  • For this #QuickLesson we're going to learn how to create a mind-blowing Augmented Reality experience which is based on a piece of our own artwork or an image that we've found. We're going to photograph that artwork and import it into the Reality Composer app, setting is as an Image Anchor. Then we'll build our own AR Experience around that image using text, speech bubbles, 3D models and more before previewing it using Augmented Reality. Lastly, if you'd like to go even further, we're going to add animations and movement to our AR objects to make them appear and move around your artwork. It sounds like a lot, but with this Quick Lesson you'll be away and creating in no time!
    So grab an iPad - or maybe get your class to grab their iPads - and let's get started!

    WOW!! I must say, YOU are the most effective teacher I've seen on the internet...clear, concise and very easy to understand, in a non-tekkie language!! Now, on to your creativity...amazing!! Excellent presentation skills (audio as well as video) !! The best I've seen. Thanks. Definitely Liked and Subscribed!!

    I'm trying out Reality Composer for the first time ever today. I'm looking forward to enhancing my own digitally painted 2D artwork (Procreate) and digitally created 3D sculptures (Nomad Sculpt) with this AR tool. Thank you for making this video tutorial. It's a brilliant intro for someone as old as me (late 60s) and a real inspiration for me to take advantage of the many new creative possibilities. Thank you again for your hard work.

    Thank you for this! Is there a way that the public at large can see this kind of AR animation when scanning an image, without sending them the .reality file? For example, by scanning an image of your album on Spotify with their camera?

    Impressive video. Much appreciated.
    I'm interested in using this tech for education. I'd like to be able to do object capture of a fire truck, then add callouts and then share in 3d renderer. It's not an AR use case as such. I know there are ios apps that already do capture via lidar, and i'm intrigued as to how they do it, since ARKit will only run on a Mac running Monterey.
    Being able to publish 3d objects, like a portable pump, with callouts would be a really valuable educational tool.
    (I'm a flutter geek and a volunteer firefighter).
    Thanks for your work.

    Great video! Thanks for sharing this idea.
    But what happens afterwards? How can the students scan the artwork and can they do it on their own iPads ? Hope you find the time to answer me because I would really like to Incorperate this idea into my lesson plans.

    • @iPhoneQuickTips
      @iPhoneQuickTips  3 роки тому +1

      Great question! So firstly you can save the Reality Composer file and share it with pupil iPads if you want to create something for them to experience - but far better I’d suggest letting them create this themselves from start to finish! They can follow this tutorial themselves or you can teach them in real time. It’s great fun and I bet they’ll love it. Don’t forget you could always use the iPads built in Screen Recorder to capture their learning and share it as a video.
      Hope that helps! I know it’s cheeky but please do feel free to subscribe to the channel too, this is my tenth QuickLesson video and there’ll be lots more to come as well I’m sure :)
