Jacob asks, “What can I do to help.” Wow, that is a mature, sophisticated comment from a four year old. He must be a very smart boy. He’s hurting though. I’m sure he misses what he had before the twins came.
It seems that he’s desperate for some responsibility and to feel involved with the family. He’s trying to get attention by being abusive to his siblings and throwing toilet paper around the house. Babying him and sticking a dummy in his mouth isn’t enough to keep an intelligent engaged.
I don't understand why parents clean up toys instead of making the kids do it. You're just making more work for yourself. If they got it out they can put it back.
Jacob is a really smart and sweet kid. He’s just missing attention and he’s confused. By the way, it’s a big treat to see this UK episode which is one I’ve never seen before.
Amanda…..why would you EVER leave your twins alone with that monster? He’s kill one of them if you continue to do this. He doesn’t do anything you say, so why do you do this??? Unbelievable
I like the idea of giving children the opportunity of telling the truth you know without telling off it’s just a good idea to give the kids a chance to tell the truth.
I know Mom has her hands full but it's really unfair to the dad that he has to be the bad guy cuz mom won't do it. Jacob responds well to praise and helping.
Ahhh, the box of tissues. Like playing with the box the toy was packed in on Christmas morning, rather than the actual toy, lol! It took me quite a few tissue boxes until I realized that $0.79 to entertain one of my kids for 20-30 mins whilst I dealt with another kid was money well spent!!
EPISODE RECAP: Jacob Charles used to be well-behaved. However, once twins Max and Isabelle were born, Jacob became out of control and is very jealous of them. Amanda doesn't do much about the behaviour, however Kevin deals with his son in a more intense, occasionally physical way. The parents constantly argue as a result. Bedtime for all three kids is a nightmare waiting to happen. The parents have no time by themselves because Jacob will climb out of bed several times a night with multiple excuses to be in bed with Amanda. In the end, not only is Kevin left feeling like no one's listening to him, the twins wake up from the chaos. By the time morning strikes, all five members are normally in the same bed.
"Why can't we just do the warnings?" Oh the stuff you were supposed to be doing the whole time Amanda? If she had been consistent it wouldn't have escalated.
WOW…I would be surprised if these parents are still together. One thing that really got me, when they were having the discussion over Jacob’s lying, Dad was ready to punish him for lying, Mom was explaining what they might tell the boy about how it was wrong, however NEITHER ONE OF THEM COULD SAY THE WORDS (or something like them) Lying is wrong, (personally I live by lying is a sin, but a lot of people are too scared to say that or teach that, let alone LIVE IT. But they couldn’t even make the argument about how it destroys, and the list goes on. Character traits like that are things that need to be engrained in our children from the earliest. And BTW, why does this 4 yr old still have a binky?
Jacob has an evil heart. He shows his true behavior when a parent walks away. He/his behavior is always this side of evil. He’s just nothing but a crybaby. The only reason why he got sick is because he brought it up himself. So, just allowing him to do things on his own just isn’t going to happen. That kid is nothing but a monster.
Kids that get overwhelmed easily, and throw up. Usually stems from severe emotional trauma or neglect Speaking from childhood experience....and its so obvious Kevin doesn't enjoy being a father
Parental Meeting: Jo discusses the difference between the two and how it's impacting their children. She scolds Kevin on not listening to Jacob. At that, the couple is about to have an argument when Jo stops them. She discusses the twins. She believes they're kept in reach of their parents so they don't make things worse when they have to deal with Jacob. She believes that once the twins were born, things changed for Jacob. She hopes she can help the couple become happier.
I think so, too. He really wanted and needed some one on one time with dad. Maybe they get a sitter for the twins and both parents take Jacob to a movie. He might not be so mean to the babies. Btw, I would have never left him alone with those babies ever. He was so jealous of them for taking all the attention from mom.
