I commented on your last Yorick video, but I don’t think you saw it. Have you considered running Drawing Thin for economy? It’s an asset you can recur from his graveyard, and the downside of increasing a test can be mitigated from his testless damage. You can initiate a fight action on a 1-health-remaining enemy, get the resources from drawing thin, then have beat cop shot him to avoid even drawing a token (all within the same lightning bolt window). This works because Drawing thin says nothing about actually passing the test. It also gets better the more sources of testless damage he has in play. Worse case scenario for economy this way is you spend an investigate action to get 2 which still isn’t that bad.
Let me say first that I've been super hyped for a Yorick discussion video for a while! 🤩 (I'm 100% using this in future campaigns!) But! Can we take a moment to address the fact It's been 4 weeks and I'm still trying to figure out what the F!@# is going on with Leo Anderson?! He teleports around the tier list to a different spot almost every video?! 🤣 Man is on the Expedition of a Lifetime!!!
To be fair, that expedition is just back and forth over the border of the bottom tier lol. It's less like exploring the jungle and more like being a regular tourist to a neighboring state. I'm just incredibly torn between whether or not he effectively mitigates his foot well enough and offers enough to deserve to be in C tier (Which I am getting progressively more confident in).
Haha I can totally understand why 😂 In the nicest of ways I've always found him a bit generic 😅 So figuring out where he fits amongst such distinctive peers would be challenging 😢
@@RatherIncoherent His card pool made him much better lately. Underworld Market makes him insanely reliable. And Fast Reload and Contraband add a lot to Big Gun builds. Foot is a problem, and he is just plain unsexy. But I wouldn't lump him into the bottom tier, because he is very reliable.
@@Chiungalla79 100% true. I've been undervaluing the consistency he gets off of Underworld Market for finding his weapons and he shouldn't be dancing over the border at all. Probably deserves to move up a fair few spots.
Interesting insight about Yorrick, testless damage in a character that can easily make recursion with bandages is not only optimal but also very cool! Recently I was also thinking about the new parallel character and where would you put him into the tier list, what are your thoughts in Parallel Father Mateo (especially with cards like ancient covenant)?
That's a good deck list but it's missing hunting jacket a good solution to yorricks bad economy and some extra soak. I would recommend cutting Short Supply for it
It's definitely not bad at all. I just felt like Beat Dog + Guard Cop was more core exp to spend and I felt consistent enough after that to not need to buy Brute Force.
Wait, did you say @7:12 "Anything players do to generate experience is broken" and your table doesn't play Delve Too Deep? But don't you include Charon's obol in every deck that can take it?
The major difference is that Delve Too Deep is table-wide and has viscerally unpleasant gameplay patterns. But you are absolutely correct that the same argument could be made to soft-ban Obal.

I wouldn't be willing to spend exp on it with taboo, but without taboo it's a great way to sort out his economy.

Ok... you suprised me :D No Runic Axe this time
I only force Runic Axe when it's the best. It's just the best upsettingly often.
Starts out talking why only William and Tony are S-Tier...
Has Mark also in S-Tier.
Alright, but hear me out, in my head Mark is a flex character. Honestly deserves to be S as a fighter too though, just forgot about him.
Replace catalogue with hunting jacket?
Good suggestion
How do you feel about brute force in him? It's another one use weapon to dig your actual weapons out the discard
