28 story building on sacred, stolen land? Please stand strong and be safe. All over the world Kanaka Ma'oli are watching. All over the world others are watching, too. From California I wish you your stolen land back and some say in what happens to it. You are an inspiration.

I love the unity of people. Everyone there standing for the mountain, standing for what's right. At least they are coming together for the love of Hawaii. This is true Aloha. Aloha Aina.

Religious sacred Mauna Kea, should not be used for a giant telescope! Besides offending Hawaiian Kanaka Maoli who practice their religion, Mauna Kea is not practical for a telescope! In Hawaii, Mauna Ke'a is an active volcano. It has numerous Earthquakes a month. There are many other places more practical and acceptable in the USA and elsewhere to put the 30 Meter Telescope. Hawaii cannot afford a telescope. Hawaii can't afford schools to have repairs and supplies. Local government supported Healthcare is not able to pay for doctors and equipment for hospitals. They are still working on getting a cardiologist full time! All people on Hawaii Island who want County water, and clean ocean water free from sewage, can't get the goverment to pay these basic services. If the government can't afford roads, sewage treatment, water works, schools and other basic services, this is a crime against tax payers! The Thirty Meter Telescope is not needed. It is a play thing for rich people!

"For the scientist who has lived by his faith in the power of reason, the story ends like a bad dream. He has scaled the mountains of ignorance, he is about to conquer the highest peak; as he pulls himself over the final rock, he is greeted by a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries. "
-Robert Jastrow (Founder of NASA's Goddard Institute
Director of the Mt.Wilson Observatory, once led by Edward HUBBLE)
"It is a telescope, to look into the very origins of life and the universe"
    -Gov. Ige
Governor, Robert Jastrow would tell you that you do not need a telescope to do that........and he would, certainly, know!

The question about the kupuna, what you think going happen when it's time....they going get arrested to... look at Waimanalo, sand island, kukailimoku village,ka'u and every where else dat KANAKA MA'OLI took a stand, you media like address the shit dat means nothing...wake up to the task at hand,it's not the mass of KANAKA MA'OLI and others, that is the goal here,it,to stop the prying eye telescope,KANAKA MA'OLI neva find hawaii wit one telescope the used their maka and looked up and understood the night sky....
We need media who not skead and say dis some fucked up shit, going on on dis mauna,we get tutus out hea dat been fighting all there life, dey need closure, dey shouldn't be sitting on a mountain, they could be at home teaching the moopuna the way of old..but a call to arms Is a call, weather its from a pu.....a ohe or pala Das all that's needed and dey show up...so to you media use dat as an example of what and who shows up when it matters...chee Hu love all KANAKA MA'OLI and everything thing about it,Imua we not hawaiian we KANAKA MA'OLI

The fiscal budget of the State Hawaii is about 14.1 billion dollars for year 2019
The TMT project is estimated at completion to be around 1.4 Billion
The TMT project cost more than the total destruction of Kilauea volcano in 2018
Good bad or indifferent the money flowing into the State from this project is significant
Over Ten Years this project is still equivalent or about 1/100 of Hawaii’s fiscal spending budget
Compassion , Compromise , perseverance and working together must provide Hawaiian Homeland and State Politics “Clear” and understandable benefits to both as State economics progresses 🌺🇺🇸
Administrative leaders are doing there duty following the Standing legal direction given to the project .
50 million or the equivalent of what the University of California has invested in this project is to directed to TMT security
Hopefully this money will be better spent helping County State and University .
Very proud of the focused but lawful protest and responsibility of both civilian and site security enforcement .🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

fuck the money, it isn't going to buy Hawaiian homes on Hawaiian Home Lands. Who gets the money? Politicians, brokers, lawyers, out of state builders, select state contractors. Doesn't go to the people who have to look at the zit. Got enough zits of the face of Mauna Kea. GREEDOM/?

@@newvocabulary Only way to be ceded into the U.S. as a state is by vote by only the people of the nation joining. There was a vote in Hawaii, but the majority of voters were not residents of the Hawaiian Kingdom but were U.S. residents. There is also U.S. investigations stating the Hawaiian Kingdom was illegally overthrown and it's sovereignty should be returned. Long story short, Hawaii is legally not part of the U.S. Google it.

Manu Rowe yes, it is the same flag. The flag was retained as the state flag as recognized by the U.S. Corporation of America. IMHO I pray independence for the kingdom of the Hawaii islands.