Reinforcement: Jo helps the family come back together with an exercise where Jacob be given the opportunity to tell the truth. Jo sets up a monitor in the play room where all three children are playing. Jacob pushes Max and hits Isabelle. The adults look at a camera but Jo has the parents pretend they didn't see anything so Jacob can be honest. The adults come to the play room where the children are. Initially Jacob says the twins were pushing each other but Jo encourages him to tell the truth. 4 minutes later, Jacob admits he pushed Isabelle. Jo thanks him for his honesty. After the incident, Kevin and Amanda sit together to discuss what happened and what Kevin has learned. Amanda is happy that he realizes his mistake. Seeing that Father and son need more time together, Jo instructs Kevin to do more with his son. At the playground, Jo has Kevin praise Jacob for the good things he's doing. Kevin and Jacob go to an indoor amusement park and spend time together as father and son. That afternoon, once again, Jacob's friends come round for a paddling pool party. It wasn't long before Jacob kicks off and tries to push a chair over with a friend it. After a warning, Jacob throws a ball at the same friend and a confident Amanda sends Jacob to the Naughty Room. 5 minutes later, Jacob turns it around and plays nicely with the other children. Before Jo leaves for good, Jacob and the twins bond over duck feeding. Jo then says goodbye to the family and Jacob says he will miss Jo.
To all commentors here, it is really easy to see from the outside what's wrong or what should be done but stucking in the situation over tired and stressed out , it is a completely differant story.
12:39 get him some soft LED light or nightlight. Also, I can tell Jacob is a big Pixar fan, I hope he kept that into adulthood. honestly, if he has trouble sleeping, I would get him some melatonin, a white noise machine, and soft LED lights.
This is only because these are her very first episodes ever. She perfected her methods a bit got a little bit tougher or confident as the years went by with her Supernanny episodes both in the UK and in the USA.
Wow, why bother even calling in Suppernanny if you're not going to listen! I don't get these ppl at all. Right away, this mother stops listening as soon as she leaves. The father is hash, yes , at least he is trying to do something about it
Family Update A month later, the children are much happier and they're playing better together. Even though Jacob tries sometimes, he has a better relationship with his parents especially Kevin. Amanda admits she has made empty threats to the kids but never follows through and had Kevin to handle the discipline. Now both parents are equally strong and they're less stressed. The episode ends with the family playing Ring around the Rosy.
Teaching: To begin with, the couple gets a routine that gives them time for each child. Once she finishes, it's time to get the children ready for bed. Rather than scold Jacob and force him to hang out by himself, Jo suggests Amanda tries getting him involved with the twins so he can feel special too. He loves it and is eager to help his Mum. After a successful bath time, it's time to get the twins and Jacob ready for story time. Kevin agrees to bond with the twins and read to them before bed. The children situate themselves and calm down so they can get rewarded. However, it's not peaceful for much longer. Jacob soon cries over Jo's new rule to switch the lights off. Jo pulls Kevin aside and encouraged him to put his son back to bed. He agrees and carries him to bed successfully. Once he learns about not being able to sleep with Amanda though, he's upset about another thing. Kevin and Amanda are given further instructions about bedtime. Soon, he wakes Kevin up again and he's about to be taken back to bed when he gets sick leaving his concerned Mother to watch on. They walk upstairs where Jacob cries about not sleeping in his parents bed. However, once he's calmed down, he's taken to his bed. Later on, Jacob screams for his dad again but is taken to his bed. Soon, he falls asleep but he's woken his sister up. Jo improvises the technique for the twins and with her help, she goes back to sleep. Soon, Max wakes up and he's harder to get back to sleep. Through the baby monitor, the parents listen to him and the three develop a further plan. Kevin and Amanda are to look at their tummy, cover them back up, and whisper "shhh." When he's calmed down, all three children fall asleep. Ten minutes later though, he's back up and Amanda does the same. However this time, he stays up for more than a half hour and Amanda has to go in five times. Amanda feels sorry for her son. She blames it on herself that he has had such a hard time falling asleep. However, she keeps at it. By the time midnight rolls around, all three kids are finally asleep. Jo sits with the parents and praises them for their efforts. In the morning, it's time to tackle Jacob's behaviour. Jo introduces the discipline system