in all we do.
I am going to hell I have no peace in my heart I feel like I committed the unpardonable sin what do I do do I just go back and live in sin
@@ChristopherOropeza367 Peace is a gift that God WILL give you because He promised to give it as a gift to those who TRUST in Jesus as their Savior from sin. If you believe this- that Jesus paid the price for the penalty of your sin, and if you ask him to be the king and ruler of your heart, then you can believe that He will give you His peace. Jesus overcame the devil for you. Jesus prevailed for you. You can claim His victory as your victory! Do not go by feeling- go by faith in His Word. when the Holy Spirit has your permission, he will come in and transform you from inside out. Meditating on his word, studying his word, and praying, are the things that will keep your hold on Christ. These are not difficult things to do. God is the one that does the hard work of transforming your heart, but you must give him your intentions and your time and your thoughts. When Satan comes calling for you to engage in sin- you will call out to your Father and you will have strength from above which you never knew you could have. We will be praying for you! Listen to the song: “Peace I Leave With You” on this channel again and again. Memorize it. Quote it when you are being harassed by the enemy! Memorizing scripture is powerful! 💕🙏
