Hey guys! In this video I go over the history of the Metriacanthosaurus in the Jurassic Park Franhcise! We start all the way back in the original movie from 1993 and then go through the whole Jurassic Park Series where we find some information on this prehistoric animal. Now some dinosaurs in these films don't exactly pop up to often and some of them don't even make physical appearances, like our cretaceous dino today! So these are my Jurassic World Thoughts on this particular animal. Hope you all enjoy! :D
One of my favorite dinosaurs to have in my parks on JPE.
hell yeah bro!
@Brandein Guerrero I agree. The stripes and his temperament make him a great guy. My best enclosure has 10 of them in there with really docile temperament modifications and some ankylosaurs. A nice step up from the Ceratosaurs when you don't have the resources for Allosaurus or Carnotaurus.
Isn’t it JWE don’t want to hate I’ll have to check
How 2 Be A NOOB Yes it’s jwe
Yay me too 😁
I kinda fell in love with this weird little dinosaur after I caught one of them socializing with a goat on JWE. I'm not sure if it's a behaviour unique to the Metriacanthosaurus or if other animals do it from time to time but words can't really explain how delighted I was to zoom in and see it talking to a goat that had been roaming around its exhibit. What a cutie pie.
wait that happend to me as well
@@dzakyakhtarwafiinun319 they can do that?
Other dinos could do it too but idk y.
to me the best way is possibly a prequel type movie. maybe a prequel to jurassic world, show the indominous rex growing up as well as some of the other dinos we missed like the Metriacanthosaurus. i'd love it
I think that would be the worst way, honestly. What would you do in a movie where nothing goes wrong? It would be better to show it in some kind of spin-off series, maybe Camp Cretaceous. Metriacanthosaurus is likely still going to be alive in season 2, so it would make sense.
This dinosaur is kind of a mystery
Mysterycanthosaurus?
@@TheOriginalEdFry 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Been reading the original novel and there is a lot of material I wish to see on screen like the conversation between Malcolm and Arnold
A good prequel would be about the first park's construction.
Almost 30 years after (it’s 27) being in the franchise it’s finally got the attention and love.
Metriacanthosaurus is one of my best dinosaurs in the Jurassic period since Allosaurus.
Good video for the Metriacanthosaurus in the Jurassic series.
Man, this dinosaur deserves more attention.
Just like Sonorasaurus, Torvosaurus, Saurophaganax, Ceratosaurus, Dilophosaurus, Acrocanthosaurus, Centrosaurus, Carcharodontosaurus, & Nasutoceratops to name a few.
I'm glad Metriacanthosaurus got to be in Evolution, the only problem I have with it is that Frontier made it so much smaller than its real life counterpart. Though that would explain why it went extinct on Nublar, if InGen really cloned the dinosaur to be smaller than it actually was.
Ikr they made it smaller than the carnotaurus it was the same size
Metriacanthosaurus is what I play in the new dinosaur survival game Path of Titans. It's my favorite of all the dinosaurs there. :)
I'd loved the metria to appear in the 3rd movie, same with pachyrhinosaurus and spinosaurus.
What dino would you like to see in the next movie that wasn't already in the franchise?
Metriacanthosaurus, Segisaurus, Kentrosaurus and maybe Troodon?
A living Concavanator not the sculpture in fallen kingdom. It would be cool for the people to be at the beach and they see its sail and they think it is a shark and they get out of the water thinking their safe and then the Concavanator would come out of the water and eat them. How it survived nublar as it used the water and island hopped from the five deaths so the mainland and stayed by the water as its time in the water made it evolve in some kind of way.
Torvosaurus but I don't think it's on ingen's list so I would like to see Giganotosaurus appear in the third film
Polish Indoraptor It’s called a idea also Island hopping or being a stowaway on a ship.
I would definitely love to see Pachyrhinosaurus and the return of Dilophosaurus, Pachycephalosaurus, and maybe even the Spinosaurus, just as long as they don't have another Rex vs. Spino fight.
