Obviously not very educated...Who you think is going to pay for all the law enforcement babysitting them up there? Where do you think the money is going to come from? The state is broke. That’s tax money that they will use on babysitting instead of on Hawaii’s kids, parks, infrastructure, programs, you name it... these bums are going to cost taxpayers 4 million dollars because what? There’s already 12 telescopes up there. Building this one’s supposed to generate revenue for the state. Instead these dummies racking up a 4 million dollar bill for babysitting.

But Hawaiians gotta come like they come with disrespect and disregard for there wants n needs what are they going to do arrest all of us or shoot us down n kill us all ? I personally believe the TMT should be build elsewhere for many reasons. But I’ll say this. This accusation of ‘desecration’ of the Ahu built in 2015 is dishonest. The 2011 permit was invalidated in 2014. So you ran up and quickly built a ‘ sacred’ Ahu on the site knowing the process was started over again (Brownie points to you though for quick thinking) but that kind of political move doesn’t work so much anymore. There are differences between the Hawaiian people who built these 200 years ago, 300 years ago or 500 years ago and your classy 2015 move.
Whatever happens. I wish you the best.

Ok point about modern Hawaiians "not being taken seriously by law enforcement". But he must understand the State goes by "officialized and legally established entities and items". Hawaiians would have been wise to make Hawaiian Spiritual beliefs an official religion at all levels, domestic and internationally recognized. Like Hinduism. Brother needed to make the point in this video that; how can the State validate modern Hawaiians in laws regarding land, homestead, social funding, schools etc, and not in this case? The reason is that a 2014 heau has no official designation (while the 400 year old ones are archeological sites)... so there are no ways of referring to those newer heaus inclusively in the overall system of the State.
Dane Ta Tua Tonka, I know you think your brother is very well educated. He does obviously know a lot of things. But what Hawaiian activists need to learn better for their activities to succeed is, what is making possible legally that the police and the state are able to perpetrate like this? Where are the open doors and undefined fields? What are the loopholes? ... Then they would have a course of action about things, a plan for items that need to quickly get done, so that legally they are not able to continue doing these things. Then they will see that THAT is where the real hard and difficult wall to overcome is. Institutions know very well where the power is. 'THEY' ARE NOT GOING TO TELL YOU WHAT THOSE ITEMS ARE, ALTHOUGH THEY KNOW VERY VERY WELL WHAT THEY ARE, BECAUSE BACK "AT THE OFFICE" THAT IS PRECISELY WHAT THEY TALK ABOUT IN ORDER TO KNOW HOW TO GET AWAY WITH THESE THINGS.
(* "... for safety reasons" lol Right! Brother please!! ... They were there to keep people from coming in. Each day American institutions are learning to lie better and better)

@@The.Hawaiian.Kingdom I explained how. But I guess you haven't detracted what I'm trying to say.
The world is not run by ideals, just (justice) notions or values, unfortunately. It just is not run that way. WE 'SHOULD' be a humanistic world of sound understanding of the nature of our species, and run by the vales and principals thereof, but we are not. We merely talk about it and pretend our "recorded reality" is built by them. Ideals, morals, and values... feelings and intuition are all part of the "living reality". (The relationship between these two existential spheres, "recorded" and "living" realities, are what ultimately builds and runs the world) Our thoughts in the "living reality" are what generate what we will think is what we are supposed to think and become "recorded reality", like the law for example. We then give "recorded reality" the power and authority to run the world (Sciences, Math, Law, Government, rules etc). This is how civilization has always been, by our own natural agreement. The Hawaiians too did this through their Kapu, and handed down stories that taught people how to think. Right? We have always coexisted "livingly" in relation to our "recorded reality" we also create, and always have given it the power and authority over us. We have never known a different civilization. SO: If we want to change something in the law, meaning in "recorded reality", we necessarily would end up struggling a lot if we try to do it through values and passions first, meaning through "living reality" first. Although values and passions are what first made "recorded reality", we must first address the recorded or written reality in order to have our reasons acknowledged. Once we establish that conversation and engage those who hold the authority of the established "recorded reality" we may encounter their curiosity as to for what are the values principals and passions that form the substance of our proposed changes to the recorded reality. But you can't start by pushing the carriage in front of the mule. ... That's all I'm saying. Protesting on site is all very well and symbolic. But what needs to be done are changes in the hard line area of things. You have to get in their soup and play the language of their field of authority. Because the guns, the power to shoot them, and the jails are in more ignorant sphere of "recorded reality" as we well know in America, which does not know how to change by itself, yet it does not abide by the sphere of that what has generated it either, the "living reality". Recorded Reality is like a king or a President condemned to a tower of solitude no one can reach except people from his court, and yet he retains the power to govern.

