me and my best mate were in our 30s when this was first shown but we knew it was about us, glasgow guys living in housing schemes, shopping at asian shops and drinking in horrible pubs. 20 years later we're closer to jack and victor's age and nothing's changed.
Bet you know an Isa or two as well🤣👍🍻
EB👍great stuff mate, love your reactions to this classic. ✌️🍻
what pubs are left
aye you an yer pal .. couple a weegie neds! 😂😂
Not just Glasgow, it's like this in loads of Scottish cities
My late father introduced me to STILL GAME when it was first on BBC 2 it always brings back fond memories. Has anyone else noticed that some extras play more roles than 1 like the jockey of captain dandy also runs the B&B at finport and the deaf old bastard in the cinema with the sandwiches also gives tam his timeshare
The Jockey isn't actually the same guy as the b&b owner, they sound similar but 2 different actors. You are right though, many do. I think the guy with the sandwiches in the cinema is the same guy that drives Winston and Tam at New year
Big fan of your Still Game reactions. I grew up in Glasgow and this show was a big part of my childhood. I love seeing the writing being appreciated by people outside of Glasgow and Scotland.
Not to be a pain, but maybe on the next episode upload, could you add the recent episodes to your Still Game playlist? It makes it easier to find and catch up. There are only 3 in there right now
Alan's detailed description of how to get dog poo off your shoe shows this isn't his first rodeo😂
I had a similar situation a few years ago. Only it was at a train station, just a few steps away from the public toilets, and it wasn't a dog that left it there.
There's places where you shouldn't have to expect a turd to be, so you don't look for them because you just look ahead at where you're going rather than at your feet at where you're stepping.
@@Steve_P_B Used to see plenty of "Junkie Dumps" around the flats... Lifts and staircases are the worst...
@@thebolsta at least in lifts and staircases there's a kind of logic that it's an enclosed space with some privacy. This was in the middle of a footpath out in the open.
@@Steve_P_B I saw something similar, between 20 and 22 years ago (as I'm fairly sure I was in Sixth Form at the time), in the process of happening...
An indoor market (which they call a shopping centre, even though it is mainly just an indoor market) with entrances on the North-West, South-West, South, and East.
To the right of the East entrance foyer is a free public toilet which can be accessed from the outside of the building, and the inside of the building.
Me and my best mate were heading there for some reason (probably on our way home from school, with a quick look around town, as that's the entrance we would have used if we were), and what do we see...
We saw a man crouched down in the East entrance foyer having a shit, just yards away from the free public toilet which was open practically 24/7, and was open at that time!
Didn't come across this show until 2 years ago. Watched it 9 times now and half way through again. Amazing comedy
Well in that case you'll like to play the extra game there's plenty of extras who play 2 parts like the jockey who also runs the B&B at finport or the dude in the cinema with the sandwiches also gives tam his time share there's loads to spot
These two are very clever, they write these episodes themselves. Explains why every episode they do are always consistently funny. Love Isa, proper gobshite😂
My favourite Scottish comedy, even better than Rab c Nesbit.
I agree. Definitely up there with only fools n horses as my 2 fave
Please keep the still game episodes coming brother they do get better and better
Glad you keeping on Still Game. It is one of those shows that takes a while to get into and for the show itself to really shine. Cheers bro.
Oh god, I do the weird obsessive roll the tea cake foil wrapper into a wee ball thing myself. I thought everyone did it 😅
My absolute favourite episode. Winston's face at the end just floors me every time. Your reaction is brilliant.
Our favourite comedy programme. Funny enough the misses flattens out the tunnocks wrappers but then folds them into tiny squares lol.
Mr Eclectic. Im mightily impressed that you can understand what is being said in Still Game. People in other parts of the United Kingdom would really struggle. As an American , it must be really hard. This is full on working class Glaswegian, a brilliant entertaining lot.
man, i love watching people like yourself on the other side of the world watching still game, as it goes on you will end up addicted to watching it and will always go back to watch your fav episode
1st scene, guy dancing, he's dancing in front of Glasgow city Chambers, which is situated in George Square, the "centre" of Glasgow 😂
Brilliant man. Sooooo happy you are not putting this on rotation as the episodes will get even better soon, though this was excellent. Thanks 😎
KEEP
ON
GOING!!!!!
Love your videos on my favourite show. Great to see the perspective from across the pond, can't wait for the next my dude. Have a blessed one from sunny Glasgow🏴💪🧡
for the record Tunnocks Teacakes are still some of the best sweets around
I can't understand how People didn't know you did a jump cut to the end. It was Obvious to me.
it is obvs.nice pic."i don't want to go"
Interesting note about this: XL Bully Dogs are being banned in the UK now.
Just to show that using the word "soccer" is not wrong because back in the 50s my comic had a section where the word soccer was in common use and i live in England and the comic was English so i guess fashion is a flexible tool, Though the F.A. use the word football. There are photographs of a comic called "Roy of the Rovers" and under the 18p is "The picture paper that is 100% soccer" .
Second only to “only fools” in my book. Every character is brilliant, all played by actors 30yrs younger than their role. Great show mate👍❤️from Liverpool 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧👍
hahahaahahaha at the flattened out teacake wrapper lololololol brilliant!
Yay! Here we go again for another superb reaction, long may you reign. 😍
20 years later and not a week goes by that I don't shout "Sing us a song Kate Bush" at least once 😂
Isa ya bastard part always gets me 😂
You probably don’t hear this much but you have a majestic beard good sir, love the walrus moustache too
Thank you very very much for sticking with it Alan it gets better as you go along I promise you that love to the family mate
Really glad your still game for Still Game! 😊
Still game never gets old 🏴😆👌
Great episode! 😂
I guess that Ned now has a devil dug rug
😅😅😅
Looking forward to the next episode!! Its my favourite!!!
