Just seen this vid but can you tell me what bait you where using to catch the cats got a 20 on a pellet but that's it other than that a 26lb mirror and 25 common...
James Champ I was using Mad baits Pandemic, it's fishmeal based. Tbf the cats will eat anything!
What poundage line were you guys using as I was planning on coming there for a few days
Matt Lane changed to 16lb synchro and used grinner knots. The perfection loop and blood knots I’ve always used for carp were letting go. You have to hold the cats hard because of the islands, the more water in front of you the better. I had never caught cats before and learnt as I went, the line was going at the swivel because of the knots I was using, enjoy your time there.

cookinandcarpin if you looked at the rules is says minimum of a 40lb hook link just goes to show that rules mean nothing to you as you wouldn’t of lost any of those cats and why did you fish the runs water of the complex for a week 😂😂 your struggling with your 12foot rods while everything you caught and lost I could bag on a 6foot sawn off but hey you know best me noddy

Great vid. I'm hoping to fish paddock this year. What breaking strain mainline did you up to in the end? I'm going for carp but with your experience am expecting to either blank or catch cats
I ended up on 16lb synchro. You need some open water to land the cats imho especially in August. But windows will happen when the carp get there first.