and she explains Jacob will be sent to the spare room which now will be called the Naughty Room. It isn't long before Jacob kicks off and won't listen to Amanda when he's told to not play around the fire guard. Amanda struggles to walk away and leave him alone so Jo steps in and sends Jacob to the Naughty room. Once he's sat down, it's time for Jo to go over the steps. Half an hour after his first time out, he's took in the room again for not putting on his trousers on when he's outside. However, she still struggles so once again, Jo steps in. To give Amanda the opportunity to perfect the timeout, she steps aside so she can deal with him. After 3 times total of the Naughty Room used and an apology, Jacob settles down and he sits down to do some colouring and Amanda spends time with the twins. On day five, Amanda is sent away so that she can trust her husband with her kids. Kevin does his best to not get frustrated when Jacob tries to interrupt him when he tries to change nappies, but Kevin has Jacob help him and he does really well. Instead of praising Jacob for helping the twins, Kevin gives him an order and sends him to Naughty Room. Jo confronts Kevin about his behaviour with his son and how he should've handled it. She decides she wants to help him figure out ways to defuse situations before they get too extreme. Kevin slams the door in her face in anger. Instead of getting frustrated, she helps him bond more with his son so his wife can trust him to do things like this more often. The two count, ride bikes, and go to the park with the twins together. He even reads him a book. Amanda seems impressed by the change as she irons and she watches the two laugh.
OBSERVATION: Right after Jo meets the family, she sees exactly how Jacob treats the twins when he kicks Isabelle. After Jacob is left by himself, he shows Jo how he steals from his sister and knocks her over. Later on, Max cries for his mum's attention where she opens up that she hates that cry. While Amanda is busy, Jacob decides it's his turn to try to get her attention by grabbing toilet paper and teepeeing the house. Once again, she shrugs off the behaviour and says that if Kevin were home, he would be in even more trouble than he was in the moment. Jo sees the difference when Kevin does get home. Jacob messes around and gets put on the couch and scolded for his behavior. After refusing to apologize, he gets taken to his room. Even when he does give in, he gets told off that it was too late. He cries in his room annoyed that he got disciplined even when he admitted he did something wrong. Jo and Kevin talk and he admits he hates it when his son disrespects his Mom the way he does.
It’s been a long time since I seen this episode!!! I’ve been wanting to watch this again for years!!! Also at 20:16 when I was a kid I actually thought she said “Do not stand on mummy’s toe!!”, but no she said “Do not stand on mummy’s foot”. Is it just me or did I have a Mandela effect 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for uploading it!!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻☺️☺️☺️
No disrespect as hats off to the mom's and dads of this world......but....boy am glad I have my dogs. Natural affinity with doggos all my life, much easier to train😂😂❤❤
41:40 you can clearly see here the father doesn’t take any of this seriously and thinks Jo’s teachings are a waste of time. Shaking his head as she demonstrates how to handle a 4yo telling a lie. Honestly smh at this man.
Dads putting Jacob in his room all of the time so he doesn’t have to deal with him. And they need to stop calling him Naughty Boy when they put him in time out. Telling him to behave better is one thing. But if you keep telling your child they are something then they might try and live up to that title down the road. And I love how Jo is in a very British looking car when in America but when in England it’s an American looking soccer mom van. Haha
"Life has been tough for the Charles family since the birth of their twins 15 months ago Their once well-behaved four year old Jacob now lashes out at his younger siblings, and worse still, mum Amanda and dad Kevin are at loggerheads about how to manage their three under-fives. The twins cry continuously, Jacob demands constant attention and the parents haven’t had an uninterrupted night's sleep in years. Luckily for the family, twins are Supernanny’s speciality, but will it all be plain sailing? First the problem of sleepless nights needs to be addressed, and then Jacob's jealousy of the twins has to be sorted out. But the toughest battle of all is getting Amanda and Kevin working together more closely and practicing the same approach to childcare. In this third and final film, does the challenge prove too much for Supernanny?" - Supernanny Website
Take away his light and close the door. Just gradually lower the light and don't close the door coming. Behavior doesn't change automatically. Jacob asked if he could have his light on. Jo doesn't know the massage technique.
