Am from Enugu and how you said is how it's in our culture, and again far away land can only be selled when the land doesn't generation enough family revenue or unexpected issue came up which we ve no other choice but to sell it
Guy, I love your analysis but the truth is that igbo doesn't sell land to an outsider and foreigners.....they don't sell land for other tribe to build house for a leaving.....
Are you even reasonable, or you just love lying,go to igbo land and see many yoruba's who own landed properties,or you want the Igbo to start selling lands that belong to the community,Abati is a big fool, some Yoruba are landlords in Igbo land.
Even Reuben abati, acknowledged the land in question was ANA UMUNNA, there are three types of land in igbo culture, ANA UMUNNA (Land of children of a father) has a spiritual attachment, ANA OBODO (Community Land) and ANA UGBO (Farm Land) while ANA UMUNNA cannot be sold because it's generational and ancestral, the other two can be leased or sold
Anyway no body see theire ancestral land ...my grandfather great-grandfather buried inside the houses and arround the house how can i go and sell it 😂😂..

With all his explanations you still don't gets it. Including using Ibadan as examples . Of course those who are tribal bigotry and full of hate like Ruben Abati wouldn't be interested listen to eny one except themselves.
This video has more clarity and cleared lots of misconceptions. Kudos.
Nobody will complain about a land that is not for sale. I will not explain
That man's lying. Plus why didn't the man go to somewhere in town to buy a property?

Don't mind Reuben Abatti. He's always giving bad name to AriseTV. I don't even know how his wife puts up with him. He' has a an irritating reputation.
Ibadan which you used as an example is not true. CAPITAL FALSE
