  • Making a Full Shirt Order With the DigitalHeat FX System | Production Run
    If you are looking to make a full shirt order, the DigitalHeat FX system is the perfect way to do it.
    With this system, you can make one shirt or a big order, and the quality will be the same. This system uses a digital file to print your designs onto transfer paper.
    Have you heard of DTF printing? It's the newest way to print tons of transfer super fast. We did the same production run as this video using our 4 head DTF printer BUT with front AND back designs (and it was still faster). Check it out in this video: • Making a Full Shirt Or...
    The transfer paper is then placed onto the shirt using a heat press. The heat press allows for a high level of detail and accuracy when printing designs onto shirts. The Full-color prints look brilliant.
    We created a detailed ROI you can find here, including pricing on printer and supplies: digitalheatfx.com/2022/04/whi...
    This means that you can print almost any design onto your full order of t-shirts.
    You can get high-quality prints. Just follow these basic steps which are broken down and the timestamps marked below:
    Design
    Create a design in any graphics application you like-CorelDraw, Photoshop, Illustrator. Or, bring your customer’s idea to life with their vector art design or clipart.
    PRINT
    Simply load your design into the DigitalHeat FX’s RIP software and hit ‘Print’. No messy inks to clean up, no screens to wash, and no maintenance to do.
    PRESS
    Using the specially designed laser EZ Peel paper-our one-paper-fits-all solution-press the image onto your material with a heat press. Or send it off to a client who has their own heat press.

    What is it REALLY like to do a small print run with a white toner printer like the DigitalHeat FX system?
    You can find dozens of quick videos demonstrating the capabilities of white toner printing - many of them on this Videos page. But in the end, they are just showing you what you CAN do.
    Those videos are all meant to inspire you with the possibilities and outline the capabilities of the custom t-shirt business using white toner printing.
    During the video shown below you’ll see 1 person produce a 16-piece custom t-shirt order using a white toner printer.
    Starting from Printing the graphic onto the transfer sheets at :44
    Then actually making the transfers themselves through the “marry” step at 3:50 (this takes about 35 minutes so feel free to fast forward through)
    Next, we go through applying the transfers to 4 different kinds of t-shirts, 4 each, for a total of 16. That happens starting at 39:40
    Last is a finishing heat press for each shirt at 58:20 seconds
    The whole process of starting from printing the graphic to finishing the order took about 1 hour.
    SPOILER ALERT! We estimate that the job would earn the seller $339 in sales and $162.64 in gross profit.
    Making $162.64 for an hour of work is a pretty good return on your efforts!

    I've been binging on your videos to learn about DTF and want to say Hannah is a great spokesperson. She never gets flustered; she is very competent in what she explains; and she is articulate and smart. What a wonderful employee you have in her!

    Hi there, can you tell me what's the difference is between the printers that put on the white ink and then you have to run them through the white powder and then heat up the whole transfer versus what you're doing like, stretch ability on shirts how many washes you get before fading and what type of shirts can you press both of them on.
    Thank You

      @ColDesiColman  2 роки тому

      The biggest difference is the DigitalHeat FX System is a toner printing system and what you are referring to is DTF printing which is an inkjet printing system. There is also a huge printer size different and price difference. This is a really great video that talks about the pros and cons of each system - digitalheatfx.com/project/comparing-white-toner-printing-to-direct-to-film-dtf/

    would you double your speed with a second press? Also, can you press them onto a hat, mug and ??? Also, how many could you get done in an hour, if you were on it and with two heat presses? Great video, Thank you!

    • @ColDesiColman
      @ColDesiColman  2 роки тому +3

      So many good questions! Not EXACTLY double, but it would get faster with 1 of these 2 scenarios:
      1 - Use 1 press for marrying only, so while you're waiting you could be applying completed transfers to a garment or object with your 2nd press
      2 - double up on your marrying using both presses so that step would be done 2X as quickly
      Check out the stats on this job where we did 16 large prints in an hour... while shooting the video: digitalheatfx.com/2022/04/white-toner-printer-2/

    The dtf printers have the same steps minus the extra paper. 😮 do you have to do pre maintenance on the printer in this video?

    • @ColDesiColman
      @ColDesiColman  Рік тому

      There is virtually NO maintenance needed for white toner printers. No liquid ink means no mess and no clogs!

      Once you're done with the "marry" step the transfers are very stable, so you can store or ship.

    What do u mean by 5 pressure? I don't have a press that the pressure is digital it's all by feal on how hard or easy it is to press the platinum down.

    • @ColDesiColman
      @ColDesiColman  2 роки тому +1

      Hey Cheryl! Having a press with a digital pressure read-out is really important for this process. But a 5 pressure translates to about a medium pressure.

  • @makinglifefunwithteenacind5920

    When I marry the image the substrate is sticking to the whole image, im kinda confused, why would it be doing that? and not just to the toner?

    Looks but a few questions. What type of system is this again? Digital transfer system. How does it work? Is this different from sublimation? And how because it looks like your going to place these on dark colored tees? What would I need to complete this process for an order?

    • @ColDesiColman
      @ColDesiColman  2 роки тому

      Hi Briana, we answer ALL these questions, and more in the video! You should really check it out!
      This is the DigitalHeat FX System, it is a white toner printing system. It is not the same as sublimation. This printer uses toner, while sublimation uses ink. The DigitalHeat FX System prints white, so that allows us to put these on dark colored tees.

    The AB EZpeel paper that I just purchased (07/23) from your company says 290 degrees for 100 seconds and must be completely cold before peeling.....which is completely different than this video, and the designs keep ending up on the B sheet.

      We recommend following the instructions that came in the box of paper you purchased. Product updates over time can have adjustments in time/temperature.

      @@ColDesiColman If I have a few little spots where the adhesive did not adhere to sheet A, can I still use the transfer if I'm ok with the light spot? Will not having adhesive in those spots cause the design to crack or any other technical issues? Is there any reason not to use the transfer other than you might see through the area?

  • @kathyaferrari3409
    @kathyaferrari3409 2 роки тому +1

    Why if I do the exact same process my design cracks with the very first wash???? Hope you can answer me. Thank you

    • @ColDesiColman
      @ColDesiColman  2 роки тому

      Hey Kathya - it can be a few different things:
      > Process - white toner transfers require specific temperatures AND pressures to cure properly.
      > Design - a transfer sits on top of shirt fabric. So when you have large, filled in areas - think of a big, solid photo vs a design with "negative" space. When you wash the photo the water doesn't have anywhere to go THROUGH so it pushes against the design and that can cause cracking. There are some techniques you can use to alleviate that.
      > The t-shirt quality matters. Transfers don't shrink or twist, which happens in the first few washes of some cheaper, lower quality tees. That can also cause cracking.
      The best thing you can do to troubleshoot is work with support. Lot's of people get fantastic results, so keep trying!

    • @ColDesiColman
      @ColDesiColman  2 роки тому +1

      Faster than Vinyl! But definitely slower than DTF. Somewhat similar to DTG Printing, but no limitations on shirt material with DigitalHeat FX. Also slower than sublimation, but you are not limited to just polyester! It's important to learn about all the decoration methods for a fair comparison - You can learn more here - coldesi.com/
