i love that you have it hooked up to the ipad for effects and what not, honestly I need to try and figure this out this year.
Brilliant sound! Thanks for sharing your knowledge so thoroughly and patiently. For an old newbie like me its invaluable 👍🏽
Nigel Rogers Thank you 🙏
Thanks for this video!
I have been trying to sync these units for a week or two now.
You have shown me what I have been missing.
You got my subscription for this creation.
24ppq - that's exactly what I needed. Cheers dude! :D
Very nice patterns!
Thank you! Cheers!
I just ordered a microfreak yesterday! can't wait to have go!
I think you will love it Tony
@@TheSoundTestRoom yeah it seems right up my alley, I think its going to blend well with my set up, also have a Roland sh32 coming too
tony duncan you are going to LOVE the microfreak!!!
MiniBrute 2 is one of the best synths now! I love it. I started to expand it with eurorack and it makes wonders now!
I have just bought a Minibrute 2 as well. What modules did you buy to expand it and did you go for the rackbrute to power/ house them in?
@@bigsby19 I made DIY house with MeanWell RT-65B powersupply. My first modules were ADSR module, another filter, MI clouds (you have to get this), digital morphing oscillator, attenuators, VCA, Pam's new workout. But watch a lot of videos about modules, and decide what is the way you want to go.
oh and MI Tides!
Thanks for the quick reply. It’s quite daunting with so many modules to choose from.
@@bigsby19 yeah! not easy. It takes a lot of time to look around, watching demo videos, etc. But there are a lot of good videos which might help you choose.
Such a dream setup you have here Doug.... drool 🤤 Great video and jam.
Thank you. I have the same set up. Pretty much answered my question. Fun fun fun
Nice Jam Doug.
Great jam, thanks! I have pretty much the same setup and I find it helpful to kick the Drumbrute up a notch (pun intended). A tube drive plugin for the Kick and a light reverb on the rest does wonders. And Ringmodulator for the congas changes them into something totally new.
Would be interesting to know hot to connect them all, especially with the ipad. Can you explain please? Thanks!
Im thinking of getting the freak and a crave, my mates got the brute so connecting them we will be following your instructions just wondered how to us e the ipad in the set up?
Hey, new to synths. Been checking out Roland’s… long story. I keep going back to the minibrute or maybe microbrute…
I’m gonna need a drum
Machine and I assume something like an Arturia drumbrute (impact?) would be a decent idea? Am I wrong?
Anyway… what are the cords I would need to connect the two? Is it easy? Also… is one set of speakers enough? And would they be plugged into the drumbrute or the minibrute? Do you need separate speakers on each?
Great video, thanks for showing how to sync both the minibrute 2 and drumbrute. I was looking for a video like this. 😊
I bought the drumbrute and I was considering to go further and buy a minibrute 2, make some loop and play guitar on top. I borrowed some midi keyboard and launchpad from the local store but seems like a synth like the minibrute 2 is much more fun. My mind works much faster as analog than midi for a reason
Wow, what a nice sound! Great video also. I can‘t wait to sync my gear together as well. Thanks for sharing your experience with us/me. So you‘re clocking them all together using the DrmBrute ask master. The audio signals goes into your Steinberg, right? And, did I get that right, from the audio interface via Midi USB and the camera connection kit into the IPad? That’s so cool...!
Nice video! How did you route/connect the devices to the FX on the iPad?
Another great video..... that drumbrute looks so tempting, but I’m kinda hoping behringer might clone a lindrum.
Good demonstration. How do I jam using headphones? Do the outputs go to an interface, and connect headphones to the interface instead of the microfreak or drumbrute? I don't want to bug the missus at night. Cheers
Loved it. Great jam and also two questions
Your interface has 4 inputs then? And also what is the app you were using to effect the microbrute?
Thanks so much
Maria Calfa-DePaul Hi Maria, the interface is a Steinberg UR44, it has 6 inputs, apart from being a USB Audio interface it’s also a midi interface too, plus it has four outs too, I have a video all about it, just search The Sound Test Room Steinberg UR44.
The App that is applying the Delay to the MiniBrute is the Audio Damage Dubstation 2
I'm trying to do the same thing with my Beat Step Pro and Mini Freak.
Fantastic!
Hallo. Gibt es die Anleitung auch noch zum nachlesen irgendwo? Das wär klasse. Danke und frohes Fest.
I was trying to control the tempo and stop/start on my Minibrute with a Novation Circuit Rhythm but the Circuit was playing notes on the MB, do I have to set up MB to only listen to BPM or do I have to set up circuit to only send BPM? Could not find in manual's MIDI section. Thanks:-)
can’t wait to learn.... how to do ...any of this
Hey. Good video. What de app use?
I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. I have a drumbrute impact & minibrute 2, and for someone reason the clock appears not to be working. I’ve plugged the ts into the out on the drumbrute. Any tips will be greatly appreciated
I don’t have a computer so unsure if that has anything to do with it
on drumbrute impact having trouble follow instructions but the drum brute wont play a pattern and blue light comes on? i had it packed up for 6ix months after i had to move and slowly setting my gear up again
Is it possible to connect a minifreak instead of the microfreak?
Yes that's a part of my setup
I have the drumbrute and the minibrute 2. Just got them. How do you connect the 2 together?
Hi, take a MIDI Out from the MiniBrute 2 and put it into the Midi In on the DrumBrute, then make sure you select MIDI on the Sync Option on the DrumBrute, press PLAY on the MiniBrutes Sequencer, that should be it, if you want the DrumBrute to be the Master Clock, just route the Midi the other way round and make sure you set MIDI in the Sync options on the Minibrute, hope this helps😊
@@TheSoundTestRoom thanks. 😎
@@TheSoundTestRoom darn it. I’m still getting nothing
Sweet
Answer: Connect MIDI cables?
Of course, also USB, however in this video it’s Clock
I didn’t understand any of this lol.
Ha ha me neither will stick to playing my acoustic drums and playing piano/keyboards