Family Test Run/Parent Evaluation Clip One: Kevin and Amanda follow the family routine perfectly making time for all of the kids including the twins. Kevin and Jacob have fun at bath-time and his wife does story time. This time, everyone falls asleep perfectly amused with their day. Clip Two: The next day, it's a different story. Amanda has started to slip and is running an hour behind. Jacob refuses to get dressed. When he gives her attitude, she gives him a warning. Where she messes up though is even after a half hour, she still hasn't followed through causing her son to get more and more destructive. In the end, she realizes that she messed up and that she's not doing the best she can. Clip 3: The kids play together at play time. Isabelle gets pushed to the floor. This time, Amanda does the best she can to fix her previous mistakes. However, it's just a game for a kid his age. When he does get in the room, he sneaks outside and she finds him at his play-tent. She tries to get him inside laying down the law the best she can. Amanda takes him back inside for five minutes, She admits he probably thought she was joking with him. Clip 4: Kevin greets Jacob when he walks in the door. It isn't long before Jacob kicks off. After he acts up again, Kevin follows through perfectly with the Naughty Room. However, he's in there even longer than expected. Kevin realizes what he did and hugs his son. Clip 5: Jacob refuses to get undressed at bath time. Once again, Amanda only shouts at him but she doesn't use the Naughty Room. Kevin steps in and he listens to him leaving Amanda frustrated. Clip 6: Kevin confronts his wife for not doing the technique. She admits she thought it would be way easier. Clip 7: When Jacob has friends over, he bullies his friend who is 3 and Amanda is left embarrassed but doesn't even give him a warning. Amanda is really struggling when her frustration becomes too much. Clip 8: Jacob continues kicking off and putting his family behind their day as Max makes a mess. Amanda tries to get him to leave her alone but he refuses. 'Clip 9: The couple argue after the children haven't been bathed yet. Clip 10: Jacob lies for something, Kevin tells him and punishes him regardless if he did it or not. Clip 11: The couple argue again, this time it was more hostile.
the parents don't understand that you can't just yell or punish, you have to teach them what is the right behavior. i don't blame the kid for his behavior; he has never been actually taught. the mother yells; the father grabs him roughly and throws him into a room. they don't list to Jo, who is teaching them. as is usually the case, it's the parents who need to be disciplined more than the kids
I think that's what happens when teachers report to the parents that the children are perfectly behaved in the classroom. The parents are completely lost because their home life is chaos. Parents can't depend on teachers to supply discipline. I has to start at home.
@@kathleenpapaleo253 four is nothing. He is a small child who doesn't get the right attention from his parents. Stop blaming children for poor parenting. And no he doesn't need to grow up. He needs to enjoy being a child.
I’m glad that all the uk episodes are finally getting on UA-cam and are easier to find then they used to be.
I have already watched the first and was able to find more episodes
After that first night, Dad going "My wife rocks!" Was so geniune and sweet!!
Finally we got the UK version of Supernanny on UA-cam way to go.
Jacob asks, “What can I do to help.” Wow, that is a mature, sophisticated comment from a four year old. He must be a very smart boy. He’s hurting though. I’m sure he misses what he had before the twins came.
Agree, he also needs to lose the binky, he's four but acts much younger.
It seems that he’s desperate for some responsibility and to feel involved with the family. He’s trying to get attention by being abusive to his siblings and throwing toilet paper around the house. Babying him and sticking a dummy in his mouth isn’t enough to keep an intelligent engaged.

I think Kevin is 100% correct
Did these kids turn out fine? Are these parents still together? I'm having a hard time finding an update on this family.
I like the idea of giving children the opportunity of telling the truth you know without telling off it’s just a good idea to give the kids a chance to tell the truth.