RIP METRIACANTHOSAURUS 😢
I still have hope that we can see the Metri in some sort of prequel or show, well, at least we can make them in Jurassic World Evolution,
Oh Metri, how i WAIT, i already said that
Omg yes! I remember and miss the JP Institute website! I still have a little poster of JP Institute.
Great video Klayton Fioriti about the history of the Metriacanthosaurus in the Jurassic Park franchise. 👍👍👏👏
Hey klayton, I really like ur channel, its great because ur the only JP theorist I can find Liv Tue vids, keep up the good work, oh, and plz keep this intro in ur vids, peace out
Dude this one my favorite dino of all times especially the evolution model
I actually got a blind bag metriacanthosaurus for my nephew this past Christmas. This makes me want to play JW: Evolution even more. Take it easy, Klayton. Good JP content as usual.
Mattel is also just announced a new metriacanthisaurus repair at toy fair btw.
Your opening is like the coolest thing dude keep up the awesome work
Haven't checked on this channel in a long time, I'm really digging the new intro! Good job Klayton!
Metria has become one of my favorite mid-tier carnivores, especially in Jurassic World: Evolution with all those awesome color variants.
I just figured out something funny!
There's Acrocanthosaurus, which means "High Spined Lizard", correct?
Then we have Metriacanthosaurus, which means "Moderately Spined Lizard", OK?
So, what if in an eventual year, we find a small predator, with a sail, and name it Microcanthosaurus - ("Small Spined Lizard")
Btw, this is just a joke
I really want to see a few more appearances in the Lego TV show.
Great video, as always, Klayton! I, too, have been a big fan of the metriacanthosaurus since I first saw its name on the embryo list. At first I thought it was a long necked species of dinosaur and, being a kid with no access to the Internet in 1993, had no way to find out otherwise. Years later I found out what it really was and was quite impressed. To me it felt like the T-Rex's was tough little brother. The figure for the JP: FK toy line was the first one I picked up! Well I wish it was featured in one of the movies I like the fact that it is one of the series "mysterious dinosaurs". It gives my imagination a lot of space on what this dinosaur is all about. This and the proceratodaurus have got to be my two top favorite dinosaurs not appearing in the Jurassic Park franchise.
I still don’t know why you are so good at this
i'd love to see a scene where like claire and chris pratt are abiut to get eaten by a majunga saurus and then outta nowhere a metriacanthosaurus grabs the neck of the majungasaurus and slams it to the ground at full force. and while the metria canthosaurus is on top of the majungasaurus, the metriacanthosaurus snaps its neck. that would be a great representation
I can’t wait when this series is complete!
Hopefully one day in a future Jurassic installment we’ll get to see the Metricanthosaurus
Its getting a toy is yet more evidence of Mattel's immense effort to give fans more and more new toys
Yet another awesome video. You shed so much light on the mysteries of my favourite film franchise. You really fill in the gaps. Unreal knowledge dude! Keep it up! :)
OoooooOoo loving the new intro :)
and bros just fire
Personally, I'd love to have seen more representation from tge other lesser seen carnivores in the films such as Allosaurus, Metriacanthosaurus, Gigonatosaurus, Acrocenthosaurus, so on and so forth. I was delighted to have seen Carnotaurus and Allosaurus get at least a little bit of spot light, but we could've used more. Fingers crossed for the next film.
I want to thank you for these videos. Me and my husband watch them at night in bed here in the U.K. they truly rock !
Hey thanks! I really appreciate that!
Another one of my favorite Dinosaurs thanks to Jurassic World Evolution. Thanks for doing the history of this carnivorous dino.
This is a mysterious dinosaur with it strange roar that sounds like a belch!
Also kinda sounds like a pig or hog (probably where the game makers got the sound.)
Ooooh a new intro? I love it!
Best channel in UA-cam brother ✌️💪
I always wondered about the Metriacanthosaurus as a kid. Those other dino names on the embryos always stuck with me, and I always wanted to see all of those dinosaurs represented in the movies.
