Sir when we study that conditions are related to mutations, then how are those mutations confirmed in clinical practice and lab practice?
I mean to say if a doctor wants to see the anatomy he may ask for some radiology procedures to be done.
Now when will he ask for the genetic testing to be done and what procedures will he ask the patient to go for?
We study chromosomes and genes present on them but how are these things presented in real life ?

It’s can be as simple as a blood test or we can do study on biopsy - based on the lesion where you want to study genetics

Genetic tests are done in a very wide range of requirements - for diagnosis like Covid PCR, for prognosis for many cancers

@@XpressPinnacle Sir if there is a case of small cell carcinoma of lung. Then how will I get to know exactly that it is the small cell carcinoma?
How will a doctor determine the L myc amplification?
I thought that the doctor will ask for the symptoms, then look for the signs. Then he would see the radiographs and after that to confirm he would go for genetics? For example likely in this case, how will he proceed to confirm the l myc amplification or other mutations?
      Thank you for answering

It’s simple, small cell carcinoma of diagnosed on biopsy. So genetics is done on the biopsy material

miRNA is coded gentically, siRNA is is formed form mrna, or virus or synthetically. (not coded) - both function as silencing of gene only