Thank you for those Perfect examples explained?
Here are some questions that might help raise awareness:
What kind of opposing forces will be needed?
Do youthful support sound more righteous?
How come the movement is taking so long to explain the love that’s worth fighting for?, and from both peaceful sides of humanity confidence?
If it’s war we have too prove instead?, who only is going to be involved only?
One a side note I respect how that Hawaiian representative is a younger Hawaiian exampled and is willing to question truth and fair righteousness standards of judgement tegrity,, and he is still leading the way in competence confidance?
What I thought, he is claiming in the video example is very valid, so can love find enough bravery liberty to aim on our own life lessons of such a convergence of culture shock and
    dis-clashing generosity/hope?
Is there enough open mindedness to prevent war from happening properly?
How can humanity pride be updated and undeath-helpetive?
Do other lovers need specific questions to seek the order of majestration?
Can we remember the spate of qualified proproval convertment?
Can open honesty respected help expose undis-functioning glory?
Why is there such spiritual numbness from outside people?
Please tell me if I need awakening?
I don’t even know that Hawaiian but he sounds worthy enough to correlate with and help prove the differences of clarity!?!

They are beliefs in your head based on where you were born,
how you were raised and who influenced / indoctrinated you. Simply having religious
or spiritual beliefs does not make them true or obligate others to understand or respect them.
Most objective rational thinking people stop explaining themselves when they realize people
only understand from their level of perception. If it does Not fit in their
belief system they will have nothing to do with it, hence keeping their minds closed and their comfort zone intact.
Anything that challenges their thinking is automatically rejected thus adding to the ignorance.

Not supporting science is a mistake. I dont disagree that Hawaiian culture needs protecting and supporting. I just think opposing a science project for all humanity in a place of no economic value to the Hawaiian people is totally wrong and missing the whole point of protecting Hawaiian culture. Its demanding other cultures do it for Hawaiians because 'reasons' instead of Hawaiians creating space for their culture rationally, within a protective framework of MODERN Hawaiians that can push back economically and socially from a position of equality, not demand space like teenagers. Tribe of uncontacted natives on an island is not a viable vision for the future of Hawaiian culture. Zero change is not a viable vision. There has to be adaptation to other cultures pressure by any culture if it is to survive. Global science community has been a friend to many native cultures, global corporate culture not so much, pick your path I guess but it seems obvious as to being able to work with and be respected by the scientific community versus the trolls that support your outrage but offer no path forward for Hawaiian traditions and culture and like the idea of it being historical instead of competitive.

As to worship go and worship all I’m saying if you build a structure there is a process that we as citizens are required to complete. I don’t have a problem with that most people don’t either. There’s reasons why a building permit is needed.
And another thing this reminds me of children and toys. When a kid is alone they don’t play with a certain toy but when another kid plays with it all of a sudden kid 1 cries that’s mine. I bet if I bought a piece of land nobody wanted 1 acre in the middle of a 100 year old lava field and struck oil worth billions and then bought a 1000 acres around me the same would happen to me. The land would go from Zero to Sacred in 4.2 seconds.