He needs his mom and dad to do the discipline

He hurt Mom’s foot?? How about when he bashed the baby into the wall? Wow, he needs so hard discipline.
For real!
This episode feels so real, not all fine and rosy after short time with supernanny but parents on a good track and sometimes they slip - just life.
This is why premarital counseling is so important. It sorts out parenting styles before you have kids.

They don't have an intimate moment together. Good.. or there would be more kids they can't handle
I think the father is a jerk with no time for Jacob
It's so funny when people in the uk argue. It never sounds that serious.
"Why can't we just do the warnings?" Oh the stuff you were supposed to be doing the whole time Amanda? If she had been consistent it wouldn't have escalated.
Amanda flipped off Dad when she walked away. Amanda, how about taking that energy and put it towards Jacob. He needs some strong efforts.

Hopefully every single uk episode will be on UA-cam.
I don't believe that Jacob got run out of the Naughty Room and has a Sliding door.
12:19 toy story and finding nemo easter egg
The dad saying “ bothered” like he was a teenager😂
How immature can you be
He sounds more Welsh to me 🤷♀️
It’s been a long time since I seen this episode!!! I’ve been wanting to watch this again for years!!!
Also at 20:16 when I was a kid I actually thought she said “Do not stand on mummy’s toe!!”, but no she said “Do not stand on mummy’s foot”. Is it just me or did I have a Mandela effect 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for uploading it!!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻☺️☺️☺️
Why is a 4 year old left alone with his younger siblings
Especially when Jacob is so dangerous.

4 year old Jacob shoves Isabelle down outside through the door😮
I worry the twins were permanently harmed by the older brother!
Jacob doesn't seem to like making eye contact !
Yeah, keeping a crying baby in the same room as a crying toddler was a good idea, wasn’t it, Jo. What did you think was going to happen?
Jo’s regimen - not regime. 😜
No please don't kill any birds Joe.
This is 1st Time ever Watching S01E03

No disrespect as hats off to the mom's and dads of this world......but....boy am glad I have my dogs. Natural affinity with doggos all my life, much easier to train😂😂❤❤
41:40 you can clearly see here the father doesn’t take any of this seriously and thinks Jo’s teachings are a waste of time. Shaking his head as she demonstrates how to handle a 4yo telling a lie. Honestly smh at this man.
We need another episode here!
Keep it up Supernanny UK bring it on!
That was without crying.

Couldn’t agree more 👌🏻
Welch folge komt als nächtes
I lied because of I scared the punishment, even after grew up I tried to hide if I make mistakes.Ghost is my behind.
Omg I love watching these videos but the common theme is COMMON SENSE listen to the techniques because they WORK only people to blame are the parents
Family Test Run/Parent Evaluation
Clip One: Kevin and Amanda follow the family routine perfectly making time for all of the kids including the twins.
So happy some of the uk episodes are on UA-cam. Not sure I’ve seen this one
the parents don't understand that you can't just yell or punish, you have to teach them what is the right behavior. i don't blame the kid for his behavior; he has never been actually taught. the mother yells; the father grabs him roughly and throws him into a room. they don't list to Jo, who is teaching them. as is usually the case, it's the parents who need to be disciplined more than the kids
Looks like a sibling rivalry
It’s the return of “The Chaser’s War On Everything” in 2025 !!!!!!!
Jacob could go too nursery would do him good with other children and discipline
I think that's what happens when teachers report to the parents that the children are perfectly behaved in the classroom. The parents are completely lost because their home life is chaos. Parents can't depend on teachers to supply discipline. I has to start at home.
Agreed. Jacob needs to grow up. He's 4. And acting like a baby. School will engage him in learning
@@kathleenpapaleo253 He also wasn't given good attention because his parents spend time with his sibs so he demanded attention
@@kathleenpapaleo253 four is nothing. He is a small child who doesn't get the right attention from his parents. Stop blaming children for poor parenting. And no he doesn't need to grow up. He needs to enjoy being a child.