I have the Mattel figure and it is awesome! So cool to see this dino have it's own merch, despite being kind of a mystery
Metriacanthosaurus is in jurassic Park we're the scence where nedry takes the embryo u wouid notice the metriacanthosaurus next to the stegasaurus
I LOVE THIS CHANNEL!
I welcome you back to Jurassic world 3
All dinosaurs long live 🦖🦖🦖
Thanks for the video! Good thing they put this dinosaur on the Jurassic World video game.
Metriacanthosaurus is personally one of my favorite Dinosaurs in the franchise mainly because of the mystery surrounding it and also because of it’s design. I was hoping it would appear in Fallen Kingdom but unfortunately as you said, it fell back into extinction. It is however, entirely possible we could see it make an appearance in JW3 as there is the chance that it’s DNA is on record somewhere. I would love to see it fill the role of a main antagonist in either a spin-off or JW3, as it strikes a nice balance between fast, intelligent raptors and large, intimidating theropods.
I doubt the metria would make an appearance in the films, it’s just too generic of a Dino compared to the more distinctive carnivores like carnotaurus, diliphosauris, baryonyx.
I love your video nice jobs keep it up.i love how you most of the time you get your information from the book
Hey man I love your channel so much man oh and can you a history of the suhcomimmis that would be great
Metriacanthosaurus is my favourite dinosaur my nickname for him is metro
i have always loved this dinosaur after it's name appeared in the first movie. It was like the kalos ghost girl of Jurassic Park: it appeared out of nowhere and was only around for a few seconds, but got everyone's attention.
Any more trespasser videos on route? Fab channel !!!!!!
I’d like the idea of seeing more of this particular Dino. It would definitely stand out.
Very interesting video hope to see it in movie's soon
I think that some of the dinosaurs including Metriacanthosaurus that weren't fully featured in the movies have at least been mentioned once or they appeared on the computer screens/signs. Like how Claire said that line "You should hear a four year old try to say Archeornithomimus." That dinosaur was mentioned once and got released into Jurassic World Evolution.
yes, even a shot of it walking in the background
Its such a shame that this animal was never forwardly seen. It looks so exotic I can imagine it would have been striking to see in the flesh.
I've always been so curious how this dinosaur fits into the JP lore! I really wish it had at least shown up in official promo material for earlier films, as I'm particularly curious about how it would've fit into the first park and Isla Sorna.
How does the Cretaceous Cruise operate. Are there actual carnivores in the water alongside the park guests? If so, how hasn't anyone been killed by a Baryonyx?
awesome video again klayton!
Can't you recreate the dinosaurs with just 1% of your power
@@ksoundkaiju9256 yea i made them go extinct at 0.002
Keep them coming man
I always wanted to see this dinosaur in movies and documentary.🐍🐊🐉🐲
I think what’s interesting is that it’ll be getting a figure in the Hammond collection line. I am curious what they’ll base the figure on, since there’s many game models they can base it on. I’ll probably guess jw evolution since it’s the most popular game
Great video
One of my favorite dinos!
R.I.P.
Fine video, but I'm finally gonna say it, I liked your animated intro better than the bad CGI dinosaur one we have now...
The Metriacanthosaurus could appear in Jurassic World Dominion cause people around the world are creating dinosaurs of their own (thanks to the ending of JWFK).
If this, Herrerasaurus, and Segisaurus are given physical appearances in some form in the third "Jurassic World," it would bring pretty much the list of animals for Hammond's park full circle.
I honestly love cryptic dunks in the Jurassic park series
Back when Jurassic World first came out I always thought the Metriacanthasaurus was an allosaurus because they looked very similar!
The metriacanthosaurus deserves some shine
I love your videos even we disagree.... maybe even more then.