    ISLAND OF OAHU,
    HONOLULU, Jan. 24, 1895.
TO THE HON. SANFORD BALLARD DOLE, President of the Republic of Hawaii:
    SIR: --
THE ABDICATION LETTER AND THE OATH OF LOYALTY, BOTH PERSONALLY SIGNED BY LILIUOKALANI IN THE PRESENCE OF HER FAMILY AND LAWYERS, ARE AVAILABLE IN THE ARCHIVES OF THE STATE OF HAWAII.
    :
After full and free consultation with my personal friends and with my legal advisors and acting in conformity with their advice, and also upon my own free volition, and in pursuance of my unalterable belief and understanding of my duty to the people of Hawaii, and to their highest and best interests, and also for the sake of those misguided Hawaiians and others who have recently engaged in rebellion against the Republic, and in an attempt to restore me to the position of queen, which I held prior to the 17th day of January, A. D. 1893, and without any claim that shall become entitled, by reason of anything that I may now say or do, to any other or different treatment or consideration at the hands of the Government than I otherwise could and might legally receive, I now desire to express and make known, and do hereby express and make known, to yourself, as the only lawful and recognized head of the Government, and to all the people of the Hawaiian Islands, whether or not they have yet become citizens of the Republic, or are or have been adherents of the late monarchy, and also to all diplomatic and other foreign representatives in the Hawaiian Islands, to all of whom I respectfully request you to cause this statement and action of mine to be made known as soon as may be, as follows, namely:
First. In order to avoid any possibility of doubt or misunderstanding although I do not think that any doubt or misunderstanding is either proper or possible, I hereby do fully and unequivocally admit and declare that the Government of the Republic of Hawaii is the only lawful Government of the Hawaiian Islands, and that the late Hawaiian monarchy is finally and forever ended, and no longer of any legal or actual validity, force or effect whatsoever; and I do hereby forever absolve all persons whomsoever, whether in the Hawaiian Islands or elsewhere, from all and every manner of allegiance, or official obligation or duty, to me and my heirs and successors forever, and I hereby declare to all such persons in the Hawaiian Islands that I consider them as bound in duty and honor henceforth to support and sustain the Government of the Republic of Hawaii.
Second. For myself, my heirs and successors, I do hereby and without any mental reservation or modification, and fully, finally, unequivocally, irrevocably, and forever abdicate, renounce and release unto the Government of the Republic of Hawaii and the legitimate successors forever all claims or pretensions whatsoever to the late throne of Hawaii, or to the late monarchy of Hawaii, or to any past, or to the existing, or to any future Government of Hawaii, or under or by reason of any present or formerly existing constitution, statute, law, position, right or claim of any and every kind, name or nature whatsoever, and whether the same consist of pecuniary or property considerations, or of personal status, hereby forever renouncing, disowning and disclaiming all rights, claims, demands, privileges, honors, emoluments, titles and prerogatives whatsoever, under or by virtue of any former, or the existing Government, constitution, statute, law or custom of the Hawaiian Islands whatsoever, save and excepting only such rights and privileges as belong to me in common with all private citizens of, or residents in the Republic of Hawaii.
Third. I do hereby respectfully implore for such misguided Hawaiians and others as have been concerned in the late rebellion against the Republic of Hawaii, such degree of executive clemency as the Government may deem to be consistent with its duty to the community, and such as a due regard for its violated laws may permit.
Fourth. It is my sincere desire henceforth to live in absolute privacy and retirement from all publicity, or even appearance of being concerned in the public affairs of the Hawaiian Islands, further than to express, as I now do and shall always continue to do, my most sincere hope for the welfare and prosperity of its people, under and subject to the Government of the Republic of Hawaii.
Fifth. I hereby offer and present my duly certified oath of allegiance to the Republic of Hawaii.
Sixth. I have caused the foregoing statement to be prepared and drawn, and have signed the same without having received the slightest suggestion from the President of Hawaii, or from any member of the Government of Hawaii, concerning the same or any part thereof, or concerning any action or course of my own in the premises.
Relying upon the magnanimity of the Government of the Republic, and upon its protection.
I have the honor to be, Mr. President,
    Very respectfully,
    Your most obedient servant,
    (Signed) LILIUOKALANI DOMINIS.