The people trying to remind you that there is always a post credit bit should know which bit that is.
Best ending to anything ever. LOL. Thanks for it Alan. Be well.😉
This was so much fun, thanks EB!
Glad you stuck with it man, thoroughly enjoyed watching it again.👍
Soon as I saw “a finger in her what?” And your face, I had to watch it 😂
Absolutely love your reactions, don't know if anyone has said this yet but up until Seies 5, all the titles are Scots, family meaning family, gairden meaning garden as you worked out, but these change in series 5 as English audiences got hooked and so had to know what the episode would be about, keep it up.
Fit baw ,is what we say in Scotland,, gowbo the big neds wee pal is hilarious, he's in another episode on a golf course, keep an eye out for him, happy healthy peace ✌️
I'm the type to straighten out the foil. I get it from my mum. She fold crisp packets into triangles too... Never figured out how to do that
I actually know the actor that played the crazy doctor, i look after his dog 🤣 He's a really nice guy
Eclectic alan, thats you a season deep with still game. How ya gettin on with the lingo? All best bud 👍🏻🏴
So glad u continued to react to this its such a classic and its great watching your reactions to it also even the bits you dont get cos there so british haha
Trust me, once you hit season 3, Still Game gets even better. Season 3 episodes 2&3 in particular are absolute genius imo
Well chuffed you of all people are reacting to this series, been watching you for years. If you really want to understand the scottish this is the series to watch. Im pretty sure its recommended to refugees to help them get to grips with the lingo
This episode has so many classic moments "People Huvtae Know"
In my top 3 comedy shows of all time...
EB never seen this show before, but I have a feel that is one of those slow burner types, like all the classic comedy shows. Like all good shows, the ending has to be karma! Hah-hah!
Gotta agree, keep going with still game! 🏴
Poor dog. Rotties are lovely dogs when they're not owned by thugs.
Cheers for doing this
You reacted to the finger scene a long time ago
Ah you remember lol
Smell ma fingers!!!
That threw me as you've done a shorty to Stick a Finger, I thought we were on repeats for a moment there.
EDIT, I posted the comment before you realised what was about to happen.
SMELL MA FINGERS gets me every time😂😂😂😂😂im go glad ur now a fan❤❤❤
Chugging is Scottish/Glasgow slang for masterbation (Male) just so you know 😂
King beard of thy great reaction
Soon as I saw the title LOL
Been waiting for this ❤
keep going with it!
Yes glad you stuck with it
Glad you understood the accents, the spelling on the sign in the park in the sky is phonetic.
Another show from Scotland " Rab c Nesbit"
NED = non educated delinquent.
Enjoying you're reactions to this, need to keep firing them out mate!
Forget the new shows for now mate lol stick to still game Derry girls shameless open all hours & porridge you do say on your reactions you live these best shows we do have the best tv lol thank you for your reaction to this mate thank you for your time & response Alan keep the comedy coming & love to the family x
Derry Girls is Patreon only outside of an episode here or there that I decide to put on the channel. I'll be continuing to react to what I currently do but I get burnt out on shows, and so do viewers because the views reflect that. Only shows where views don't go down week to week is Doctor Who and Still Game. They stay consistent. The rest? Not so much. So if I feel the need to rotate or extend out how long before something is on the channel that's exactly what I'll do. Porridge is another Patreon only. That's one just as a teaser of one of the perks of joining is why I put that out but I had to heavily edit that down (more than I wanted).
@@TheEclecticBeard respect ✌️
Series 2 is arguably the best series.
I loved this episode. 👵🇬🇧❤
Football? Soccer? Na min, it's "fittie" (or "fitba'") so it is. To be even more authentic, add a Scottish glottal stop: fi''ie 🏴😁
Great episode
Whens the next mate been looking forward to weekly episodes lol
Tuesday. Took a break last week thanks to the 4th of July and my wife also taking off the next day. So back to normal this week on Tuesday.
Eclectic ,,,you must have a look at ,,, THE FALL AND RISE OF REGNALID PERRIN .
I've watched 3 episodes of it. 2 of them live. Tbh, not sure if I haven't gotten far enough or what but not as big a fan of it as other stuff. It's also one of the shows that's hard to get on here without a fair bit of editing.
Why are kids called wains?
Derived from wee, meaning little, and ane meaning one, wean is a word most commonly used in the West of Scotland to refer to a young child, and is sometimes also spoken as wee yin or 'little one'.
...and Bairns.
Wean with an accent, as in one that's been weaned from maternal feeding
@@bhurzumii4315 bairns is a term used in Newcastle
@@tinamiles9328 Yup, folks in North Yorkshire say it too.
@@bhurzumii4315 iv lived here 20 yrs iv not heard it yet ,maybe its more the older generation
You don't need to apologize for using the word soccer. Do you know where that name came from? **coughoxfordcough**
TIZER!!!!!!!
❤
🙂😂👍
👍😂😂😂❤
Enjoying your reactions but when you talk, could you pause the video 'cos otherwise we miss what they're saying and what you're saying too. Thanks
Mate I like your reactions but if you're gonna talk you might want to pause what you're watching. Sometimes I think you miss stuff because you keep it playing while you talk
❤❤ love this keep it up man they get awesome much love from Scotland
Hiv'nae ssen that yin in donkeys & jist like the first time it flew by like a rabbit oot of a rabbit restrainer. 👍
He disnae know how tae read that ya muppet, wit's the point of it?
What exactly do you restrains rabbits?

Negative lol. Love this show.
