I've just finished watching Band of Brothers for probably the sixth time. What is striking is how little Damian Lewis has aged since BoB.
I should really get my ass into gear and watch Homeland.

Some of Damian's scenes in Homeland, especially season 1 when Claire Dane's character falls in love with him, are some of the best TV I've ever watched. Totally believable, totally absorbing.
I'd always feel Damien Lewis should be the next James Bond.

His name is one of many that got thrown about after Spectre released but being he is in his 40s he got ruled out not long after his name started to come up. A big shame because I do agree I think Damien Lewis could play Bond really well

@@darkphoenix4568 It's bound to happen, especially if he is not in Britain. He does speak American for probably 14 hours a day 5 days a week. He did an interview saying when he is filming in America he sometimes speaks an American accent all day out shopping without realizing it.
I swear the actor had a smattering of Pennsylvania Dutch in his BOB performance.
On an aside, I was at a stoplight Ephrata Pennsylvania on a cold February night, and, while in The Major’s home town, the sudden thought “Major Winters still lives” came over me. Actually, he had died days before, but had enough clout to keep it out of the paper’s until after his private interment, to protect his family. Weird.

Up until about 3 weeks ago (this is May, 2020) Damian Lewis was one of my favorite American actors, lol! He sounds so strange (foreign, one might say...) speaking without his American accent. Great actor.

The first time I saw Damian Lewis was in a Touch of Frost. He played a University student. He didn't have a large role, but he made an impression. I knew he was going to go far in his career. It's the way he uses his eyes when he talks.

He was such a great American actor it was hard for me to believe he was British. Standing by the Jeep with ammo as they are headed off into the Ardennes he used the word ’situation’ It was the only word that wasn’t perfect and I only noticed it on the nth watching. He was brilliant. I knit a lot of Christmas gifts that fall.
I didn’t know where they found all the actors I had never seen before but it was brilliant. It’s great we get to see these actors instead of the usual American ones.

Today, May 20th is the first time I realized that Damian Lewis is English//British. His American accent in the movie was super good. I'd have never known he wasn't American. Also, what a great job he did portraying Major Winters. I hope he got to meet the real Dick Winters in true life. I'd guess he did.

Damian Lewis' portrayal of Dick Winters was amazing. I follow this guy to every show and movie he acts in because of it. Billions was amazing as well.
I will also say Damian Lewis and Ron Livingston as Nixon and Dick was so chemical. I love it.

I got to do a car chase scene with him in LA 10 year ago on another show...Also ran into him in Venice..Also got to meet Tom Hanks, Spielburgh and close to 10 of the actors from Band of Brothers..I am very lucky
