My dad, in the 1960's back in Dublin, owned a Morris Oxford (black) followed by a British Racing Green MG Magnette. As a 10yr old, I LOVED to wash & polish both to a shine, and boy did those chrome bumpers shine! I even learned how to tune the dual SU carburetors. Remember how much engine room there was back then! There was no alternator, only a two-wire generator, Lucas, if memory serves me. The boot was huge & cross-ply tires & drum brakes made for interesting cornering. They don't make them like they used to!
Saved up to buy one (blue/dark blue}, in 1964, loved it , cost me £375. Ran it for 4 yrs untill managed to crash it into a bridge wall in Chester, Ah well.
She is gorgeous !!
Rare even in 1970 one in a million