Honestly, I'd rather see Eustreptospondylus from Walking With Dinosaurs. Always been fond of the show's somewhat goofy, yet opportunistic depiction of the species & would love seeing it in the JP movie universe. Always imagined Eustrepties serving as the hyenas of Isla Sorna, scavengers by themselves but hunters when in packs.
eustrepsilopondylus XD
Now Yangchuanosaurus is probably going to be in Jurassic World Dominion
I beat JWE on PS4 and just started on PC, it's a cool beast, Universal needs to include it eventually.
I hope this Dinosaur gets added in Jurassic World Alive!
I’m always game for more dinosaurs showing up in the movies.
Imagine the potential for this dinosaur. Only small amounts of its spine and other bones have been found of it, so you could go all out on its features without the fear of Dino fans complaining that it's inaccurate.
Yay!
I love this Dino!
It would be interesting to see It, I wouldn't say that I'm hyped for it but I would always love to see more "new" dinos of the franchise, especially the ones that are cannon since the first movie and even cannon in the novels.
I feel like, someway, somehow, it and others will appear in a series that takes place after Jurassic world dominion. Like maybe Claire and the gang would be stuck in some Biodome sanctuary? It would be really cool if we saw it, and the other missing dinosaurs in this concet series.
I hope we see it in the next movie
Your profile picture looks beautiful
Robert the Dude why thank you
I would love to at least catch a glimpse of this dinosaur in the next movie! Even if it's just shortly, such as how the Ceratosaurus and Allosaurus were shown in the films.
This dinosaur is Most Stronger than Indominus Rex So Metriacanthosaurus can Rule the Jurassic World Yeah its legit 1,000% Legited
The Metriacanthosaurus is the younger sibling of Acrocanthosaurus but Probably Its her Cousin idk if her younger Sibling.
Acrocanthosaurus Is much larger than Metriacanthosaurus so acrocanthosaurus Can Rule all Jurassic Movies...and Films
0:47 Hope you all enjoy *bha* this is the history of the Metriacanthosaurus in the Jurassic Park Franchise.
This Dinosaur got me thinking. What about any species we have not seen on the screen living before the events of JP that may have gotten pulled back into extinction?
It would be wonderful to see this dino in the upcoming Jurassic world movie as well the Spinosaurus
I really loved the JPI. I wish they could continue it. Maybe in a children's cartoon
They said they are open for a TV Show.. Hopefully we get something other movies to flesh out everything
I prefer an animated series for all ages
Or an anime
@@ksoundkaiju9256 anime you say... imagine all the velociraptor with swords fighting Ultra instinct Rexy
@Polish Indoraptor JPI is Jurassic Park Institute. It focused on teaching kids Paleontology facts
Yeah we should see more of those dinosaurs is unknown a store in the franchise we did not know about
Would be really interesting if jurassic park media would make some film, TV show, game or cartoon show of biotin hunters getting Dennis nedrys cannister and buosins first made dinos being a metraccanthsaurs
I miss the JP institute site. can you imagine the stuff you could do on it with the new info from the franchise?
This my most favourite dinosaur I hope it has a scene or two in the third Jurassic world movie.
It’s on of my favorites
Did you know that there has never been a skull of metriacanthosaurus ever found
This is my absolute favorite carnivore in JWE by far. Would love for it to somehow end up in the last movie or at least get more representation.
Also I think I really want a video about the main road from the novel it would really be great
I like this dinosaurs colour scheme. If it appears in a movie i wish they keep it.
I’d would’ve loved to see at least a cameo in a film or maybe get an appearance in one of the Jurassic World Non-Movie Series.
Klayton, the Metriacanthosaurus needs to appear or be a cameo appearance in Jurassic World 3!
Unpopular opinion, metriacanthosaurus is cooler than allosaurus.
Klayton did you hear about the Jurassic short that's gonna get released with that Fast & Furious spin-off? Any thoughts on that? Heard it was gonna contain two new Dinos we haven't seen on screen; that's weird right?
It’s my favorite dinosaur yet and went instinct again😂