Imagine the Hawaiians are given back the land, established a Kingdom and the US government fully withdrew as what most want. That would leave us defensless to countries, communist countries like China, Russia, etc who would then try to overthrow the Hawaiian Monarch. Because most of them are liars and crooks that support their own parties agenda's. Can't trust any of them! Why vote? We voted too ban GMOs and Monsanto out but yet they didn't leave yet. Corruption

It's a big mauna, so get a building permit to put a proper chapel up there but somewhere else on it. The observatory deal is done. Move on.

@@The.Hawaiian.Kingdom Based on my observations, is there ANY part of the islands that are not 'sacred' ? It seems that every time anyone wants to build anything on any part of any island, there is always some natavist who comes and howls that the construction is going to desacrate something ... I know one of the biggest problems on the islands is a lack of low income housing ... how are you going to handle that problem if every time a housing developement is planned you got natavists protesting ? and the same goes for businesses that would create jobs ? you can't have it both ways. Not everyone wants to be poor and live in a tent or a shack. And I question the guys who build these plywood and corregated metal sheds and then call it 'cultural' ... since when did the ancient Hawaiians have plywood and corregated metal sheeting to build anything ? I am as interested in preserving the botanical, fish, and wildlife beauty as anyone, but people need housing, and businesses need to operate without constant interference. Mauna Kea already has 13 observatories, so protesting another is pointless, and frankly, from a distance you can't even see them. Thank God there are no fast food restaurants up there, and the aim is to study the universe created by the Great Creator God. There is nothing unholy in that. How about swtiching your efforts to make sure Mauna Loa does not become a dump instead ?

@@The.Hawaiian.Kingdom LOL I am doing no such thing so don't be self serving or paranoid, in point of fact I have not discussed my beliefs in any detail so don't make assumptions, but instead, your whole movement falsely believes that everyone who is not of Hawaiian ancestry has to bow to YOUR beliefs ? that is your assumption, and it is wrong, because you only represent about 20 % of the population. Face facts, the world is changing as is Hawaii, and yours is no longer the dominant culture on the islands. Your Governor is Japanese, and the Mayor of the Big Island is Korean. The largest religion is Christianity, and even many Hawaiians have embraced a more modern lifestyle and no longer wish to live as primitives or practice the old ways. Adapt, adopt, survive my friend, or go extinct like the Dodo bird. It's your choice.
Frankly, there are many aspects of Hawaiian culture I like, and it does make for interests for the tourists. I would hate to see the average town become like so many mainland towns ... one strip mall after another with franchise stores and food vendors. Yuck. But stop thinking your culture is so superior to any other. It's not. And it does not make you any more moral than anyone else. I swear at heart, you natavists are nothing but bigots.

@@The.Hawaiian.Kingdom My my, of the two of us, you by far have the most bigoted and ignorant views. And you are a liar. The intent of you natavists has always been to interfere with modern progress and forstall any tech development at the expense of the rest of those that live on the island that do not share your primitive ways. Every time you use the word 'haole' you are being an anti-white racist pig. Face it, when the first of you took weapons from the British to subdue the other chiefs, you opened the door to imperialism. Your king liked to wear British military uniforms. He acted as your agent, and yet you all glorify him ! LOL !!! and none of the intrigues of his court or those that followed allowed for your 'rights'.
Your intent on the Mt. was to stop the building of another observatory, it had nothing to do with your right to practice your religion. You are a lying pig and not worth discussing issues with. The Mt. is governed by law. Like I said, get a permit and do your thing without obstructing progress on the islands that the rest want and is good for the people as a whole. You are in the minority now on the islands, get used to it, and stop trying to impose your backward ways on the rest. Not everyone enjoys shitting in the woods.

I am not the one claiming butthurtness about religious rituals, and I think even YOU would agree that it's a good thing there are no cheesy taco stands or other franchise restaurants on the Mt., so what's your point ?
